Christmas in (Almost) July

Happy Saturday AND last day of June! This is Rebecca, and I’m celebrating Christmas in July today....even though it’s technically not July until tomorrow. If we can celebrate a holiday 6 months early, surely one more day won’t hurt!

Ho! Ho! Ho! Or for July maybe it should be Hot! Hot! Hot! I love that Santa can make an appearance for our July 4th holiday week.

Today's card highlights some Eyelet Outlet Washi Tape:

I used a variety of Christmas Washi Tape to form the tree. I cut a cardstock triangle and wrapped it; You could also lay strips of washi and then cut the shape of your choice. I added Heart Pearl accents and Glitter Enamel Dot ornaments.

Have a great weekend!

Happy Birthday from the Herd!

TGIF crafty friends!  Susie here with a pop up box birthday card featuring one of Eyelet Outlet's new clear stamp sets!

The Animal Stamps set is the perfect companion to some of the most popular brads from Eyelet Outlet!

I stamped and heat embossed a sentiment on the front panel of the card and pulled out a few cow brads to represent my "herd".  I attached the brads to hand cut hills in the front of the card.  The cow in the back right is actually attached to a piece of clear plastic that I attached to the inside of the card.

I stamped the birthday sentiment on the back panel and added a few of the new Summer Tree Brads to my "pasture".

This dimensional and interactive card was created using a die and it is designed to fold flat and fit in an A2 envelope!

You can see all of the newly released stamp sets HERE.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you  find some time to play today!  Susie

A Good Friend

I consider myself very fortunate to have a best friend who is always there for me.  She celebrates the great times with me and helps me through the dark ones so this card is definitely for her!

I used Cricut's Word of Mouth cartridge for the sentiment and the Best Friends cartridge for the girls.  I was so excited to discover that by sizing the girls at 2.7 inches high I could dress them in Eyelet Outlet's new "Jeans & T-Shirt" brads!  The clothing fit them "to a T!"  😊

A few mini stitched flowers on the landscape and my card was complete!

Follow us on Facebook, Pinterest, and Instagram or better yet, see us in person at one of the many trade shows we'll be attending in the coming months!  This weekend we're at the Scrapbook Expo in Kansas City, MO!

Fun with ATC's!

I don't know about you, but I (Lauren) make more greeting cards than anything else. And let's face it, they are by far the most practical paper-crafting project, aren't they? But sometimes I need to shake things up, and another format I really love is the Artist Trading Card. Like these:

The "official" size for ATC's is 2.5 x 3.5" which is exactly the size of a standard playing card... which is what I use as a base to build my designs. I covered my cards with patterned paper trimmed to size and then got to work on the FUN part: adding the little brad scenes and punny sayings! My first card features the new adorable and realistic Jungle Mix Brads, which miiiiiiiiiiight be my favorite item from the May 2018 Release.

My next card has nothing from the new release, but the Typewriter and Hand Brad sets are still faves of mine, and they inspired me to type all of the sentiments on one of my real vintage typewriters. Plus, it's hard to beat typewriters in love, don't you think? Because if you attach a pair of any brads and add a Heart Brad you've got instant cuteness off the charts, imo!

Our Summer Tree Brads are beautifully realistic deciduous trees in two different shapes (a bit like an ash and an oak tree, I'd say) and they go really well with the Pine Tree Brads from last year. I am secretly hoping that we'll see Autumn Tree Brads at some point, with beautifully colored foliage... just sayin'...

Finally, the Wooden Hanger BradsJeans and Tee Shirts and Dress Brads are also from the newest release and they work wonderfully in all sorts of ways, together or separate. The Jeans and Tee Shirts come with lighter and darker jeans, plus five colors of shirt in each packet; the dresses are a mix of four beautiful pastel shades, plus black.

I hope you'll be inspired to try the Artist Trading Card format with some of *YOUR* favorite Eyelet Outlet Brads! ♥

I Love a Good Book

Eyelet Outlet has a variety book-themed products,
including a brand new Books stamp set!

Today I'll show you two cards I made using this stamp set.

Card #1

I added a bit of Books Washi Tape to the inside of my card, too:

I love the stamp from the set that says "I'm not addicted to... I can quit as soon as I finish one more chapter." And how fun that the gap in the midst of it is just wide enough for a row of Books Washi Tape. WOW! That's pretty awesome!

Book #2

Again, some Books Washi Tape finished off the inside of my card:

Now, if you'll excuse me, I think I'm going to go read a while.

Spit Happens!

Hi Friends! kel here today to share a super punny card!

I started with a piece of white cardstock and then added some stripes using this gorgeous mint green and gold foil washi tape. It comes in pink too, and they're both SO pretty but I'm definitely partial to green, so this one is my favorite!!

After that I added this stamped sentiment from the brand new clear stamp sets... this one is from the Llama stamp set. I also added one of these llama brads, which fits perfectly in the middle of this round "spit happens" stamp!! And look at that gold foil shine! I just love this washi!!

Thanks for stopping by today and see you again soon!!

I'd Be Toast.....

Happy Saturday!  This is Rebecca, back with another card using one of the new stamp sets.

Last week I was here using the apple set. This week I'm using the breakfast set.

* Apple Clear Stamp Set   Breakfast Stamps

These stamps are making me hungry!

No automatic alt text available.

I used shades of yellow and brown Prima water soluble oil pastels on watercolor paper to color a "scrambled egg" background.

For the Chef!

TGIF crafty friends!  Susie here with a tri-fold shutter card for the chef in your life!

Eyelet Outlet created the perfect stamp set to pair with our most popular cooking and baking brads.

I stamped and watercolored the image before adding the Baking Mitt and Muffin Tin Brad.  I was inspired by Kim's card to add some pearls from a 4mm Pearl Strip to create muffins or cupcakes in the pan.  (Such a cute idea, Kim!)

When  you open the card there are so many surfaces to decorate!

Here is a little strip of the Cooking Washi Tape.  This is actually where I found the color palette for this card!

There's a place to leave a personal note - and a Pot Brad from the Cooking Brad set.

There are tons of cooking and baking themed items available for your cardmaking delight over at the Eyelet Outlet Online Store.  Check it out!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you find some time to play today!  Susie

THREE Alarm!

One of the great new brad sets from Eyelet Outlet is this "First Responder" set that includes a Firetruck, Ambulance, and Police Car brad.

I thought three firetrucks hurrying over the road would make a great "Three Alarm" third birthday card for a little guy who loves firetrucks!

I used the fireman image from Cricut's Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge and fire hydrant from Disney's Mickey & Friends cartridge  The paper is a digital set called, "Fire Pups," from Huckleberry Hearts.

Thanks for being here today and come on back tomorrow and see what Designers Jeanette and Susie have in store for you!  Keep crafting everyone!

Newsflash: Cuteness of Sock Monkeys Definitively Confirmed!

Hi guys, it's Lauren here. And whereas it might not actually be news that all sock monkeys are cute and Eyelet Outlet Birthday Sock Monkey Brads are especially so, I'm not sure it's ever been on television until now. See:

I was lucky enough to win a flash prize from The Stamps of Life for my EO Coffee Stamp cards in the latest Coffee Loving Cardmakers' Blog Hop, and one of the items I chose was the TV2Stamps set and coordinating dies. Apart from just how cool it is generally, I thought the tv set would be a great size for making little scenes with my brads, and I stand by that decision. I made a little cluster of birthday brads... in this case the Birthday Sock Monkey, a Cupcake and a Candle Brad... but really the possibilities are endless.

In case you need more *FLASHES* of inspiration, remember that the Eyelet Outlet BlogFacebook page and Instagram feed have daily doses of inspiration from my awesome fellow designers! ♥

confesses that at real life birthday celebrations
she loves cupcakes more than sock monkeys! ;)
