Seize the Daisy!

Hello everyone! It's Janet with a summer card featuring many washi tapes and brads that can be found in the store.

I thought it would be fun to show that you can use washi tape instead of patterned paper for backgrounds. While the team has shown that often, this is a slight twist since I've used five different washi tape backgrounds in this case. The combinations of backgrounds is really only limited by your color choices and imagination.

If you'd like to try to do a similar card style, you can use Card Sketch #2 from Mary at Cardz TV. Just search Cardz TV sketches to find her free sketches. She has several fun ideas to try.

To make this card, I cut the rectangles in white cardstock at the sizes indicated in the sketch. Then I chose my washi tapes and applied them to the cardstock. I trimmed off excess tape. Then I stamped the pots, colored them with Copic markers and drew in stems and leaves. I added Colored Daisy brads, Mini Bee Brads and Funky Bee brads. I also stamped the sentiment and added Mini Leaf brads. The shopping list below links to all the brads and washi tape I used.

Once all the pieces were complete, I placed them on an A2 card base and glued them in place. The flower pots and sentiment were then added to the front. It's a fun card that would be great to send to anyone just to say hi, thanks or to let them know you're thinking of them.

I Come Bearing Gifts

The Eyelet Outlet Gift Brads are perfect for your Christmas cards and tags, but also for any gift giving occasion.

I spotted this woman carrying a pile of gifts in the Cricut image library, and I knew I needed to add some Eyelet Outlet gift brads to her pile!

I also sliced a cut out to the sides of the card and put some of our Glitter Rainbow Washi Tape behind it for more sparkle and fun.

Thanks for stopping in today!  Keep on crafting!

Christmas Card(inals!)

Cardinals are some of my (Lauren's) favorite birds and also some of my favorite Eyelet Outlet Brads. We have CardinalsFemale Cardinals and Cardinal Profiles and I've used the first two on this card. To make the male Cardinal's vivid feathers stand out even more, I've clustered some of my favorite holiday washi tapes: Vertical Red Tree TapeHeart TapePoinsettia Tape and Red Foil Striped Washi. My sentiment is one repeat of Merry Christmas Tape, stuck to a piece of cardstock and popped up on foam for extra dimension.

If Christmas in July isn't your thing, check out our Bluebird and Robin BradsSeagullsOwlsPenguins or Flamingos in the Eyelet Outlet Store!

It's a Merry Bear-y Holiday!

Hi EO fans! Janet here to share a "cool" holiday card featuring some of  EO's most fabulous holiday brads, Washi Tape and bling. I do apologize for the reflection in this photo. The cardstock has a sheen and I just couldn't get it at an angle that wouldn't reflect.

This was super easy and fast to create. The border was created using two glitter tapes. I laid down the White Sparkle Washi Tape on a piece of white cardstock and then overlaid it with the Blue Sparkle Washi Tape. Then I used a wavy blade in my paper trimmer to cut both sides. The result is the wavy glitter border than I glued to my card base.

To create the decorative circle, I laid down a strip of Sparkle White Glitter Washi Tape on blue metallic cardstock and then cut a 1 1/2" circle making sure the glitter tape filled out the bottom of the circle and looks like snow. I placed the Pine Tree brads and adult and baby Polar Bear brads. I used two sizes of the Snowflake Brads at the top. Then I mounted this on foam tape and placed it on a larger printed circle.

The largest circle came as a companion piece to the card base and it took the guesswork out of matching anything up since the orange border matches the stars in the card pattern. Finally I used a pre-printed flag sentiment on the card and used a Snowflake bling (1 1/2" size) for the final accent.

Christmas in July: Ho Ho Ho Edition

There's something about making holiday cards in July that helps to offset the hot and humid temps, don't you think? Eyelet Outlet's Santa and Mrs. Claus Brads are happy to celebrate all year long, and on this card they've brought along one of their Deer friends, a Santa Hat Brad and Santa Washi, with a sentiment out of Merry Christmas Tape.

Whether you're making cards for Christmas, Hanukkah, Back to School, Birthdays or "Just Because", Eyelet Outlet has all the brads, tapes, sequins, bling and paper flowers you could possibly want.

Magical Mountain Christmas Drive

Hi everyone. It's Janet back with another holiday card! I certainly have enjoyed breaking out the Christmas stash this month! It's been so hot that it makes it a pleasure to work on crisp winter cards. This time I've made a mini slimline card for your viewing pleasure!

Today I've brought you a cute mountain truck scene. This little red truck with a cheery wreath is driven by no other than Santa himself! He's loaded the truck bed with an ornament, tree, snowman and present! He's driving along a peppermint road with wintery glittered trees and majestic mountains. It even includes a Merry Christmas sentiment across the card. All of this is created by Eyelet Outlet brads, Washi Tape and bling!

This card was really quick to make when the background is almost all washi tape and EO brads and bling complete the scene. This particular truck stamp is from Art Impressions. It's called Christmas Truck Set. It's perfect to load up with your seasonal embellishments.

There's Snow Place Like Home

I'm enjoying all of the fun Christmas in July posts I've been seeing this month on social media!  Here's one that helped me beat this brutal Texas heat wave we're experiencing right now.

These darling little Eyelet Outlet penguin brads are standing outside their igloo home that I found in the Cricut image library.  I turned this project into a shaker card filled with sparkling Eyelet Outlet snowflake sequins and then for even more sparkle, I added some gorgeous snowflake bling.

Thanks for stopping by and "chilling" with me today!

Christmas in July: Snowy Woods Edition

I (Lauren) don't know about you, to me the time that snow and ice really start looking good is NOW... when New Jersey's hot (90F) and humid (75%+) weather makes Christmas in July seem very appealing indeed. Luckily Eyelet Outlet's frosty, glitter washi tapeSnowflake Sequins and winter critters are happy to be featured on cards and tags no matter what the temps happen to be!

I saw some mini shaker tags on Instagram and immediately knew what I wanted to make. I used a set of Sunny Studio Tag Dies and my trusty 1.5" square punch to create homes for my Polar Bear BradsDeer Brads and even a Handsome Snowman; plus a few Snowflake Brads, of course.

I backed the insides of the shaker windows with Glitter Tall Tree TapeGlitter Star Tape and Glitter Tree Tape; then filled the shakers with Snowflake Sequins and Gold Star Sequins. After I sealed up the shakers, I backed the tags with contrasting cardstock, added some jute twine, a few sticker sentiments and called it good.

Whether it's hot or cold where you are, this is definitely a good time to get started on some Winter Holiday makes with your favorite EO items!

would settle for a snowcone
in the absence of snow!

Christmas Beauty by Janet

Sometimes you see one of those premade blocks in a paper pad and you just can't help but add some pretty brads and bling to it! This background comes from a paper pad from the Michael's Hot Buy paper pad category. It's called Say Freeze.

It was already beautiful and the perfect size to add some holiday brads and bling to from the Eyelet Outlet store. It took the piece from pretty to extra special! I double-mounted it on card stock. So pretty and a perfect start to my holiday card stash!

Let It Snow

Today's make was inspired by my childhood in Northwestern Pennsylvania where I saw all the snow I need for one lifetime! Now that I'm in Texas, I enjoy the milder winters.

This little fun fold card features Eyelet Outlet's gorgeous snowflake bling on the front as well as a few of the popular snowflake brads.  I much prefer these beauties over the cold wet ones!  You're going to want to "shovel" a bunch of these into your cart for your Christmas projects!

Happy crafting from Susan!

HB2U

Is there anything more festive than Birthday Sock Monkeys? I (Lauren) kind of doubt it, especially when they're Eyelet Outlet Birthday Sock Monkey Brads AND they're on sale! I've paired mine with some colorful Happy Birthday Washi TapePastel Balloon Brads (also on sale!) and Heart Enamels.

If Sock Monkeys are not your idea of birthday joy, there are plenty of other styles of brads, tape, flowers, bling and enamels at Eyelet Outlet!

Hi everyone! The 4th of July is tomorrow. Along with remembering why we celebrate, the 4th always brings thoughts of fun, sun and mayyyyybe a few cocktails. Today I've created a card celebrating flocktail time with the EO Flamingo, Tall Palm Tree and Sun & Cloud brads. I also used clear sequins and blue pearl bling.
