Nothing to Wear!

TGIF crafty friends!  Susie here to share another ATC*.

I don't know about you, but the approach of Easter Sunday means it is time for new outfits around my household.  Not that we actually need new clothes, but it is a fun tradition.  When I saw this stamp set I actually laughed out loud - and it is perfect for this time of year!  Time to play...

I stamped onto watercolor paper with Archival Ink and then painted the image.  As it dried I looked around for a little dimensional something to add to my ATC...and I found it!

Eyelet Outlet Hanger Brads are silver in color and come in packs of 12. They are the perfect *fun* embellishment for clothing themed cards and scrapbook pages!  I added 3 to my card.
Here is the finished ATC...

...which I attached to a simple background with Zots...

...to create a finished card.

I did stamp off a few extra ATCs which I would love to share.  If you are interested in one, leave me a comment over on my Facebook or Instagram pages and let me know.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you find some time to play today!  Susie

Materials for Nothing to Wear ATC / Card:

Grab It Quick!

I have often been captivated by the people who use those "claw-grasping" machines to try to win a prize. I've never tried it myself, but I can't seem to pull my eyes away when someone else is playing... wondering if they will be able to maintain control of the prize or if it will slip from their grasp. Some of the prizes can be quite adorable - I always celebrate when a child wins the toy or stuffed animal of his/her dreams.

To create this card I used a variety of Eyelet Outlet brads for the toys and stuffed animals in the machine. And look... I think the Sock Monkey is going home with someone today.

I also used a red Matte Finish Enamel Dot for the handle and added three blue Enamel Dots to the card for some more fun.

I hope you have a CLAW-Some day, even if it isn't your birthday! And I know what would make it an even more CLAW-some day... if you'd head over to Eyelet Outlet and check out the great products there.

When Life Gives You Scrap...

I really love Eyelet Outlet sewing themed brads and when I saw this sentiment recently, I knew I had to create a card with it using Eyelet Outlet products and the quilt image from the Cricut "Country Life" cartridge.

The little pair of scissors and spool of thread were the perfect addition to my sentiment!  The thread has 12 spools in a mix of rose, black, white turquoise, and yellow thread in each package.  The strip of Eyelet Outlet Pearl Bling was the perfect compliment to my colorful quilt-look card stock.

Carrying on with my sewing theme today, I have a second card for you.  Even in the best of relationships, it's sometimes necessary to apologize and here's a sweet way to do with this little card.

This cross stitch heart comes from the Cricut "Valentine's Day" cartridge.  I added some white thread to it that appears to have come from my Eyelet Outlet Thread Brad and my little Scissor Brad has snipped it off.

I'm glad you came by today!  Be sure and follow us on Facebook and Pinterest, too!

EGG-straordinary EGG-cellence

The other day I (Lauren) suddenly realized that despite all the Easter cards I've made this year with my awesome Eyelet Outlet goodies, I hadn't yet made a card with our Colored Egg Brads. So clearly I *had to* make one more Easter card!

Something I discovered a couple of years ago is that standard half inch washi tape is exactly the right width to fit between the staves of most sheet music. Which, as you know, is one of my favorite backgrounds for cards; I use it exactly like ordinary patterned paper. As a bonus, the strong horizontal lines of sheet music mean that lining up tape and brads and bling is a breeze... you don't even have to measure!

For this card I've combined the Rabbit Washi Tape with Rabbit Brads and Colored Egg Brads, then added a sentiment with two different sets of alphabet stickers so the "EGGCELLENT" would stand out even more!

I'd like to wish a very Happy Easter to all who are celebrating; and an especially wonderful First Weekend of April to everyone else! ♥

secretly still loves the Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs
that were her childhood favorite!

Night Shift

Hi folks!  It's Kim from Katydid Cards

Have you ever counted sheep to lull yourself to sleep?  I've never tried it, but I know if I did it would devolve into an overly complicated task of making sure the sheep are evenly spaced and jumping at the same height while redesigning the fence and pondering why the grass hasn't been mowed.  That gives you some small insight into why I don't sleep at night.

But here's a gent who employs the counting sheep method to a successful conclusion; for himself anyway.  The sheep aren't all that thrilled about being on the night shift, however.

To make this card, I used the adorable Pig & Sheep Brads.  The wallpaper is Wide Dot Washi Tape and, as with all finely appointed bedrooms, the bedspread is covered in the coordinating Dot Washi Tape.  The floor is Hardwood Washi Tape and the finials and feet on the bed are Pearl Bling, colored with Copic markers.  And here's a closer look at those sheep.

This card is called a Bridge Fold.  Easy to make, but looks great!  Here's a look down from the top so you can see the fold from another angle.

The back of the card is the perfect spot for the sentiment and another opportunity to use a brad to accent.

I don't know if you caught my post last week using the Pig brad from this pack.  If not, here it is.

I Woof You

Hi Friends! kel here today to share a super fun card that I ended up absolutely adoring.

I started with these Dog Brads. I knew I wanted to make it the focus of my card, but it's so much smaller than I'm used to using as a focal image, so I had to figure out a way to make it seem bigger.

I dug out some word bubble stamps, and found this simple "woof" sentiment stamp that I thought would be the only thing a dog really needs to say to his human!! And I'd like to think that my pups tell me things with love, so stamped that sentiment as far to the right as I could so I had space to add in a pink heart brad

I finished off the card with some dark grey cardstock and some grey and white baker's twine. So cute. I think I need to order some more Dog Brads and maybe even some Cat Brads to make more of these cards... but I think the cat's word bubble might say something a little more sassy!! haha!!

Thanks for stopping by today and see you again soon!!

Quick and Simple

Happy weekend! And an extra shout out to anyone joining us from the Grapevine, TX Stamp & Scrapbook Expo!! We hope you’ll stop by the Eyelet Outlet booth and say hello.

This is Rebecca, and today I have a very quick, simple card. The past couple of weeks my projects have included some long lists of embellishments, but today my list is short: one roll of washi, one pack of enamel hearts, and one sentiment brad.

This roll of washi (in all of its glittery goodness!!) was my choice, but any washi with a repeating pattern can become a full background. The enamel hearts come in several color options, too. A pack of Sayings Bubble Brads makes a quick sentiment.

Thanks for stopping on the blog today.

Travel Card

TGIF crafty friends!  Susie back again with another ATC.

Spring Break!  Road Trip!  So many happy memories created with my family at this time of year - which leads me to the sentiment on today's card:

"It's not where you go that's important...it's who you travel with."

I stamped the CityScape image and travel sentiment on 2.5" x 3.5" watercolor paper with black Archival Ink and then pulled out my watercolors.  After painting in the buildings and a road, I added a Car Brad.

The Car Brads come in packs of 12.  The mix of red, blue, green and yellow cars have black detail and they are super cute!

Here  is the finished ATC...

...which was matted on black cardstock and mounted on a simple card.  I also added a single strip of Tire Track Washi Tape.  Perfect!

By the way, Eyelet Outlet has a nice selection of car themed washi tapes and they would have been another good alternative on this card.  You can see them HERE.

And yes I stamped out a few extra ATCs again.  If you are interested in receiving one just leave me a comment over on my Facebook or Instagram pages!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you find some time to play today!  Susie

So I had to use them.

No Prob-Llama!

Just look at that handsome little pair of llamas:

Wonderful Washi Tape!

I can't take credit for the idea behind this card, because there are many versions of it on Pinterest, but I can tell you where to find the very best Washi Tape for this quick little birthday card!  Eyelet Outlet has a huge Washi Tape selection and great prices, too!

I used all skinny washi tapes for my birthday candles, and then took the card over the top with Eyelet Outlet's fabulous Tear Drop Bling for the candle flame!

For the next card, I used Eyelet Outlet Wide Butterfly Washi Tape.  I adore the colors in this tape!  I couldn't resist adding one of Eyelet Outlet's Butterfly Brads to the center.  You'll find these and several more styles and colors of butterfly brads in our "Bugs & Critters" tab at Eyelet Outlet.

I'm so glad you stopped in today and I hope you'll be by tomorrow to see what our new designers, Jeanette & Susie have for you!  Follow Eyelet Outlet's Design Team on Instagram, too!
