Where do card ideas come from? EVERYWHERE! In this case, a fun meme from social media became a card featuring adorable Eyelet Outlet Unicorn and Rainbow Brads, set against a frame of Pink Foil Tape and a background made by neatly lining up strips of Multi Color Dot Washi on the diagonal.
The sentiment is rendered in a free font called Jolly Dream from dafont.com, printed on plain old white cardstock... (with sufficient space left for unicorns, of course) ...then augmented with the brads. If you can dream up a card idea, the Eyelet Outlet Store almost certainly has the brads and tapes to make it work!
It's la Dia de lost Muertos, or the Day of the Dead, on which we remember and pay homage to those who have departed before us. One of the best ways is to, "Viva la Vida!" or celebrate life. I (Lauren) think it's possible that whoever said, "Good things come in small packages" may very well have been thinking about Eyelet Outlet Tropical Bird Brads! These colorful feathered friends are exactly the right size for Penny Black's Vintage Birdcage Dies, which I diecut from our Pink Foil Tape backed with a scrap of plain white cardstock. A punny diecut sentiment, a few fronds of foliage with Colored Daisy and Green Leaf Brad accents, as well as a Flower Washi mat complete the design.
Hello, Eyelet Outlet fans! I hope you've had a great week! Leslie here, sharing a fun friendship/thank you card featuring our Grape Brads, Purple Foil Washi Tape, Pink Foil Washi Tape and Green Jewel Bling! I'm such a sucker for pun-y sentiments and this one rates right up there, lol!
I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from white cardstock along with a layering panel from dark purple cardstock, rounded all four corners, and adhered the purple panel to the card base. Using a mini cover plate die, I cut panels from lime green and white cardstock, placed strips of Purple Foil Washi Tape alternating with strips of Pink Foil Washi Tape on the green panel so they'll show through the dashed apertures, and then adhered the white panel on top. I added several Grape Brads and adhered the piece to the card front. I added the sentiment and Green Jewel Bling to complete the front of the card.
