Heat Embossed Washi Tape Panel - Sending Smiles!

Hi everyone! It's Janet here with a bright and colorful card. This one has a background of washi tape in many styles and colors. Check out the shopping list for your favorite patterns. I decided to heat emboss a white diamond pattern over the entire panel and to my delight, it worked very well. I will say the panel initially warped from the heat but I applied an adhesive sheet behind the panel and attached to another piece of cardstock. This controlled the warping perfectly.

On top of this card, I added a fun die cut and strip sentiment. I couldn't help but add a unicorn and rainbow from the Unicorn & Rainbow Brads.

Thanks much for stopping by. Please stop by the store and check out the amazing inventory of washi tapes.

Happy Creating Everyone!

Christmas Cardinal Fun Fold

Hey everybody! I hope you had a great week! Leslie here, sharing a pretty fun fold Christmas card... it's never too early to get started on those Christmas cards to avoid having to rush in an already busy season! This card features our Cardinal Brads, Cardinal Profile Brads, Female Cardinal Brads and Clear Jewel Bling Strips. I absolutely love cardinals. Many people believe that a loved one is watching over us if a cardinal appears, and that's what I always think of when I see one! ;)

I cut the card base from white cardstock, and the remaining pieces from light and dark gray, red and silver cardstock. I added a Cardinal Brad, a Cardinal Profile Brad and a Female Cardinal Brad to the birch trees, and then added a Clear Jewel Bling Strip down each side for a little festive bling.

And the fun part is that this card folds flat for mailing!

Thanks so much for stopping by today - we'll see you next time!

Bling It On!

My granddaughter will soon be six and I wanted to make an extra special Princess themed package topper for her gift.

The little princess I used in an SVG from Miss Kate's Cuttables and her dress was the perfect opportunity for a touch of Eyelet Outlet's gorgeous Fancy Long Bling.  It's available in a few different colors, but I used the clear for this project.  I also added a few strips of Jeweled Bling Strips. Again, it's available in several colors, but I went with the clear today. I also added the Jeweled Bling Strip around the oval frame.

And what princess attire would be complete without a pink sparkling Eyelet Outlet crown brad! And just because there's always room for more bling, I added pink and clear stick on bling around the scallops of the frame.

When I make a rosette for a package topper, I always use a slider on the back to hold the rosette together.  I'm careful to apply the hot glue only to the center and that way ribbon can thread through the slits when it comes time to wrap the gift.

I think my granddaughter is going to love this pretty little princess!

It's a RAINBOW Brad Book

Last year I (Lauren) made an Alphabet Brad Book featuring as many Eyelet Outlet Brads as I could fit onto two dozen or so playing-card-sized ATCs. That project was so much fun I thought I'd do a different version: this time grouping the brads --and a few coordinating EO Washi Tapes-- by color. So without further ado, I present my Eyelet Outlet Rainbow Brad Book!

The cover has a sticker title on top of Rainbow Washi decorated with a Rainbow Brad, a sweet blue Fairy and some white Enamel Stars

Eventually, I'll arrange the pages in spectrum order, but I've been working pretty randomly to choose coordinating brads, tapes and letter stickers, so at the moment, page one has all things ORANGE, including: a PumpkinCandy Corn, a Witch Hat, a Monster, some Foxes, a Tiger, a couple of Ducks, (...possibly a bit nervous being so close to the tiger...) Movie Brads, and the orange gecko from our Reptile Set. With a strip of Geometric Washi, to match.

Technically, a rainbow doesn't contain neutrals, but there are quite a few cool brads that are black, white, grey, and in this case, tan and BROWN, so I figured I'd add a few pages to reflect that. Here you can see: the Kennel Mix, a Paw Print, critters from the Jungle Mix and Lion, Tiger Zebra Set, a Teddy Bear, various Shell Brads, a Fan, a Sunglass BradFlip Flops and a refreshing Beer Brad. With a bit of Wood Washi to hold the title.

The PURPLE page boasts some yummy Grape Brads, a Butterfly, a purple Fairy, a lavender unicorn from the Unicorn and Rainbow set, Knitting Brads (they're on sale!) a Party HatStitched Flowers and Mini Stitched Flowers (also on sale!) as well as Dragonflies; all atop some Checked Purple Tape.

The pages are constructed from graph paper, backed with plain white cardstock, and measure just a smidge over 3.5 x 5.5". I used my vintage typewriter to add the words on coordinating strips of paper.

There are still more colors (and more neutrals!) yet to come, so I hope you'll stop by the Eyelet Outlet Blog again next week to see more Rainbow Brad goodness!

favorite color is
RAINBOW!

Always Be Happy!

It always seems to me that cats are happy creatures. They can act up sometimes but mostly they seem pretty happy with their lives. When I saw the cat sticker sentiment and the always be happy strip sentiment, it seemed to me they fit together nicely.

This is a clean and simple graphic style card. The city scene is easily created using three wide washi tapes from Eyelet Outlet. If you missed it, these cute kitties were released last year and are called Feline brads. I really love the city scene peaking over the brick wall in the distance. The wall is a perfect place for the orange cat to hang out.

Thanks for stopping by today. As always, I hope I gave you a little inspiration to help you with your cardmaking fun.

Happy Creating Everyone!

All-Occasion Notelets in a Sweet Chandler Purse!

Hey everybody! Leslie here, sharing a cute little Chandler purse filled with a set of six all-occasion notelets featuring our Dark Pink Paper Flowers, Silver Edge Clear Jewel Brads and Pink Enamel Dots. I love to create paper purses and this was a fun, easy and practical project!

I cut the purse base and handles from hot pink cardstock, and adhered patterned paper panels to the front and back. I scored the flap in 1/8" increments in one section so it would curve appropriately. I adhered a large Dark Pink Paper Flower held together with a Silver Edge Clear Jewel Brad to the flap and affixed a tiny magnet closure. The finishing touch was adding two Pink Enamel Dots to the front just under the straps.

I cut the notelet card bases from white cardstock and embellished the fronts with hot pink cardstock and patterned paper panels to match the purse. I stamped images and sentiments on the cardstock panels, and added Pink Enamel Dots to each card front. The final step was creating envelopes with my envelope punch board.

Spring Bunny Loves You

Hello EO fans! It's Janet here today to show off my first spring/Easter card of 2022! Valentine's Day marks the beginning of the spring season and I am totally ready for it. How about you?

This card features a cute little spring bunny image. What makes this card special are the fun brads and washi tapes from the store. It's so easy and fast to create a scene using washi tapes. The egg and polka dot stripes are washi tapes. The grass the bunny is tucked into is also washi.  I've used a Chick brad, Butterfly Brads-Bright and the Sun and Cloud brad set in the scene. Finally I added a Pink Enamel Dot and two pink Heart Shaped Enamel Hearts to finish this scene.

A Block Card for the Day of Love!

Hey everybody! I hope you had a great week! Leslie here, sharing one more Valentine before the day of love arrives on Monday! This block card features our Valentine Washi Tape which I used on the background of all four blocks, and White Pearl Bling Strip that I used to embellish the heart. Another fun and easy card! AND our Valentine washi tape is on sale!

I cut the card base, layering panels, and blocks and layers from red, gray, white and three shades of pink cardstock. I covered the white blocks with four different patterns from the Valentine Washi Tape, and added the layers. I assembled the card and added White Pearl Bling Strip around the edge of the heart.

I cut the inside panels from gray and light pink cardstock along with a panel cut from white cardstock which I embellished with more of the Valentine washi tape, and stamped the sentiment in pink ink.

Thanks so much for stopping by today - we'll see you next time!

Heartfelt Thanks

What better way to express heartfelt thanks than with actual felt hearts?!  I just love creating felt projects with my Cricut Maker and rotary blade and today I'm bringing you a little thank you card.  The felt hearts and flower are so beautifully accentuated by one of Eyelet Outlet's many floral washi tapes.

For a touch more dimension and interest, I've used one of our leaf brads and a round blue brad with my flower.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day.

Live Laugh Woof!

It's Janet here with a friendship card celebrating man's best friend. This card was made with several fun products from the store

This is a gatefold card, meaning that a flap folds from the left side and the right so that they meet in the middle of the card front. I made a matching panel to put on top. Only the left side is glued to the left flap so that it opens with ease.

Once the card base was constructed, I placed a border of Dog Washi Tape across the top and the bottom of the flaps. Before I glued the center patterned cardstock on to the brown mat, I applied the Live and Woof stickers. I cut the O out of the Love sticker and used a Paw brad instead. I added the dog house from the Kennel Mix brad set and the tallest of the dogs from the Puppy brad set. The cool thing about this set is that it matches the dog washi tape so well! The final touch was Gold Glitter Enamel Dots.

Once completed, I glued the center panel on the brown mat. This way the back side with the brad's prongs are covered with cardstock. Then I glued the left side of the finished center panel to the left flap. This is a quick way to utilize stickers to make a quick but cute card. I picked up the sticker set at the Dollar Tree so it was inexpensive as well as perfect for this card.

SHOPPING LIST:

Thanks for stopping by today. Check out the store for all their dog and cat themed brads. There are many more than I used today and there's sure to be something you can't live without!

Happy Creating Everyone!

Valentine's Day Flower Power!

Hey everybody! I hope you've had a great week! Leslie here, sharing a groovy love card for Valentine's Day that really reveals the hippie in me! This is what you call Flower Power! This super fun card features our White Daisy Brads, Color Daisy Brads and Pink Enamel Hearts. I dry embossed each letter with a different embossing folder which adds such fun texture!

I cut all the pieces from various pinks, green and white cardstock and assembled the letters. I added a White Daisy Brad and several Color Daisy Brads to the letters, and a Pink Enamel Heart to the layered heart in the center of the large flower, and then adhered them to the card base. I stamped the sentiment in pink ink, trimmed it, and adhered it to the bottom right of the card front.

I cut the inside panels from pink and white cardstock, and rounded the corners. I stamped the sentiment in the same pink ink, and added a die cut heart from my embellishment bowl that was left over from another project.

Thanks so much for stopping by today - we'll see you next time!

Bargello Technique

There are many techniques that you may use in you paper crafting projects.
One is called Bargello.  Traditionally, you cut patterned papers in to strips. Adhere the strips to a piece of paper. Turn the paper 180 degrees, and then cut more strips. These new strips, cut against the grain of the original strips, are adhered to paper again, but in a slightly different position.

Here I used washi tape, instead of the traditional strips.  It makes the first step cleaner and easier!
If you know Eyelet Outlet, you know we have a great selection of washi tape.
What other techniques do you use in your paper crafting?

Hope you are safe and warm in this winter weather!

We Go Together Like Pretzels & Beer

It's a snowy day here in Central Texas and a lovey day for crafting!  I know my hubby is going to love this Valentine I made for him!

The pretzels and bowl are images I put together from Cricut Design Space and the pretzel paper is from a digital paper set called, "Oktober Fest" by DGexpress.  I added a couple of strips of skinny green washi on either side of the beer washi tape and the awesome coordinating beer brad pulled it all together. And I can't call it finished without a few enamel hearts!

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the day!
