Bird Brads of a Feather, Flock Together

In this case our Eyelet Outlet Tropical Bird Brads are flocking together on a Happy Bird-Day card and tag, atop backgrounds of Sky Washi and Cloud Tape, respectively; there's a border of fun and funky Giraffe Tape on the card and the vintage birdcages have been diecut from EO Wide Wood Washi. On the tag, the cage is cut from Glitter Gold Washi and there's a Cloud Brad and a Mini Bee to keep the cute toucan company.

If Tropical Birds aren't your favorite, check out lots of other Feathered Friends in the EO Store, including Owls both colorful and realistic, Eagles, Seagulls, Bluebirds & Robins, lots of Cardinals as well as colorful Flying Birds and Mini Birds. (PS: There are plenty of Bird Tape Styles, too!)

Party Time

Today's card entitled "Party Time" is a versatile card that is full of whimsy.

This card is fun and it can be used for a party invitation or any celebration event.  Put on the records, bring the wireless headphones, and the sheep are having their own kind of party!  Who wouldn't love some dancing sheep---even the bird wants to get in on it!

Brads of a Feather...

...Flock together! Eyelet Outlet Bird Brads, that is! There are Bluebird and Robin Brads (which come in the same packet) and two styles of very handsome Cardinal and Cardinal Profile Brads! Please don't ask me (Lauren) to choose a favorite, because that would be impossible!

I haven't made Artist Trading Cards or, in this particular case, Artist Trading Coins... in a while, but suddenly I was in the mood, so that's what I made. What are "Artist Trading" items? As the name implies, they're intended to be small handmade items for crafters and artists to trade via the mail, at conventions and meetups. Generally, an artist will make a series of similar ones at a sitting, in order to swap with several people at the same time. Artist Trading Cards are the size of a playing card (2.5 x 3.5") and Coins are 2.5" circles. The etiquette of this artform demands that they never be sold, only traded; though you can also find something called ACEO (Art Card Originals and Editions) which are essentially the same format, but intended for sale.

This trio of Artist Trading Coins feature our various bird brads, with stamped backgrounds of nests and foliage on some lovely, slightly yellowed, book paper. The Robin and Bluebird each stands proudly in front of a nest. Surrounding it, there are some tiny paper leaves, which I made by cutting apart the smallest size of EO green Paper Flowers.

The Cardinal and Cardinal Profile are perched in some branches, to which I've added more paper leaves and some tiny berries snipped from the edge of a Bling Swirl. Each ATC has a Dymo Label sentiment, from which I trimmed away the excess tape, so that the scale fit my design better.

Whether you've made Artist Trading Coins before OR you've always wanted to try, wouldn't this be a great time to make some and surprise your crafty pals with Happy Mail? And I bet for any subject or idea you can dream up, there's an Eyelet Outlet Brad that will make your design even better! ♥

 a few details:

I adore combo of kraft, white, red and gold - think it's a classic colors for any festive project ))))) Here I also used my favourite tip - add gold washi tape on the cardstock and then used star die. Looks like gold cardstock but cheaper and you always can make any accent you need with this technique ))))
Here is the full list of products:

6MM Jewel Brads - Silver Edge - Green
12mm Jewel Bling - Clear Edge
Foil Washi Tape - Gold

Design Team Wednesday with Susie

Hello Eyelet Outlet Fans!
Susie here with a few new cards to share with you.

Have you fallen in love with the combination of Washi tape and brads yet? Oh my, once you do....you will be addicted like I am.  I found some super bright Washi tape in my stash and added the strips to my card front along with my typed sentiment.  Then I added the Building  Block brads that are in the Eyelet Outlet store. Click right here to see them.   Who wouldn't enjoy getting this card?

Now for card #2

While I had my Washi tape container out, I decided to do another card.  I typed my sentiment first and then added all the Washi tape strips.  My final touches were the birds and bling.  Be sure to check out these cute birds here and the bling here.

I hope you like today's cards.

I welcome you anytime at The Dies Have It.
