Susan's Top Love Notes

I've made quite a number of love themed cards through the years.  I often give a few in gift box to brides to be as a shower gift and of course, I give one to my love on Valentine's Day. Choosing my top 3 favorites was more difficult than I expected it to be!

I'm always up for a funny/punny card and I especially love using Eyelet Outlet brads in unique ways, so this love note/Valentine card from 2017 featuring the Eyelet Outlet pig and cloud brads had to make my top three list.

Also from 2017, another favorite was this card featuring the Eyelet Outlet coffee bean brad.

Last year was my "Shaker Card Period" and here's one of my favorites from that collection.  This card features some of Eyelet Outlet's many shine and bling products.  I used the star sequins inside the shaker as well as some stick on gems on the eye glasses and here and there between the enamel hearts.  You'll want some of our beautiful silver glitter star washi tape, too, I'm sure!

Thanks for being with us as we look back on our favorite love notes and Valentines,

Lauren's Valentine Favorites

Isn't it fun looking back at the Eyelet Outlet Design team's favorite Valentine cards and projects? I (Lauren) had a good time scrolling through my cards from the last few years and I *love* seeing what the rest of the team have picked, as well!

With 45 brads from 29 different styles, this two-piece, maximalist Valentine from 2019 has to be my all-time favorite, right? I'm not going to re-list them all here, but if you click the link it'll take you to theWholehearted post where you can find every single brad linked to its page in the EO Store.

My second choice is a fun (though fairly specific, lol) card. Featuring one of the three colors of yarn from our Knitting Brads (they're on sale!) and a few Heart Brads on a background of Blue and White Dots Tapethis More Than Yarn card is from January of 2017

I've used the same diabolical pun three different ways for my Hoppy Hoppy Hoppy trio from February of 2020; with Rabbit and Heart Brads and some Tiny Hearts Tape; with Frog Brads with Heart Pearls on a background of Cloud Tape; and finally Beer Brads and Beer Tape with some yellow Heart Enamels.

Last year's Valentine's Breakfast is another trio... (what can I say, I like making sets) ...this time pairing a punny breakfast stamp set with our Bacon Egg and Toast Brads as well as the waffles from our Chicken and Waffles Set (also on sale!) and more Heart Pearls.

I hope you'll take a little time to scroll around and see ALL the Valentine and Love favorites from our wonderful Eyelet Outlet Design Team!

Valentine Love Cards

Hi everyone! 2021 is soon one for the history books! I'm sure not going to miss much of it. Looking ahead, I'm excited to share my top three most favorite valentine and love cards. It's so much fun going back to look in my photo files to pull out these three for you today. It's also fun to see what the other designers have posted too. I hope you'll check them out!

Let's start with #3 and count up to #1. I'm a bee lover and I adore the Funky Bee Brads and Mini Bee Brads. I used both here along with Skinny Glitter Washi Tapes, Bee Washi Tape, Glitter Rainbow Washi Tape and Heart Shaped Enamels! So much fun color and shine!

Next up is a fun dinosaur inspired card. This one features the Tall Palm Tree Brads, Sun & Cloud Brads and of course the Dinosaur Brads! The Cloud Washi Tape is such a great background to the volcanos! Glitter Washi Tape - Green Pattern is also used as a wild green background to this one.

Drum roll please! My #1 card choice is this fun ice cream card. This one features our Ice Cream Brads and Heart Shaped Enamels. A few Pearls also accent this one. I cut the brown cardstock with the melty edge and used Glossy accents on the edge. The brown cardstock reflects through to make it look like it's melting. Simple but fun effect!

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this little trip down memory lane and also got some inspiration for Valentine's Day. It'll be here before we know it!

Happy Creating Everyone!

Leslie's Valentine/Love Favs!

Hey everybody! I hope you've had a great week! Leslie here, sharing a few more of my favorite projects created with our awesome Eyelet Outlet products! We've been asked to share three of our favorite Valentine/Love projects this time, so before I do that, let me side-track you for a minute. My husband and I are Crazy Cat People. We rescue kittens and cats (present count right now is 18) and we call them our kids, lol! We have 11 inside that enjoy the outdoors in their catio, and seven more ferals/semi-ferals that live in our shed in our fenced back yard with an attached catio. Our four human kids are grown and in their mid- to late-30s with kids of their own, so we've been empty-nesters for quite some time. So, with all this said, two of my three favorites are cat-themed cards! The truth is we love all kinds of animals, so even with one dog-themed card included here, it would be difficult to list these in any kind of 'favorite' order!

My first fav is this awesome kitty card which I created in one of my favorite color combos of black and white with a pop of red. I paired our Cat Brads with our Glitter Black Washi Tape to create this purrfect Valentine or anniversary card!

My second fav is this adorable card featuring our Dog Brads and Kennel Mix Brads which I paired with our Grass Washi TapeSummer Tree Brads and Sun/Cloud Brads to create a fun scene. I also used a Paw Brad on the inside.

And my third fav is this super cute 'feline good' card which I created in a rose and burgundy color combo and features our
Fox & Flowers Wide Washi Tape on the background. I also used our Feline Brads which I paired with a Pink Enamel Heart and White Pearl Bling. As you can tell, this inside sentiment is one of my favorites and gets used a lot! ;)

Gi-ANT Birthday Wishes

I have a fun little birthday card for you today.  The GIANT ant image is from the Cricut image library and I thought he needed some pals so I added Eyelet Outlet mini ant brads to the card.

For some extra color and interest I also used a couple of Eyelet Outlet Paper Flowers with an enamel dot center and some leaf brads.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to join the Eyelet Outlet Designers next week when we share our favorite Valentine projects!

'Twas the Week Before Christmas...

...so there's time for just one more Eyelet Outlet holiday card design! This one has a winter vibe (which seems appropriate on the second official day of that season!) featuring a double row of the beautiful Glitter Tall Trees Tape in the background, and an ornament bedecked with a Deer Brad, some Pine Trees and a couple of Snowflake Brads, dangling from a Jewel Strip hanger, with a small scattering of Snowflake Sequins.

Wishing you a warm and wonderful First Week of Winter!

Santa Clause Is Coming To Town!

Santa Clause is definitely coming to town! It's hard to believe that Christmas is less than a week away. Are you making last minute Christmas cards? I know I am! This was a fun one to make with a quick little watercolor window scene. The Santa and Snowman Couple Brads fit perfectly into the scene. The Gift Brads are a perfect accent to the stamped sentiment. I used two washi tapes on this card also. First the background to the window is Glitter Star Washi Tape. I also used Sparkle White Glitter Washi Tape under the die cut border.

I think this one was a great last minute project and it'll be popped into the mail on Monday. I hope you all have a great countdown to Christmas and that your holiday meets all your expectations!

Happy Creating Everyone!

Mini Christmas Explosion Box, Oh My!

Hi everybody! Leslie here sharing a super fun and easy mini explosion box with you today! Are you done with your Christmas crafting or are you still feverishly creating fun stuff?! Christmas is my favorite holiday so you'll find me in my studio creating fun Christmas cards and projects all year long! I love to create all kinds of 3-D projects, especially explosion boxes with three or four layers inside to embellish, but when I saw this mini, I just HAD to make one because it's the perfect size to decorate inside with our brads! Although I used my electronic die cutting machine, this could very easily be hand-cut and scored at 2" intervals.

I cut the explosion box base from metallic green cardstock, the inside panels from Christmas patterned cardstock, and the outside panels from two other Christmas cardstock patterns. I kept the embellishing very simple and used one Candy Cane Brad, one Gingerbread Brad, a Santa from the Santa & Mrs. Claus Brads, and one Snowman Brad to decorate the inside panels. I stamped the sentiment in red ink on the center panel cut from white cardstock, and finished the box with a tiny bow fashioned from green and white dotted ribbon.

Busy Little Elf

There's been quite a lot of hustling and bustling around my house the past few days as I prepare for the holidays.  I could sure use a little elf helper like the one I've created in this card, couldn't you?

My little elf is wearing a cute little elf hat brad from the Eyelet Outlet Elf Brads set and holding his suspenders in place are a couple of small white enamel dots.  He's calling out "Happy Holidays" with one of our Holiday Sayings Bubble Brads as he hurries by with his wagon loaded with Eyelet Outlet Gift Brads and a Holiday Sock Monkey Brad.

We hope you've been finding fun and creative ways to use Eyelet Outlet products in your holiday projects.

Ugly Sweater Party

We call them "ugly" but there is something totally fun and festive about Holiday Sweaters, especially in card form; and Instant Holiday Sweater Awesomeness can be achieved just by adding Eyelet Outlet Holiday Brads!

These particular sweaters are fussy-cut from a Photoplay patterned paper, but this idea would work with any sweater-shaped stamps, dies or SVG files; or swap for t-shirts if you live in a warmer climate! I chose to make mini-slimline cards with three sweaters across, but again, you could make a grid with LOTS of sweaters, or go clean-and-simple and add just a single one to each card.

My first card features a Candy Cane Brad, a Holiday Light and a Pine Tree; the latter makes another appearance on card #2, along with a Snowflake and an (on sale!Ornament Brad.

The third card sports a Bell Brad (also on sale!) a handsome Snowman and one of this year's brand new styles a Gift Brad.

There are lots more fun holiday brad styles in the Eyelet Outlet store, why not hop over and take a peek!

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

I love a good holiday party don't you? A great holiday dress for the season is a must. I've glammed up this classic dress with Holiday Bling. The card background is make of alternating stripes of Skinny Washi tape and Stripe Foil Washi. The edges are trimmed with Sparkle White Glitter Washi tape.

This card is simple to make and it's definitely festive. It will likely go to a girlfriend who appreciates a good dress like I do!

A Fairy House Complete With Fairies and Sparkle!

Hey everybody, hope you've had a great week! Leslie here sharing a fun 3-D project with you today! Is there a special little girl in your life that would absolutely LOVE a fairy house complete with little fairies and sparkle?! If so, we've got you covered! This fairy house features our Fairy Brads and clear gemstones from our Clear Jewel Bling Strips!

I cut all the pieces from brown, light brown, green, aqua, teal, yellow, magenta, orange and purple cardstock. I assembled the fairy house and added three Fairy Brads prior to adding the second base layer of the house for stability. I added several clear gemstones from our Clear Jewel Bling Strips to the soffit for a little sparkle. I stamped the sentiment on white cardstock in orange ink, cut it with a stitched oval die, and adhered it to the front of the tree stump. The cool thing about this project is that it folds flat for mailing!

How Many Yeti Fit in One Blog Post?

The answer is: Six! Each one has brought along some favorite Eyelet Outlet Holiday Brads, a scattering of Round Sequins, and a selection of festive Washi Tape... See?

The first yeti has brought his (or possibly her... on yeti, it's frankly hard to tell!) favorite holiday treat: a Candy Cane Brad and has chosen Gingerbread TapeHeart WashiRed Dots and some solid color Skinny Tapes.

The second yeti likes being vertical and chose Red Tree TapeChristmas Pattern WashiHeart Tape and two shades of green Skinny Tape. A Holly Brad coordinates perfectly.

Yeti number three likes a bargain, so a Holiday Tree from the sale section was just the thing. Santa TapeMerry Christmas WashiTrees TapeMusic Notes and green Skinny Tape complete the ensemble.

The fourth yeti is wishing us Happy Holidays with a Holiday Saying BubbleRed DotsGingerbread WashiFoil StripesMerry Christmas Washi, and Fun Pattern Tape coordinate nicely.

Yeti number five is also embracing verticality, perfectly enhanced with Red Tree TapeChristmas Pattern WashiHeart Tape and two shades of green Skinny Tape, enjoying a Holiday Coffee.

The final yeti is ready to hang up a Stocking Brad (also on sale!) against a background of Santa TapeTrees TapeMusic Notes Washi and green Skinny Tape.

Whatever aspect of the holidays YOUR favorite yeti loves most, I'm pretty sure we've got some Eyelet Outlet Brads and Tapes that will suit him (or her!) perfectly.

Easy Holiday Scene Making

Hello everyone! Today's card is a fun see-through card that uses a transparency sheet to connect the front of the card to the back of it. Two die cuts placed at the top and bottom are glued to the outside of the transparency. This allows you to see to the back of card. It's a cool effect.

Several Eyelet Outlet products were used to embellish the two glitter die cuts. I love the Christmas vibe mixed with a bit of nature in the form of the tree and deer brads.

These little Gingerbread brads are just the cutest! They are one of my favorite holiday brads from the store. The Snowflake Bling and the Snowflake Brads are so beautiful. They enhance any holiday card you might be working on.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you get to do some Christmas crafting this season. Don't forget that EO products can enhance your projects with ease! See you next week!
