Design Team Monday with Susie

Welcome Eyelet Outlet Fans!

Susie here with a few Valentine projects in some unexpected colors.

My first project is a valentine that I think any little girl would like.  The colors are fresh and a bit funky and who doesn't appreciate that combination?  I used two different sets of brads. The first is the Owls - Bright set and the second is the Heart Brads set.  The heart set has a mix of red, pink and white hearts in various sizes.  I just used the large red hearts on my project.

My second project is a little treat tote that is perfect for a little boy who might be getting an Xbox gift card this year for Valentine's Day.  My brads are from the Truck Brads set.  This twelve piece set has three different designs in it. I've only used two of them here.  I love the black and yellow trucks with just a hint of silver and white!! That's it for me today, but be sure to stay tuned here at the blog.

We always have something fun to share with you and inspire you!

If you have a chance, I would love for you to visit me at The Dies Have It.

Wrapping up this week's Valentine inspiration

Hello Eyelet Outlet fans. Welcome back for the last day of our Valentine's Day inspiration. Today I have a fabulous Valentine's Day themed project to share with you.

  love_mini_book_cover

I love making mini books for holidays. It's a great way to display photos (and in this case have something ready for photos). The cover is my absolute favorite part. It has beautiful texture and the paper flowers added so much dimension. I used several layers and scrunched them to make them stay
 raised off the cover.

Here's a look at all of the pages of this Valentine's Day mini book.
As you can see, they are packed with brads, bling, and flowers. If you're creating this ahead of time, make sure to leave room for Valentine's Day memorabilia and photos.

Layouts on Friday with Rosandra

Welcome back Eyelet Outlet fans and Happy New Year!

In a few weeks love will be in the air and here's this week's inspiration to help get you started.

This particular layout used lots of pattern paper strips for the backgroud, so I used the black pearl bling strips to accent the large arrow.

    i_love_you_valentine_layout

I used the paper flowers in place of the hearts. I added some ink to the edges to add depth and accented them with stippled and pearl brads
