Retro Day

In honor of National Retro Day tomorrow, I thought I'd celebrate a couple of our awesome retro themed brads. First up, our old fashion telephone!

I've had this telephone themed patterned scrap paper in my stash for quite some time and today was the day to use it. The retro looking woman talking on the phone is from the Cricut image library and using print then cut, I created two circles and added a couple of our telephone brads. This was a quick and simple card, perfect for catching up with an old friend.

Next up, our classic antique typewriter brad is taking center-stage on an antique desk. I printed off a little love note message to tuck in behind the typewriter. I also added a vase of flowers to the desk using our mini stitched fall flowers. and as I often do, I topped this project off with an enamel heart in black.

Since I'm old enough to have talked on a phone like this and I learned to type on a typewriter similar to this one, does that make me retro?

You Are My Type!

You are my type! I couldn't resist playing with the typewriter washi tape and typewriter brads to create a fun Valentine's Day card!

After stamping my typewriter and using an exacto knife to cut a place for my "typed" message, I adhered it to cardstock lined with typewriter washi tape. I embellished with heart enamels and brads. Lastly, I layered on cardstock lined with red stripe washi! I hope you take some time this Valentine season to create handmade cards to show love and appreciation!

Note To Self!

As the Autumn season begins, I want to focus on thankfulness.

I love combining like-colored washi tapes and that was my inspiration for this card. I created my background using the typewriter washi, be thankful washi, and sparkle light brown glitter washi. I added my "note to self" stamp in a row as well. Lastly, I created my centerpiece by stamping and coloring the easel, then adding my "be thankful" message along with the cute brads from the hand and typewriter collection.

I hope you enjoy! This would be a delightful card to send to anyone you are thankful for! And I am thankful for you! Thanks so much for stopping by! Don't forget to shop at Eyelet Outlet for your crafting needs!

You Are Here

I'm all set for my brother's birthday with this card! I don't think I need to worry about him seeing here on the Eyelet Outlet Blog before his birthday, because he's too busy cutting, splitting, and stacking firewood to follow along with us!

I love this Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Pack from Stampin' Up.  It's two sided paper and has several different styles in the pack.

I used the Hand Brad from the Typewriter & Hand Brad Set to point to my brother's age on the tree's rings!  😉  Carrying my tree theme further, I added some Eyelet Outlet Tree Brads.  We have several styles.  The 3 on the right are from the Summer Tree Brad Set and the one on the left is one of the Pine Tree Brads.

Let's do a little "Throw Back Thursday," today, shall we?  The Typewriter & Hand Brad Set includes an amazing little vintage typewriter that I just love!  Here's a retirement card I made several years ago using that typewriter as well as the vintage telephone brad.

Thanks for stopping by today, and if you run into my brother, please don't tell him about his birthday card!
