Happy Easter, Everybunny

Even if you have LOTS of patterned paper... (and I, Lauren, do!) ...sometimes you still don't have exactly what you want for a particular card. In this case, I wanted a text paper that said "Happy Easter" so I typed it myself! It's the perfect home for my Eyelet Outlet Rabbit Brads, whom I've given a little landscape to inhabit, by adding a Sun and Cloud Brad and a Mini Butterfly, as well as some punched grass and an oversized diecut tulip to frame up the whole thing.

This week I wish you a Happy Passover or Happy Easter, if you are celebrating; or just an extra nice second week of Spring!

would definitely enjoy
a chocolate bunny right now!

Sending smiles across the miles

Hello, Eyelet Outlet fans! I hope you've had a great week! Leslie here sharing an adorable 'missing you' card that sure reminded me of growing up in a rural area and being the only vehicle on the road sometimes for miles and miles! This card features an assortment of very cool washi tape and brads!

I created a standard A2 size top-folding landscape card base from Neenah Solar White and then cut a panel on which I built my washi tape scene. I applied a strip of Sky Washi Tape - Wide first, then worked my way up from the bottom with two strips of Grass Washi Tape and a strip of Road Washi Tape. I added the little Red Truck Brad and the Summer Tree Brads. The final step was stamping the birds and sentiment in black ink.

I embellished the inside panel with a strip of the Grass Washi Tape, stamped the sentiment in black ink and layered the panel on green cardstock.

Thanks so much for stopping by today - we'll see you next time!

Like You a Latte

I (Lauren) never get tired of making coffee cards, especially when I can use my Eyelet Outlet Coffee BradsHeart BradsSequins and Paper Flowers

This card is extra special because I used a STAMPlorations set called A Cuppa Love* designed by my amazing friend Becca... aka the Damsel of Distressed Cards... and a stencil called Dots 'n Beans; both of which I was lucky enough to win in last fall's Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog Hop. So it seemed only fitting to use them in the Spring/Summer Hop, which is taking place right now!

I tried literally all of my brown and tan Oxide colors with the Dots 'n Beans stencil, and every single one looked awesome. But I wanted a slightly lighter, brighter, Spring vibe, and eventually I had a brainwave to try Spun Sugar. Weirdly enough, that was The One, lol! I stamped the sentiment in (appropriately enough) Ground Espresso, colored the mug with Tombows, cut it out and added a Heart Brad. I was happy with my cluster of mug, Paper Flower (with Coffee Bean Brad center!) and sentiment, but somehow it needed just one more thing. I'm not saying the answer to, "What does this card need?" is *ALWAYS* Eyelet Outlet Sequins, but that does turn out to be true a fair amount of the time, and they did the trick here!

I Miss You PIG Time!

Hello friends. On today's card, I am featuring the ever-so-cute pigs from the Pig and Sheep brad set. These little pigs are so detailed. I'm always amazed how much detail can be packed into a brad like this and both the pigs and the sheep don't disappoint.

I kept this simple and used a purchased patterned A2 card base. I layered a piece of paper lace with a strip of Skinny Glitter Washi Tape. On top of that I placed a lacy die cut glitter heart. I heat embossed the sentiment in black and cut it using a lacy circle die. I glued the heart and circle in place on the top of the lace border and then added my pigs, heart enamel brad and pearl bling. Uber adorable!

Thanks for joining me today. I'll see you next week!

Keep on Trucking in Chicken Lingo!

Hello, Eyelet Outlet fans! I hope you've had a great week! Leslie here sharing a fun friendship card pecked out in chicken lingo, lol! I paired some favorite brads and bling with an all-time favorite stamp set, and had a great time putting this CAS design together. This simple design would be easy to mass produce to create a set to give as a gift!

I cut an ivory A2 size top-folding card base and rounded the bottom right corner to add some interest. I printed some digital chicken wire on ivory cardstock and trimmed the panel with the wire at the bottom. I added a strip of yellow cardstock to separate the wire from the white space. I stamped the sentiment in black ink, added three Chicken Brads and layered the panel on yellow cardstock. I adhered the piece to the card base and added some White Pearl Bling to the yellow strip along with a few tiny pearls from a White Pearl Bling Strip to the background. I colored the bling with an alcohol marker to match the chickens.

Thanks so much for stopping by - we'll see you next time!

G Through L

Would this be a good time to show of the next five pages (and six letters!) of the Eyelet Outlet Alphabetical Brad Book? Oh and I (Lauren) have made a cover for it too, but more about that in a minute. Meanwhile, here's Part Two:

As with the first set, these pages are ATC-sized (2.5 x 3.5") and built on top of an older, incomplete deck of playing cards to which I've added not-quite-solid patterned papers in a variety of colors. The brads representing the letter G are: Graduation Hat, a Giraffe from the Jungle Mix, a flying Gull from our Seagull Brads, all three varieties of Grape and a glass of red from our Wine Brads, and a Gnome, who is on sale!

The letter H consists of: Headphones from the Computer and Headphones set, Hair Style items from our Brush and Hair Dryer Brads, Hand Sanitizer from our Co-Vid themed Mask, Hand Sanitizer and Soap set, wood Hanger Brads, and a Handbag from the Shoe and Purse set.

From the start, I knew I'd have to double up a few letters, because there just are not nearly as many I and J styles as there are in more frequently used letters like H, M and S. Throughout the project, I've taken a few liberties with names to get a better mix; so I've made sure to use the exact titles and place direct links to make each brad style easy to find in the EO Store

The letter I features: Ice Cream, Italy in the form of Colosseum and Pisa Brads (which are on sale!) and an i-Phone from the Selfie set. Representing J we've got: a Java aka Coffee Brad, Jeans from the Jeans and Tee Shirt set and a Sneaker Brad I've re-named as Jogging.

On to the letter K: Kris Kringle is part of the Santa and Mrs. Claus power couple, Knitting Brads are one of my all-time faves (and they're on sale!), our Kitten Brads packs have three shapes and are divided into half white and half black, but I tend to save the latter for Halloween; Mr. Koala comes from the Sloth and Koala set and Kitchenware is a bit of a cheat, since I combined items from the Cooking Brads and Baking Brads sets.

Representing the letter L: Lights technically called Holiday Lights, a Lion from the second Jungle Mix, called Lion Tiger and Zebra Brads, Lobsters from the Crab and Lobster set, a Lure from the Fishing Lure Brads, and Lightning from our Wizard Hat and Lightning Bolt Brads.

One of my favorite things about any minibook project is making the cover. I used a similar set of leatherette alphabet stickers, but in lower case, which are a bit smaller (and I was out of uppercase B's!) Since I wanted the typed title to stand out, I didn't label each brad, but I did manage to work in nine styles, which are: Antler Brads (I adore these and they're on sale), an Apple and an AntBook Brads, a Butterfly Profile (sadly out of print, but we have regular Butterfly Brads) and a Broom from the Vacuum and Broom set; A Classic Car, a Cupcake (which is on sale) and a Candy Corn Brad.

We're only halfway through the alphabet, so I'll be back in the next few weeks with the letters M through Z; meanwhile, whatever letter you need a brad for, I can assure you we have one at Eyelet Outlet

PS: If you'd like to see the letters A through F,
you can find them in this post!

is really loving this project!

I Like the Way You Roll!

Today I have a fun card that plays on the toilet paper theme again. I don't know why but I can't get enough of these adorable toilet paper rolls with the cute little quilting in them. They're just so cute!

This card starts with a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of white cardstock. I applied EO's Flower Washi Tape - Wide at an angle and folded over the tape overhange on the back of the cardstock. Then I applied strips of skinny washi  to hide the seams from the Skinny Heart Washi set. This comes in several colors in a set from the store. It is pretty and delicate with foil hearts and scrolling. Then I coated the chipboard letters with chalk paint and applied them on top of the panel leaving room at the top for the black heat embossed sentiment. I applied a short piece of Jewel Bling Strip in pink next to the sentiment and set the two Toilet Paper Brads. I matted the panel on black cardstock and then applied the whole panel on a pink A2 sized cardbase.

This card may be about toilet paper but the large photo-real flowers are a nice change of pace as we start dreaming about spring. I just felt so good working with this tape! And bonus! This one goes together fast.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Time for some Spring pastels!

Hello, Eyelet Outlet fans! I hope you've had a great week! Leslie here sharing a pretty friendship card with a Spring theme! I thought we'd deviate from COVID for a minute and create something a little different. I am totally in love with these flowers that I embellished with clear bling and I couldn't wait to use them!

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base along with a strip from white cardstock. I layered the strip on a piece of green cardstock and adhered three negative-space circles layered on pink cardstock that were leftovers from a project I created several months ago. These circles were so pretty I couldn't throw them away, so I left them out on my desk until I found a use for them. And voila, here we are! ;) I adhered an Epoxy Flower to the center of each circle and then a Clear Jewel to the center of each flower. I stamped the sentiment in purple ink in the lower right corner to finish the card front.

For the inside, I cut a narrow strip of white cardstock and layered it on another piece of green cardstock, then added a strip of Purple Check Washi Strip. I adhered the layered strip to the left side of the inside panel, stamped the sentiment in purple ink, and layered the panel on green cardstock.

Thanks so much for stopping by - we'll see you next time!

Wonderful Idea for Washi Tape!!

Check out this fun idea on how to use Washi Tape on your greeting cards.

Start with a simple card base...and add your washi.
I used a metal ruler to "cut" the edges cleanly when the washi was already laid on the card base.

Then, I added fun stickers for the image and sentiment.

But you know that background is the highlight of the card!

Head on over to Eyelet Outlet and fill up that cart with your own choice of tapes!!

We also have subcategories:

CARDiologist

I had made this card several months ago, before Eyelet Outlet introduced the face mask brads.  It was in my stash and I had forgotten all about it until last week when I was in need of a get well card for my wonderful husband who was in the hospital for a couple of days.  As soon as I saw it, I knew I needed to add the face mask brad to it and I'm glad to report that my hubby is doing much better now!  Was it the visit from the "CARDiologist" or the antibiotics?  I'll let you decide!

An EGG-cellent Easter

Easter cards are an excellent place for puns! If you go with someBUNNY, anyBUNNY or everyBUNNY you can bring in Rabbit Brads or Pastel Rabbits. On the other hand, if you switch over to Chick Brads and bring in Colored Eggs (or ordinary Egg Brads, for that matter) that gets you even more EGG-citing, EGG-stra special, EGG-cellence, like this card! To make it into a little landscape, I've added a Sun and Cloud Brad as well as some Mini Stitched Flowers, tucked behind layers of punched grass.

For an even faster background, you can always grab Easter Egg Tape, Egg Washi, or one of our Rabbit Washi or Bunny Tape varieties in the Eyelet Outlet Store!

can never resist a pun!

29 AGAIN?!

As I get older, birthdays become a little more of a sore subject. For years I used the line that I was 29 again when someone asked my age. This shaker card makes fun of those of us who want to celebrate our birthdays but don't really want to get into the details of the exact number. I'm not quite as old as this young lady but some days I sorta feel this old!

This was a fun project. As usual, the Eyelet Outlet products take it up a notch. You can find all the details on how to make this on my personal blog.

Yep, let's stay classy through this!

Hello, Eyelet Outlet fans! I hope you've had a great week! Leslie here sharing one final clean and simple card created with the new quarantine-inspired brads in the store along with some glitter washi tape, fancy long bling and pearls to appeal to your classy, glitzy feminine side! This is the last card in my series of CAS cards paying tribute to our frontline healthcare workers. This one is somewhat light-hearted with computer-generated front and inside sentiments, and a stamped addition to the sentiment on the front. ;)

I created a standard A2 size top-folding card base from black cardstock.
The computer-generated front and inside sentiments were printed on white cardstock and the panels trimmed. I stamped 'stay classy' in black ink at an angle above the front sentiment. I added a strip of Gold Glitter Skinny Washi Tape and Pink Fancy Long Bling-Pearls and Jewels vertically down the left side, added two Toilet Paper Brads just to the left of the sentiment, and adhered the panel to the card base. The finishing touch was the addition of several single pearls from a White Pearl Bling Strip.

I embellished the inside panel with a single strip of the
Gold Glitter Skinny Washi Tape and adhered it to the inside of the card base.

Thanks so much for stopping by today - we'll see you next time!
