A Visit with a Gingerbread Couple

Eyelet Outlet Gingerbread Brads are about as cute as it gets already, but... they're even more adorable in front of a Gingerbread Cottage, with a Gingerbread Washi sky, and "landscaping" made of Candy Cane and Peppermint Candy Brads. The cottage is trimmed out with Sparkle White Glitter Tape icicles and a Heart Enamel with a sentiment from Foil Red Stripe Washi.

There are lots more holiday brads, tapes and bling available in the Eyelet Outlet Store!

Santa Claus Is Coming To Town!!

Christmas planning, crafting, and preparing is in full swing! I just love this image of Santa gazing up at the sparkling, decked out tree...

I love using Kraft cardstock for my card bases and started with adding a Christmas sentiment in brown and distressing the edges! Then I used my Christmas tree image with Santa and colored in with markers! I embellished with Swirl Bling Jewel in Champagne, and Jewel Bling Strips in green and clear. My tree topper was a Stippled Jewel Edge Brad in Clear. I also added a little fuzzy, white, fun flocking to Santa's white fur trimming!

Lastly, I decided a Christmas banner across the top would add more layering and of course sparkle and used the Swirl Bling Jewel in Champagne!!

I hope you are making great progress on your Christmas crafts and greeting cards! Thanks so much for stopping by! Don't forget to shop at Eyelet Outlet for your crafting needs!

Reindeer Greetings

This is a fun reindeer I constructed with a die cut from Spellbinders.
I added a bit of distress ink around the edges of the head then some
fun embellishments from Eyelet Outlet.

I used plaid papers to add to the rustic feel then added a "Merry
Christmas" washi tape to each side of the card. Of course I needed to pretty
up the reindeer and I added a poinsettia brad to her ear. The square gems next
to the Merry Christmas sentiment fit in perfect. Finally I added a black pearl
on her nose and she is ready for Santa's sleigh.

Polar Bear Wishes

Today I've got a Christmas card with a decidedly outdoor theme. Eyelet Outlet has a lot of animal brads but the Polar Bear Set is one of my favorites. It comes with a large and a small bear. I've made them the focal points of my card.

I began this card by cutting two pieces of white cardstock 2" by 5". I covered one with strips of washi tape using Poinsettia Washi Tape and Holiday Washi Tape. Then I tore an edge off of each piece so that they I could adhere them to a green mat. This was then glued on to a red A2 card base. I made a sentiment strip and mounted it on red cardstock. It was very easy to tear the washi tape covered pieces to get a distressed looking pieces for a little different look. You can also cut washi tape covered cardstock with dies or an electronic cutter.

I cut a decorative circle out of cardstock covered in Sparkle White Glitter Washi Tape. Now for the fun EO brads. In the center I placed a Pine Tree Brad, a Sleigh Brad and the small Polar Bear Brad. I used the large Polar Bear Brad on the left side of the sentiment as an accent.

Walking In a Winter Wonderland

Hello, friends!  So happy to be here with you today!  A week has passed since my last post, and I have made a little more progress on my Christmas cards.  How about you?

I had so much fun creating this Bay Window card (I had never used this fold before) starring a little winter wonderland scene that I made starring some of the amazing winter/holiday brads that are in the shop (see my shopping list below for the links).
I started with a square of Bristol Smooth card stock and I ink-blended the entire square using Distress Oxide Ink in Chipped Sapphire.  I did several rounds of spritzing it with water to add the snow fall to the sky.  I die-cut some hills using a die that I have in my stash, adhered them to the square and trimmed the edges off.  I added some sparkly texture paste to the hills.  My tub is nearly dried out, and it has been retired, so I need to find another sparkly paste that I like.
I then added the brads to the panel to create my scene.  To complete my card, I added my favorite - the Glitter Enamel Dots in red!  I couldn't believe how cute this turned out.
I love this card fold, as it folds flat for mailing, but it stands on its own, and the possibilities are endless!

Thank you so much for hanging out with me!

Thankful

Happy Thanksgiving to all of our followers and customers!  At Eyelet Outlet, we're thankful for you!

When I'm creating a rustic themed card, I always like to include Eyelet Outlet's screw brads.  Here I have used them on the hinges and I think they add so much dimension to the card.  I've also nestled a few of our beautiful and popular leaf brads among the paper flowers.

Wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving from all of us at Eyelet Outlet!

Happy Turkey Day!

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving here in the US, so this seems like the perfect time for a card that sums up the holiday, in Eyelet Outlet Brad style. Chunky diecut letters make a nice home for a combination of Pumpkin Brads, a handsome Scarecrow, a Rake, lots of Mini Leaves, and Fall Stitched Flowers with their Mini Stitched Flower friends.

Wishing the happiest of holidays to all those who are celebrating! Meanwhile, should you need a little retail therapy over this wonderful weekend for shopping, the Eyelet Outlet Online Store is open 24/7!

plans to eat entirely too much turkey this weekend!

Warm Winter Wishes

Hello Christmas Crafters and Card Makers! Here is a card I created with a postage stamp style image and fun Eyelet Outlet accessories!

I started with the Christmas postage stamp image and added some coloring to the background using alcohol markers. I then added some sparkle glitter for snow and embellished with the Snow Tree Brads. To create my background I stamped the sentiment in blue to coordinate with the border washi tape called "glitter tall tree washi tape wide" and added the most adorable little reindeer brads from the set Santa Deer Brads!

I hope you are making great progress on your Christmas crafts and greeting cards! Thanks so much for stopping by! Don't forget to shop at Eyelet Outlet for your crafting needs!

Santa down the Chimney

This is a Santa card as he is going down the chimney with some
gifts. I hope he has some cookies and milk waiting for him.
I had a fireplace die from Spellbinders and that started the inspiration
for this fun holiday card.

The Santa was added with brads from Eyelet Outlet of the Santa suit and the
also brads of Santa's boots. I love the poinsettia brads accenting the greenery
on the mantle on the fireplace. Finally, in the top corners are small
black enamel dots also from Eyelet Outlet.

Have fun creating and here is your Eyelet Outlet Shipping List:

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree!

Hi everyone. Today I'm celebrating this card for being published in the Winter Edition of Creative Scrapbook Magazine. I'm super excited to feature Eyelet Outlet Products and is a fun one!

Not all Christmas' have snow. This tropical Christmas card has me thinking of warm breezes and sand between my toes.

This A2 sized card was created using cardstock from the Lawn Fawn Really Rainbow Christmas pad. The palm tree was cut on my Cricut with a free file from Printable Cuttable Creatables called Christmas Palm Tree. I cut all the pieces out and put two slits in the sand piece and inserted the bottles from the Beer Brad set. Then I covered the sand piece with embossing ink and heat embossed it with Sand powder from Hero Arts. Then I glued everything down on the back ground and inserted the Holiday Light brads. I also used a Holly brad near the coconuts. I printed the sentiment on photo paper, cut and matted it on matching cardstock.

I was inspired to do this card by the Corona beer commercial where it's a dark night and you hear a guy whistling Oh Christmas Tree. Then suddenly a single lighted palm tree brightens the picture. I love that commercial and the beer isn't too bad either! LOL!

The inside sentiment continues the "warm" vibe. I colored this with Wink of Stella Fine Glitter Pens.

After doing many traditional Christmas cards, this one was a breath of fresh air. I hope it took you on a quick magical trip to the tropics too!

Have YoursELF A Merry Christmas!

Happy Friday, friends!  Do you make your own holiday cards to send or do you buy them?  I don't know about you, but I feel like Christmas is coming WAY too fast!

I am scrambling to get my holiday cards finished, so I decided to create a fun center-step card for one of my favorite co-workers!
This fun-fold was perfect to use several fun embellishments!  On the center panel, behind the elves, I wanted some sparkly bling, so I used the beautiful 1/2" Snowflake Bling.  I added the Snowflake Brads to the side panels, and what elf card would be complete without the Elf Brads!  They were perfect to go on either side of the sentiment.
In case you are unfamiliar with this fun-fold, it is free-standing, and this is what it looks like from the side.  You can also see how the inside of the card is decorated.
I hope that you will leave a comment and share about your holiday cards!  If you make your own, do you mass produce the same card for everyone, or do you create individual cards?

Pine & Dandy

When I saw this beautiful digital paper set called "Woodland Forest Friends" from CreativeBu on Etsy, I knew it would pair so perfectly with Eyelet Outlet's pinecone brads.

I created this little gift bag in Cricut Design Space by slicing the image in two and applying the digital paper just to the bottom half.  I cut a pine branch from cardstock and added the pinecones, a couple of snowflake brads, and the cardinal brad to finish it off.

I think this little bag turned out "Pine & Dandy," don't you?

A Walk in the Woods

As much as we enjoy seeing the leaves return in the spring, there is definitely something to be said for the loveliness of bare trees, where we can see the trunks and the branches... and any wildlife that might be passing... so clearly. In this case, the wild life consists of Eyelet Outlet Deer Brads, in a forest where a few Snowflake Brads are softly falling. There are also four styles of EO Washi on this A2 card: Wood TapeTwig TapeGlitter Copper and Glitter Tall Tree Tape.

The woods are created with Penny Black's Woodland Scene dies, which look wonderful with both pieces stacked together; but it turns out they look equally nice when used singly, as on this slimline version. The trees have been cut from cardstock to which neat strips of Sparkle White Glitter Tape have been applied, to make a sparkling snowy scene. All three styles of our Cardinal Brads (Cardinals, Female Cardinals and Profile Cardinals) stand out beautifully against the snowy trees and blue sky, while flurries of Red Snowflake Bling drift downwards.

There are plenty more birds and beasts, flora and fauna, in the Eyelet Outlet Store, you should probably go and check them out!

Holiday Ornaments

These are some fun ornaments to make using white porcelain
ornaments and alcohol inks. All the pretty sparkle is courtesy of
Eyelet Outlet and their wonderful jewel bling.

The white porcelain ornaments can often be found at craft stores
or ordered from on-line. I used various colors of alcohol inks including the
metallic colors. I made my own bows then added single jewels in clear
and the XL Snowflake Bling.

They are easy to make and I often use them as hostess gifts too.
They have lots of sparkle so give them a try.

May Your Season Sparkle!

Hello EO fans! It's Janet here again to share another of my holiday cards featuring Eyelet Outlet products. This is a slimline card. I backed the border with Sparkle White Glitter Tape and it provides a nice contrast to the dark red border. I used it also as a mat. I added a Cardinal Profile Brad, Female Cardinal Brad, and a Holly Brad. In the background I used the Snowflake Brads which come in various sizes.

Here's a close up of the brads used in the card. You can see the Sparkle White Glitter Washi Tape in the border also. It adds a nice shine.

Happiest of Holidays!

Hello EO fans! I'm here with a holiday card for you today. I'm in full holiday mode already and I'm having a blast making these for my Christmas card mailing next month. It'll be here before I know it!

This is a window card. There is a circle cut into the middle of the card base. Inside I placed green cardstock. I then used a decorative circle die to cut out the argyle patterned paper. Next I used a punch to cut out the white scalloped circle. I then used Glitter Star Washi Tape to cover a white square of cardstock. I punched this with a circle punch and glued it to the white scallop.

Now for the embellishments! I used a Sled Brad and Snow Couple Brad in the circle. I added a Sayings Bubble Brad that says Let it Snow. I put the completed white scallop in the middle of the green window with double-sided foam tape. Finally I added Snowflake Bling as the final touch.

Traditional or Non-Traditional Holidays?

Are you a fan of traditional holiday cards, or do you prefer non-traditional themes?  I absolutely love traditional holiday cards and decorations!

When I saw the Cardinal (and Female Cardinal) Brads, I knew that I wanted to pair them with some beautiful greenery and cones.  I thought that they would be the perfect embellishment to dress up my card.

I roughed up the edges of my printed paper with a distressing tool, layered it on red cardstock and adhered it to my card base.  I arranged the winter foilage around my circles and then tucked the sentiment tag under the foilage.  I added the Cardinal Brads and then finished up with a metallic red bow and Red Glitter Enamel Dots.

Shopping List:

Cardinal Brads

Female Cardinal Brads

Red Glitter Enamel Dots

I really love the traditional look of this card!  I hope you do too.

Thanks so much for spending a few minutes with me!

Rosette Angel

Good Thursday to you, crafters! I created this paper rosette angel a few years ago with my Cricut, but I've updated her a bit and also created a sharable file with instructions if you're a Cricut crafter and would like to give this project a try.  I've also seen several YoutTube videos with instructions for making Paper Angel Rosettes with paper trimmer, score board, and punches.

I think it's easy to see what makes this angel so "Heavenly!"  It's beyond a doubt the fabulous Fancy Long Zig Zag Bling! This gorgeous bling comes in 4 different colors and you're going to want some of each, I'm sure!

For a touch more sparkle, I added a strip of skinny glitter washi tape to the portion of the rosette that makes up her halo and there's a pretty poinsettia brad on her little sign.

This angel would look lovely on the Christmas tree or as a package topper.  If you'd like to give her a try on your Cricut machine, here's the link to my file.

The Future's So Bright...

...You Gotta Wear Shades! Here's a bright and cheerful card, featuring some beachy Eyelet Outlet Brads, including a handsome Flamingo, a stately Palm Tree, a Sandcastle, and our Sun and Cloud Brads; all arranged on Penny Black's Glasses die with Cloud Washi lenses, on a background of Rainbow Tape.

While I was experimenting with combinations of tapes I came up with another version I really liked: Love Tape glasses with the Cloud Washi again for the lenses. I added Colored Daisies and a Mini Ladybug to the tiny garden and made a tiny glasses-shaped card base from a piece of window plastic.

Whatever the calendar might say, when it comes to papercrafting, it can always be any season you want, as long as you have a few appropriate Eyelet Outlet embellies!

loves the beach at any time of year!
