Boo to You

In this Interesting Year of 2020, Halloween is bound to be a bit different, so it seems like an especially great time to send cards and other greetings, doesn't it? Luckily Eyelet Outlet has plenty of brads to suit the season! I (Lauren) have made a trio of ATCs that can stand alone OR become the centerpieces of some fun cards.

EO Ghost Brads are so cute it's almost scary! Though these guys seem to have been frightened off by a pair of Mini Spider Brads?

Monster Brads, on the other hand, are not afraid of anything... except maybe missing out on their share of the sweets, like Candy Corn Brads! The Bat Brad in the corner is hoping they remember to brush and floss afterwards.

It's a banner day for the witch who lives in the last ATC, thanks to Taylored Expressions' Pennant Parade Cling and Clear set, also the source of the cute sentiments! She's parked her Witch Hat next to a Pumpkin Brad while she goes to fetch her Broom... or maybe her Vacuum??

I hope you'll be inspired to make some fun Halloween cards or ATCs to share with your friends and family. Check out all of the awesome Holiday Brads in the EO store!

says BOO to you!

Monsters on Parade...and using Cricut Design Space to Plan a Card

Hello EO fans! I often use Cricut Design Space and my Cricut to make cards. It's easy to plan it this way and know before it's cut what it will look like when it's done.

I've posted a new video today on this process. It applies to all Cricut machines that use Cricut Design Space (Air and newer).

Click on the link for the video: https://youtu.be/hSAQ0-lHsVc

It features our Monster Brads and Skinny Glitter Washi tape. Go on over to the channel for all the details. While you're there, please subscribe. The team is planning more video content for you.

You Rock!

Hello, Eyelet Outlet fans! I hope you've had a great week! Leslie here sharing a super cool rockin' birthday card! This card features some awesome washi tape, a jukebox and lots of music! And check it out... there's even a gold record! I'm so smitten!

I rounded the left lower corner on the card base. I love to round just one corner because it adds a little interest. I created a narrow vertical panel for the front of the card and applied several strips of Wood Washi Tape and then finished covering the panel with Brick Washi Tape. I added stamped and die cut jukebox, boomerang, star and jack to the panel, then randomly placed five Vinyl Record Album Brads. I stamped 'You Rock!' on the wall in StazOn ink to complete the panel, and adhered it to the card base.

Thanks so much for stopping by today - we'll see you next time!

Mixed Media

Just popping in with an altered playing card! Mixed media is a fun process!

Eyelet Outlet washi tapes and bling add interest and texture to your projects!

You can never go wrong with our Bling and Sequins

A stripe of vertical washi tape makes a great foundation for the altered card.
I also used thin washi to give it a border!

Mixing it up today!

Broom Parking

These high heeled witches are parking their Eyelet Outlet brooms for for their girl's night out!

The lamp post on this card is from Cricut's Mini Monsters image set and the sentiment is from Miss Kate's Haunted Halloween.  The witches are two of the many available on the All Hallows' Eve image set and they paired perfectly with Eyelet Outlet broom brads from the Vacuum and Broom Set.

No Time Like the Presents

I (Lauren) only buy plain, undecorated, giftbags at the big box store. Because I know I can make them unique and fancy with my Eyelet Outlet Goodies! I made this set for my mom's birthday. She loves backyard birdwatching, her beautiful garden, and she's very fond of bling!

I added strips of Bird Tape alternating with Peonies Shimmer TapeBird and Flower Tape, accented with Skinny Pink Glitter Tape. I ran each strip neatly around to the side and tucked it into the fold; although a nice thing about rolls of washi tape is that you can actually run your tape all the way around the bag and make a continuous design. (It's still a good idea to start and end in the side fold, however!) I added white Paper Flowers with Pearl Brad and Jewel Brad centers and snipped apart some green Paper Flowers to serve as leaves. Finally I scattered a few hot pink Sequins around for extra sparkle.

If you're going to make a giftbag as fancy as this, you really need to go all the way and make a matching card, right? I used all of the same tapes and embellies as on the bag; just simplified them a bit to fit a smaller, 6" square shape. I did add a sweet bird from our Bluebird and Robin set to the center of my flower stack, too.

I hope you'll be inspired to use your Eyelet Outlet Embellishments to make your own custom gift bags; I know your recipients will love the results!

loooooooves to embellish!

Melting For You!

Hello everyone! I love little puns and our new ice cream brads make that so fun and easy to do. Here's one that uses a sweet treat to tell someone how much they are loved.

To make this card, I first penciled in a drippy shape on dark brown cardstock and fussy cut it to fit at the top of the card. I stamped the sentiment in Versamark and heat set it with white embossing powder. Then I cut a panel of cardstock in a tan color and stamped it with a lattice background to give the illusion of a cone. I applied glitter skinny washi tape on the edges of my card front.

Next I placed the ice cream brads, enamel hearts and pink bling on the brown cardstock around the sentiment and glued both the brown and tan pieces on to the front of the card. Before I did that, I rounded two of the corners. To make the drips look a wet, I applied glossy accents to the edges of the shaped brown cardstock.

Thanks for stopping in today and I hope this gave you some card making ideas of your own. Have a great Sunday!

We All Scream for Ice Cream!

Hello, Eyelet Outlet fans! I hope you've had a great week! Leslie here sharing a fun birthday card featuring something most of us love... ice cream! And no matter whether you love chocolate, strawberry or vanilla, we have you covered! These adorable brads are new in the store this month so be sure to check them out!

I cut a square card base and adhered a panel of blue cardstock. I layered strips of Glitter Dot Washi Tape on a piece of white cardstock leaving a very thin margin between the strips, and then cut it with a postage stamp die. I layered the die cut on a blue cardstock panel and then on white. I created the sentiment on the computer and cut it in a strip which I angled across the die cut. I added several Ice Cream Brads and adhered the piece to the card base. The final step was adding White Enamel Dots in the corners. Thanks so much for stopping by today - we'll see you next time!

Take a moment and head on over to the Eyelet Outlet site and discover the newest release from Eyelet Outlet --- Ice Cream Cones, BBQ Brads -  Aprons and Grill, and Crab and Lobster Brads.  These brads are the perfect compliment to the summer fun captured on scrapbook pages and cards.

What's Cookin'?

Good Thursday, crafters! As mentioned a few weeks ago,  I recently re-discovered the beautiful retro graphics of Velma and Kathryn Balint of KB and Friends having first purchased from them many years ago.  I've gone completely wild over their adorable collection of boxes that pair so perfectly with Eyelet Outlet products.

Today I'm using a little box reminiscent of a 50's area play cooking set.  I used my Cricut to create a window in the box and attached some clear acetate and attached the box to the card base with foam tape. Behind the window are wooden spoon brads and a pan brad from Eyelet Outlet's Cooking Brads set and Baking Brads set.

The refrigerator and stove are from Cricut's Suburbia image set.  A few enamel hearts finish off the card adding more texture.  Thanks for stopping in!  Enjoy the day with those you love!

Video Tuesday!

Here's the Scoop

The newest Eyelet Outlet brad style is pretty sweet: who can resist Ice Cream Brads? Certainly not me (Lauren) so I thought I'd celebrate by making a card.

There are three "flavors" in each packet: strawberry and chocolate, vanilla and chocolate, plus strawberry and vanilla. But I found it much too hard to choose, and since they're totally free of sugar, fat and calories, I adorned my oversized sentiment with one of each. I scattered a few white Heart Brads around as well and matted my panel on some Glitter Pink Design Tape.

Whether you are (like me!) a total Sweet Tooth, or prefer something a bit more savory, there are Eyelet Outlet Food Brads for literally EVERY taste!

Lauren Bergold

confesses that she doesn't love

strawberry ice cream irl,

but it's her favorite flavor to design

Roll Crab Tide!

I apologize to any Alabama fans who may have been attracted to this post because of the Roll Tide title but hopefully you'll forgive me!

This card features one of the awesome crabs from the Crab and Lobster brad set. I've had a lot of fun creating cards using these little fellas and this once is no exception!

I found this scene as a print then cut on Cricut Design Space. I added the joke sentiment and transformed the altered scene to a new print then cut design. After this was printed and cut, I added the seagulls and the crab. The motion line for the crab was inked using a fine line black pen after it was printed.

I hope you enjoyed this little jokester of a card. Don't forget to stop by the store and pick up your own Crab and Lobster set for you card making fun!

Just Be-Claws...

Hello, Eyelet Outlet fans! I hope you've had a great week! Leslie here sharing a fun clean and simple note card with a beachy feel! I absolutely love note cards because they can be used for a variety of occasions and there's plenty of room on the blank inside panel to write a custom message.

This 'just because' design is super simple and can easily be mass-produced to create a set to give as a gift. I cut a landscape top-folding A-2 card base from kraft cardstock and splattered some white ink with a fan brush over the front. I created the sentiment on the computer and cut it in a strip, then layered it on orange cardstock embellished with brown Glitter Skinny Washi Tape. I added several Crab & Lobster Brads to the left of the sentiment and affixed the strip to the card base. Thanks so much for stopping by today - we'll see you next time!
