Let's Make Out

Don't you love the fun colors in the Photo Inspiration at Addicted to Stamps and More.

I immediately wanted to break-out my Popcorn Brads and have some fun.

I started building my design using this week's Freshly Made Sketch.

My original thought was to use *Date Night* as my sentiment, but when I found this Sweet Stamp Shop sentiment in my stash, it made me giggle (and have flashbacks to high school), so I used it.

These popcorn brads are just so fun.  I also incorporated swirl bling, enamel dots and my favorite ... glitter enamel dots.

They come in lots of fun colors (like the red & blue you see here).

Thoughts of You

Stamping is such therapy for all sorts of ills. It doesn't "fix" things, but it certainly allows whatever I am feeling to take its course and allows a calmness to return. Yesterday a dear friend passed away and making this sympathy card for his wife helped me with all the emotions I was feeling. Does creating something do that for you? It's a blessing and a help,
I think!

This was a simple card to make. I used the Reverse Masking Technique by cutting a circle frame and then sponging on the inside with Spun Sugar Distress Ink. I kept the frame intact and stamped my group of flowers from Long Stemmed Silhouettes from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps, then removed the frame and stamped the sentiment so it would be part way out of the sponged circle. I added some Pink Pearl Bling and a little Coloring Book Butterfly Brad from Eyelet Outlet for embellishments.

I hope that whatever you create today brings you joy -- and peace!

Best Fishes to the Grads and Dads!

Hi guys, it's Lauren again, with a question for all you cardmakers: Is it just me, or are "guy cards" harder to make than more feminine designs? For some reason, I just don't seem to get as many lightbulb moments in terms of masculine papercrafting themes, so I'm always extra excited to find products that do half the work for me, like these completely awesome Eyelet Outlet Fish Brads!

I mean, seriously, cardmaking doesn't get much simpler than this, does it? I just watercolored a bit of ocean, stocked it with Fish Brads, and stamped a sentiment. Easy peasy!

Not everyone loves to paint (and if you aren't into it, don't worry... I'm probably obsessed enough for both of us!) in which case, another great way to construct a water scene is to just tear and layer a few paper scraps. If you hold the paper right side up and tear *towards* yourself, you can even get a bit of the white core to show, like the froth on top of waves! Then all you need are some more fish. In this case, we're casting our line in hopes of Trout and Bass Brads, but there are plenty of other critters in the "Ocean" section of the Eyelet Outlet store.

Once again, I didn't need much else to finish off, so again I've stamped a sentiment-- I love "Best Fishes" for Father's Day, but it works for birthdays and other occasions, too. A little bit of machine stitching always adds texture and interest, and guarantees that all my layers are firmly attached!

Need more ideas for grads, dads and other lads? Why not check out the "Boy" and "Sports" sections at Eyelet Outlet?

Hi, I'm Lauren, when I'm not hanging out here at the Eyelet Outlet blog, I'm a big fan of the EO Facebook page
Oh, and I have a bit of a blog... which you can visit, if you like! ♥

Graduation Centerpiece w/ Video Tutorials

I needed a fun centerpiece for my husbands graduation party for getting his Masters.  So i set of to make something different and fun, a little faux cake made of clay, paper, and bling!!

I started out making the graduation cap from clay.

I then set out to create all the embellishments and assembling/painting/adding paper to the base of the cake with boxes, the little paper mortarboard for the sides from EZ Laser Designs using the Eyelet Outlet Brad in the center to hold in the tassel, some more clay, and painting chipboard numbers.  Here is a video tutorial on how I created all the steps above.

The last step is to combine all the parts together including the amazing Eyelet Outlet bling and pearls.  Check out my video tutorial below!!

Here are the Eyelet Outlet products on this project - Clear Bumpy Bling, White and Black Round Jewels, 1/16 Mini black round brads, Black Stickyback Pearls Pearls.

I used here lots of enamel dots, pearls, blings and washi tape. All these materials give an some texture and you don't need to use tons of layers and embellishments! This tip work great with mini-format )))
Of course you should use several layers, but here I used the base papers and added some fussy cutting details from the other sheet - and that's all! Add some washi and dots - and your work is ready! Fast and easy ))))

Love Donuts!

Hi everyone!!

Noe here to show a new inspiration project using fantastic EO products ... They are so fun to incorporate in my cards !!

Do you love  donuts as much as I? I like all the flavors and all colors!! Really love them!! So, this card is dedicated to them, hahaha ;) Hope you like it!!

Very easy to make!! For the background I used pan pastels to give color to my white cardstock and then, over it, I stamped my "donuts stamp" and differents toppings, some red hearts and finally I used "#Mmmmmmm" phrases to make a frame for my card.
The fun touch is bringed by different brads that have been incorporated...
