A warm welcome to our new Design Team additions!

We are so pleased to announce the addition of two new Design Team members to the Eyelet Outlet family. They are both talented designers that will be bringing you lots of inspiration over the coming months. Please join me in welcoming...

Heather Hoffman

My name is Heather, and I blog over at Houses Built of Cards. Here is a little about me: I have been married for 13 years to the man of my dreams, and have two sweet daughters age 10 and nearly 9 that I homeschool. I absolutely LOVE making cards – and also enjoy scrapbooking memories of my family. I lived my entire life up until about a year ago in Northwestern Washington State, and now live in a very small town in Wyoming. While we are still adjusting -especially to the cold winters – it has been nothing short of an adventure for us all, with the normal ups and downs of missing our family and friends back home. If you aren’t familiar with my blog name, then let me explain a little! When I started card making, I quickly found that I was making WAY more cards than I could possibly use. Thanks in part to my daughters and something they both cared deeply for, I decided to direct all the proceeds from the sales of my cards to the building of houses for widows and their children in Burundi, Africa, through a ministry called Sister Connection. Building one house is amazingly just $600!!! I just earned enough for my 3rd house, and am already about halfway finished with a 4th one now. I’m so excited to be the Design Team at Eyelet Outlet discovering and sharing lots of fun new ways to use them in my crafty world!

Susan Creech

I'm thrilled to be on the Eyelet Outlet Design Team! My love for paper crafting began about 4 years ago when I decided that I'd make some cook book scrapbooks for my daughters for Christmas. I began searching the web for cute embellishments for their scrapbooks and my search led me immediately to Eyelet Outlet and I've been crazy about their products ever since! Now that I've retired from my 30 plus years as a Student Financial Aid Administrator I have lots more time to devote to the craft I love so much! I live in central Texas with my wonderful husband who always cheers me on and our two cats who just love to "help" me in the craft room! I really prefer to work alone, but I don't want to hurt their feelings!

Design Team Wednesday with Susie

Hello Eyelet Outlet Fans!
Susie here with a few new cards to share with you.

Have you fallen in love with the combination of Washi tape and brads yet? Oh my, once you do....you will be addicted like I am.  I found some super bright Washi tape in my stash and added the strips to my card front along with my typed sentiment.  Then I added the Building  Block brads that are in the Eyelet Outlet store. Click right here to see them.   Who wouldn't enjoy getting this card?

Now for card #2

While I had my Washi tape container out, I decided to do another card.  I typed my sentiment first and then added all the Washi tape strips.  My final touches were the birds and bling.  Be sure to check out these cute birds here and the bling here.

I hope you like today's cards.

Design Team Monday with Annette!

Hello Eyelet Outlet fans. We're having fun showing off the new brads. The breakfast brads are my favorite!! Hello, brads shaped like bacon, eggs and toast!?! What's not to love? Today, I made a fun card using the egg brads. I happened to have a stamp with the perfect sentiment, too.

Back in the day before Facebook, people chatted using Instant Messenger. Remember the IM days? Wow, have things changed. Anyway, my boyfriend at the time (who is now my husband) used to chat on IM. Just to be silly, we would spell every 'ex' word with 'eggs' instead. We thought it was so hilarious at the time. Now, more than 10 years later, this card takes me back to those fun, carefree days. Here is a closeup of the egg brads. Aren't they adorable? I just love them. Look at the details. There are little pits in the egg white just like real life sunny-side up eggs! LURVE!!

For card number two, I created a fun scene. Eyelet Outlet brads are perfect for creating scenic cards.

The stick person brad is holding onto several huge balloons, which carry him up into the sky into the clouds and among the birds!

Products used:
EGGcellent card - Bacon, Eggs and Toast brads
Happy Birthday card - Stick People brads, Flying Birds Pastel brads

Those are my cards for today.

Hope you enjoyed the them and found them full of inspiration!

Design Team Monday with Susie

Hello Eyelet Outlet Fans!
Susie here with a few new cards to share with you.

Instagram is everywhere now, so why not join in?  I found this great little Instaframe die from MFT Stamps and paired it with our House brads that are in the Eyelet Outlet store. Click right here to see them.  My papers are from Teresa Collins and the sentiment is also from MFT Stamps.  This would be an easy card to reproduce if you were having to send out new address cards to your friends.  I jut love the little house brads  lined up along the bottom of the frame.

Now for card #2

This is just a super simple card using some tiny stamps from Technique Tuesday.  Of course I needed something to sit on the arrow...so what better than three puppy brads?  Check out the collection here. This masculine card would be perfect for you to send to that sweet love in your life.  Don't you think?

I hope you like today's cards.

I welcome you anytime at The Dies Have It

Happy Independence Day America!

Happy Fourth of J"owl"y! Ha ha. I couldn't resist. Seriously, though, July 4th is the perfect holiday to bling up your card with red, white and blue gems. I added several small gems from the Jewel Bling Strips. Then, in the center of the top left firework, I plopped a 12mm red pearl brad in the center. They add that extra sparkle and dimension to your projects!

Products used:
Gems - Eyelet Outlet
Stamps and dies - A Jillian Vance Design
Ink - Memento, Hampton Arts, Stampin' Up!

Have a safe and fun 4th of July!

Bling it On!

Hello Eyelet Outlet friends! We hope those of you that shopped at the San Diego and Texas shows grabbed yourselves some fun Eyelet Outlet product. Today I'm sharing some inspiration using our awesome pearl and rhinestone bling strips.

Perfectly Fabulous Day

Supplies: Fancy Pants Park bench collection. Petaloo flowers. Stamped image Unity Stamp Company. Eyelet Outlet pearl bling strips.

The bling strips are easy to use on any card or project. I used them on my card to tie in the Petaloo flowers.

Happy 16th Birthday

Supplies: Fancy Pants Park Bench collection. Stamped image My Favorite Things. Spellbinders circle die and My Favorite Things numbers die. Eyelet Outlet pearl bling strips.
For this card I used the pearl strips to outline the Spellbinders circle die for my Birthday card.

Next I used Eyelet Outlet's red rhinestone bling strips on a mixed media mini album cover.

Since the album page is acetate the bling strips were easy to apply to the page

Supplies: Altered Album Punky Sprouts. Patterned paper Amy Tangerine Yes Please collection. Stamped images Unity Stamp Company.

We want to see your bling creations! Tag us on FB or post them to our  Facebook wall. We love seeing what you're creating with our products.

Have a creative day!
