Creating your own embellishments with brads

Today we are sharing a quick tutorial using some of our pearl brads to create your own embellishment for cards or layouts but you can also use our rhinestone brads or your favorite design as well. With so many die cutting tools and punches it's really easy to make your own coordinating embellishments from paper. So let's get started
Step One:
Grab the 1" medium lever flower punch from Fiskers and a few of our 12 mm Pearl Brads. I picked this one up @ 40% off at Joann’s.

Step 2: Grab your favorite pattern paper and punch 5 flowers.

Step 3: Use a pencil to shape the flowers by placed the eraser head in the center of the flower and pinching it around the head of the pencil.

Step 4 : Layer the flowers one on top of each other and use a paper piercer to poke a hole thru all 5 for the brad to fasten thru.

Step 5 : Fasten your brad thru the hole and create as many more of these sweet flowers like you'll like to use on your project.

Now use your embellishments to create a fun card like this one below.

Cardstock: Bazzill Basics; Patterned paper: The Girl's Paperie; Ribbon: Celebrate It! Whimsey Cottage; Punches: Fiskers medium flower punch, Martha Stewart leaf punch; Die Cuts: Spellbinders Lacey Circles die; Cricut Elegant Edges Cartridge from Provo Craft. Stamped Image: Unity Stamp Co.

We hope you will try this technique and use our brads for your flower centers! Be sure and share them with us on our Facebook page. We love to see what you are creating!
