I'm Grape-ful For You!

Hello crafty friends!  As we are heading into the season of gratitude, I thought I would create a nostalgic card that not only expresses gratitude, but is a bit of fun, too!

Growing up, we watched I Love Lucy as a family.  One of my favorite episodes is captured in the image that I used for my card.  As I colored up the image with Copics, I could visualize the episode in my head and it made me laugh.

When I first saw the Grape Brads and Wine Washi Tape, I knew that they would pair perfectly with this image, and I was not disappointed!   At the last minute, I also added a few white pearls that I separated from the Pearl Bling Strip.

Did you have a favorite show as a child?  I would love to hear what it was!   Thank you so much for spending a few minutes with me!

Christmas Tag

The design team and I have been having the best time creating with the new brads at Eyelet Outlet!  They are all so darn cute!

Today I've got a Christmas tag for you featuring the new caroler brads.  I used Christmas sheet music for the background and the church is a image from the Cricut library.

I added a snowflake brad as well as some clear swirl bling to the tag.  Since I couldn't help but sing Joy to the World while I was making this, it seemed fitting to add a music note brad, too!

Enjoy the day with those you love!

Thankful for the Little Things

Hello my Gnomie little friends! Have you seen our new release of Gnome Brads? These are an updated version from our past gnomes and do they deliver! They are in two styles and four different colors. I like them all but I especially like the gnomes with the outstretched arms. Super cute!

For my card, I used stamps from the Spellbinders Stamp of the Month for September. I stamped the large gnome and the fall banner on a stitched white rectangle piece and colored them with Copic markers. I used some very light blue markers to create a sky effect and drew the stalk and a leaf for the Sunflower Brad and the Mini Leaf Brad. At the base of the sunflower, I added a Pumpkin Brad. I used three of the four gnomes in the Gnome Brad Set as shown. I also added a bit of grass and then mounted the finished piece on to a dark orange die background. Bright orange cardstock was used behind the main piece and that was then mounted on a dark brown A2 card base.

Coffee anyone?

Hello crafty friends!  Are you a coffee drinker?  I think I shared before that I am!  It is all about the coffee in my house!  Even if you aren't a fan of coffee, I have a project that is perfect for the coffee (or cocoa, or cider, or tea) lover in your life!

I am still on a fall kick, so I decided I would stay with that theme and create this adorable coffee cup gift card holder.   The belly band holds the gift card inside!  How clever is that?
To create this, I used some beautiful fall floral printed paper and I added some of the beautiful brown rhinestones from the Brown 4mm Jewel Strip to the center of some of the flowers.  I used my tweezers to separate them from the strip and adhered them to the cup.
I actually die-cut an extra belly band because I knew I wanted to use brads, so I would need to create some extra room for the back of the brad.  I used kraft card stock for the belly band and trimmed one piece from the extra die-cut and I drew in some white stitching using a paint pen, and I heat embossed the sentiment on a white circle.  I added some of the Mini Leaf brads and a few more of the rhinestones.  I popped it up onto the top of the actual belly band with foam squares, which created room for the back of the brads.
Lastly, I added some gray to the "lid" with my Copic markers to make the white stand out more.

Magical Christmas

I'm making some more magic for you this week with the new Eyelet Outlet gnome brads.  Today I've paired my little gnome with one of our cute snowman brads in front of his little gnome home that I found on Cricut Design Space.

I altered the gnome home a bit by adding a gingham digital paper to the roof as well as a snow cap on the center roof. The sentiment is set off with a snowflake brad and there's a holly brad over the door.

Thanks for stopping by today and we'd love to see how you are using Eyelet Outlet products in your projects!  Please share at Eyelet Outlet Fans Facebook Group!

Susan Creech has now used all the gnomes in the package.  I'm off to order more!

Unicorns are so delightful and fun! I created this card using a digital image that I colored in with markers and fussy cut out! I then added a piece of the fancy long zig zag bling to create a crown for our cute unicorn! So fun, this would make an adorable birthday card for a sweet, little, unicorn-loving gal!

I Want Candy

It is getting close to holidays like Halloween. Unfortunately I no longer
get trick or treaters. No even one. Previously our Bichon was excited about
Halloween and always ran to the door to greet the kids.

At least I can get into the spirit by making a card. I started by stamping
first on plain white paper and then on patterned paper. I fussy
cut the outfit and hat and then glued them on the image.

Copics were used to fill in the hair and face.
I also used clear jewels from the Eyelet Outlet to sparkle up the
bottom of her dress and hat. I framed the image and added
orange paper and patterned paper. I  attached a sign that said "I Want Candy"
and added green square jewels. Finally I added a decorated jewel
and pearl strip to the top and bottom of the card.

Get Well Soon Sunflower Style!

Hey everybody! I hope last week was a good one and you're enjoying your weekend! Leslie here, back as a guest designer (filling in for Janet), sharing a mini slimline get well card using our Sunflower Washi TapeSunflower Brads, and brown Sequins. Sunflowers are my favorite of all flowers, and I can't resist the urge to create cards with them!

I cut a 3-1/2″ x 6″ mini slimline card base from heavyweight white cardstock along with four die cut frames which I adhered together. I cut a layering panel from lighter weight white cardstock and covered it with Sunflower Washi Tape. I added a die cut sentiment along with a Sunflower Brad and several brown sequins which completed the card front.

I cut the inside panel from white cardstock along with layering panels from yellow and brown cardstock which I adhered together. I embellished the white cardstock panel with a strip of the Sunflower Washi Tape which I trimmed along the flower line, and then stamped the sentiment in brown ink.

Pastelloween Bottle Cap Bag Toppers

Hello Eyelet Outlet Fans!  Coming in with a new twist on Halloween embellishments.  This summer we've had a few new families move into my neighborhood.  I thought it would be fun to bring them into some of our neighborhood Hocus Pocus and give them some fun and kooky "You've Been Boo'd"  monster-themed cookies and I thought it would be fun to decorate the bags with these wicked Beach themed Pastelloween bag toppers.

To create my Bottle cap embellishments I used 2 Bottle cap dies and  a spiderweb die to add on some additional layers but also to add a little extra Halloween look. In between each layer, I added foam tape to give it depth and height. For the top layer of my bottle cap, I used La La Land Crafts Flower die, eek word die from my stash and I used my new digital paper collection Wicked Waves by Salty Beach Scrapper, as well as the ephemera pieces from the collection. To top it off I added the Matte finish Enamel Dots- White inside the eyes and around the edges of the bottle cap I added Jewel Bling -100 count blue , for my wicked beach house I added the Glitter Enamel dots- black to give it more depth and don't you think it gave my embellishment that extra wow factor?

For my last bottle cap bag topper I used the rolled flowers in peach, mint and black solid color card stock and added a cute spf 1000 skully ephemera piece backed up with foam tape and I added the Jewel Bling Multi-size 100 count- Pink . I hope you love my Bottle Cap Bag toppers and if you would like to check out my walk-thru YouTube video the link is here:

Hello Fall!

Hi friends!  Are you a TEAM HEATWAVE or TEAM SWEATER WEATHER?  While I love summer, I have to admit that I love autumn!   I am so excited for the weather to turn cool enough that I can pull out my sweaters and shawls.

I thought this would be the perfect time to say "hello" to fall!  My card has a ton of layers made up of patterned papers, a dry embossed panel, and some lace.  I wrapped some cardstock with the Sparkle Brown Glitter Washi Tape (which I absolutely LOVE) and I die-cut the letter "a" from the washi panel.  I die-cut the rest of the letters from patterned paper and I distressed the edges of everything with ink.
I heat-embossed the hello on a piece of coordinating paper, trimmed it down and set it aside.  I added the Leaf Brads to the embossed panel and popped it up with foam squares.   I created a loopy bow with some ribbon and linen thread, and I used the Sunflower Brads to create a button.  I used wire snips to remove the legs of the brad and I used my hot glue gun to add it to the center of the bow.  To complete my card, I adhered all of my elements to the card front.

I hope this inspired you to get crafty and maybe use your supplies in a different way!  Please make sure to leave me a comment to let me know if you are a fan of summer or fall!

Magical Day

I first learned about wiper cards from the Eyelet Outlet Design Team Lead, Janet and I was hooked. They are actually pretty easy to make and have a little mechanism that pops up when the card is opened.

Today I've got one to share with you that features a number of magical Eyelet Outlet products.

I thought it would be oh-so-magical to pair the new gnome brads with some of our fairy brads.  Our brand new deer brad is so sweet and also looked like something you might find in a magical garden.  The fairy house and the gnome house came from the Cricut image library and I added some colorful daisy brads around them. I put skinny glitter washi tape underneath the diamond shaped borders. There's a mini dragonfly brad in the sky above as well as purple swirl bling to finish it off.

If you're in the Meza, Arizona area this weekend, stop in and see us at the Scrapbook Expo!

Gnome Alone

I (Lauren) come from a family that loves puns, and luckily that skill is appreciated in my role as an Eyelet Outlet Design Team Member. When I saw the adorable (g)new Gnome 2 Brads and Mushroom Washi Tape I couldn't wait to use them together with a suitably punny sentiment!

I couldn't decided whether to use the tape as a background or as part of my sentiment, so I decided to do both! I made two mini slimline cards, which each measure about 3.25 x 6.25". For the first, I applied the Mushroom Tape to some plain white cardstock, diecut the letters of "GNOME", added a pair of Gnomes to the M and E, and set the whole thing against a strip of Grass Washi. For the second card, I framed a single strip of the same Mushroom Tape with strips of Glitter Red Washi and Brick Tape, then stamped the sentiment and the little mushroom house from Lawn Fawn's Gnome Sweet Gnome stamp set. I added a Gnome 2 Brad in front of the house, and a Sun and Cloud Brad to the scene. Since I had used the Red, Green and Brown Gnomes from the set, it seemed wrong not to make an extra little tag for the Blue Gnome to inhabit; it features the same Mushroom and Grass Tapes, plus letters cut from Wood Washi and a couple of Bee Brads up at the top.

If you can't get enough Gnomes, there are still a few original EO Gnome Brads in stock and they're on sale... while they last!

likes gnomes... and gnome puns...
and puns generally.

Whooo's Ready For Fall?

 Whooo's Ready For Fall?

Whooo's ready for fall??! The vibrant colored leaves and crisp days! The crunch of leaves as you walk outside with the smell of wood smoke!
In creating my card, I started with using a fall tree digital stamp from Polka Dot Orchard. I then created a background using various fall colors. I used a circle to mask my moon leaving it white. After coloring in the tree with browns and golds, I added the adorable sketched owl brads! I finished off my card with my sentiment and added the owl washi tape! Woohoo! Bring on Fall!

This was a fun card to create and here's a few items you will need!

Flower Pot in Bloom

Today I am using some of the fabulous paper flowers from the Eyelet Outlet
as the highlight of this card. The flower packets come in a single color
but I love the fact that each packet includes multiple sizes so
you can layer them. You can also add a little colored ink
to them with a sponge which makes them very versatile. I put a little
bit of yellow ink on my white flowers. I attached the flower layers
with a stippled jewel brad before I added them to the card.

The flower pot is a die cut and the ribbon is hand made. To add
a little more sparkle I used the 5mm jewel strips from Eyelet Outlet
in the turquoise and champagne colors.

Next week I will displaying a cute Halloween card.
See you then.

Life is Simple Retirement Card

Hey everybody! Here's wishing you a wonderful week ahead! Leslie here, back as a guest designer (filling in for Janet), sharing a mini slimline retirement card using our Village by the Sea Washi Tape, Wide Wood Washi Tape, Wide Sky Washi Tape and Sun & Cloud Brads! I love creating little scenes on my cards and it was fun watching this one come to life! I added a plank created from a narrow strip of white cardstock covered with Wide Wood Washi Tape along with Sun and Cloud Brads, and then stamped the sentiment and some birds in StazOn Jet Black ink.

I cut the inside panel from white cardstock and embellished it with a strip of kraft cardstock, and then stamped the sentiment in light brown ink.

It's All About The Details

Hello Eyelet Outlet Crafters!  Did you know that in United States the custom of kids trick or treating didn't start until the 1930's and 40's?  Kids were given homemade treats, such as popcorn balls, cookies, cake.  Halloween candy became commercialized in the 1970's and just this  last October in 2021, the candy sales reached the highest ever at 10 billion dollars! I decided to go old school this year and I am going to make homemade treats for my neighbors. Today I am sharing with you one of the several Popcorn treat boxes that I made using Doodle bug papers Fright Night collection. This fun popcorn box cut-file was easy to cut out on my Cricut and fast to assemble with a little folding, scoring and some glue. The best part of making crafts is decorating in my opinion. I used some of EO's Yellow Enamel dots and   Multi- Size Orange Pearl Bling. I also removed some of the purple pearl flat backs of the Purple Pearl Strips and glued them on to my popcorn box. I also created a little card/tag and added one of EO's 1/16" Tiny white eyelets to not only strengthen the tag but it added that extra special touch to make this popcorn box spooky cute. Lastly, I  embellished the box with a cute Doodle bug skull  sticker and glued on some kooky little googly eyes.

If you would like to see the walk-thru video of my Popcorn Box Project plus a few other boxes and gift bags with bag toppers the video link is Below:
