Happy Father's Day

It's soon Father's Day so I decided to get a few weeks ahead and get a card done for my husband. Masculine cards can be a little challenging but with EO products, it's easy breezy!

This card features Mustache, Eyeglass, and Star Brads. Black Glitter Enamel Dots help to balance the other elements. I placed them on the card but also on the vellum sentiment. The layered look is a nice effect.

Thanks for stopping by today. Please make a visit to the Eyelet Outlet store to stock up on your brads, bling, washi tape, and paper flowers. Check out the clearance brads while you're there. You'll find some great deals on a HUGE variety of EO favorites

Happy Creating!

Trick or Treat

It's almost time to Trick or Treat and these adorable critters are ready to go! Any set of adorable characters can be dressed up for Halloween, Christmas or a birthday party with a few Eyelet Outlet brad styles. The mummy bear has donned a Mustache Brad; the unicorn kitty is sporting a Tiara and Eye Glass Brads; the dashing dachshund has his Top Hat on and has invited a Long Dog friend to accompany him. Some Black Cat Brads obviously wanted to join the party and it would hardly be a spooky occasion without Bat and Pumpkin Brads. Thee handsome Frog Brad is wearing a Witch's Hat... or possibly... a powerful witch has been temporarily turned into a frog? Either way, this Boo Crew is definitely going to collect lots of candy and maybe win some prizes at the costume party! A mat of Spider Washi Tape is the perfect finishing touch to any creepy, kooky card.

Trick or Treat Shopping List:

All the brads, tapes, enamels and embellishments you need for Halloween and beyond are in the Eyelet Outlet Store; and there are still a couple of Trade Shows left on the Schedule... is your town on the list?

would not say no to a fun-sized candy bar right now!

A Simple Time

This week's card takes us back in time. It takes us to a time that was much simpler when there were no cell phones, no computers and if you wanted to get something done you needed to use good old fashioned elbow grease.

I created this card using multiple steampunk/old fashioned type washi tape cut in squares for the background. If you look closely, one of the squares is the pre embossed faux leather Eyelet Outlet offers at their shows.

Attached to the base are three tags, each bejeweled and embellished with multiple old fashioned type brads and bling. The card is finished off with multiple large, stippled jewels and several different chip board sentiments.

This is a fun card that will be sure to brighten anyone’s day and bring them back to a simpler time.

Have a wonderful week and always be STRATE-UP CRAFTY!

I Just Wet My Plants!

Hello everyone. It's Sunday and that means it's my turn to bring you a card to inspire you as you begin the new week. Here in the Carolinas, spring has definitely made itself at home. The sun is out, the air is warmer and the pollen is out! Too bad about the pollen. I sneezed today 9 times in a row! It's a new record and not a good sign for the weeks ahead. It's the price you pay for being in a place with so many trees and bushes.

Since I was thinking of spring, I figured I'd whip up a little gardening inspiration. I don't garden anymore but it's fun to reminisce. On this card I used a Darice embossing folder to create a mason jar background. I colored and cut the man and woman gardener and added a few brads. Can you spot them? The Mustache Brad fits this fella just perfectly. So cute right? The lady is holding two of the Garden Tools Brads. In the sky we have a Funky Bee Brad and a Butterfly Brad. And as the card says, I got so excited I wet my plants! Ha ha!

SHOPPING LIST:
Funky Bee Brads
Butterfly Brads
Garden Tools Brads
Mustache Brads

Thanks for stopping by today. Please visit the store for all your gardening and spring brads, washi tape, bling and paper flowers!

Happy Creating Everyone!

Trick or Treat

There are few things more adorable, in my (Lauren's) opinion, than tiny children dressed up for Halloween; unless it's tiny MONSTAS wearing Eyelet Outlet Brads as part of their disguise!

The Yeti, Dragon and Unicorn from Taylored Expressions' Mythical Grumplings stamp set are seemingly already at the top end of cuteness, but then I decided to give them (from left to right) a Witch Hat and Wand from the Wizard Set; a Men's Hat and Mustache; and Groucho Eye Glasses. A Pumpkin Brad and a Frog complete the scene, which turned into the world's fastest shaker card thanks to a set of nested oval dies and some EO Star and Pumpkin Sequins.

loves all holidays that feature candy!

Watch Out For Hidden Sugars...

...although if the sugars in question are adorable kawaii ice cream cones and they're disguised with a variety of Eyelet Outlet Brads, you might decide to make an exception, lol!

This is not the first or last time that I (Lauren) have paired Lawn Fawn character stamps with EO Brads. They're the perfect size and scale, plus... I love that the brads add texture to the stamping, but are still flat and mail-able. My card has five ice cream cones of various flavors; and the disguises, from left to right, are: Straw Hat Brads (on special for .99c); Sunglass Brads, Cherry, (on special for $1.29); Colorful Sunglass Brads; and finally, I could not resist a Mustache Brad (on special for $1.09). I used Cloud Tape to make the small window which holds the cones, and a slimline-sized background of Banana Tape.

There were so many additional brad choices in just the Hats and Glasses section of the EO Store that I'm fairly sure I'll be remaking versions of this card over and over!

is a big fan of brads, washi tape,
and (...especially...) ice cream!

You're Fantaschtic!

Hi Friends! kel here again today to share another fun project with you!! Happy April Fools, but I'm sorry I don't have any tricks to play today!! Instead, I played with a punny card!!

This mustache brad was just SO MUCH FUN to play with. I absolutely love these punny sentiments combined with these adorable brads!!

To make my card, I stamped all over the background with a different mustache style in a lighter grey color and paired it with a turquoise-y ink and background paper because I wanted that black mustache brad to stand out, and it definitely makes the card pop!!

Thanks for stopping by today and see you again soon!!

lovies, =o) kel

The Cutest Trick-or-Treaters on the Block!

Here's a shocking true confession: Until recently, I (Lauren) have not made Halloween cards every year. I think it was just because I didn't ever seem to have the right ingredients; by which I mean a selection of Eyelet Outlet Halloween Brads. Because now that I do, I ♥LOVE♥ making Halloween cards, and this one might be my favorite so far:

When I was lucky enough to win my choice of Pretty Pink Posh stamp sets (via the Summer Blog Hop at Coffee Loving Cardmakers) I chose Holiday Pals because I knew they'd look adorable dressed up for Christmas with Eyelet Outlet Antler Brads and Elf Hats. But when I was looking through my Halloween stash, I realized they'd be equally adorable dressed up to Trick-or-Treat! From left to right I've given them: Witch Hats, Small Eyes, Mustache Brads, Witch Legs, Men's Hats and Eye Glass Brads.

My top tip for adding brads to small fussy-cut creatures is to add the brads BEFORE you cut the critters out; that way you can use the hidden bits of cardstock as extra support! For example, I cut around these guys' HATS, rather than just their heads. I also suggest turning the brads a bit, if necessary, to hide them better behind the critters. However, if necessary, you can trim the brad legs with sturdy craft scissors. If bits of the brads can be seen through-- as in the case of the Eye Glass Brad on the Bulldog and the Mustache Brad on the Bunny-- use a pen that coordinates with your background to color the part that can be seen, so that you do not have to trim INSIDE the image to make it fit! In the case of the awesome Witch Leg Brads, they were just slightly too long for Miss Kitty, so I trimmed them with my sturdy craft scissors, and attached them to the front of the cat with gluedots.

All that was left to do is build a scene for the sweet Trick-or-Treaters to inhabit. I used patterned paper for the sky and the moon, Wide Brick Washi for the wall, Glitter Black Tape for the pavement, then filled in with Pumpkins, Kittens and Bat Brads to add a little more seasonal color!

would happily give out pet-safe goodies,
if cute bunnies, cats and dogs came trick-or-treating to her house!

Wet Your Whiskers!

How many of you are avid football fans, ready for the BIG game tomorrow?!  We're much more into college football than pro, although we will definitely watch the game, as much for the commercials as for the football!

We usually keep our game day menu very simple...hot wings with lots of extra hot sauce, beer (hard cider for us gluten-free folks, and water too),  pretzels, a veggie platter and some cookies.

I've had these mustache brads in my stash for a while and have been contemplating what I wanted to use them for.  Aren't they cute?!  I love that the package comes with regular and "handlebar" mustaches!  (My friend, Cres, has a big red handlebar mustache!)

I decided to make a few game day bottle neck tags printed with an Old West, Texas saloon-style font and accented with skinny ribbon "bow ties."  I kept them super simple (when you're making multiples, less is more, right?!), left them short so the bottle labels aren't covered and so they won't get wet and soggy when the bottles are partially submerged in ice.

These are just a little something fun for the game without the complication of team colors and all that!  They'd also make cute birthday, bachelor party or wedding favors.  With all of our cute embellishments, it would be easy to change 'em up to fit a theme for the girls, too.

Enjoy the game!  I'm hoping for some great commercials and a close score!  For once I don't really care that much who wins!

Love Donuts!

Hi everyone!!

Noe here to show a new inspiration project using fantastic EO products ... They are so fun to incorporate in my cards !!

Do you love  donuts as much as I? I like all the flavors and all colors!! Really love them!! So, this card is dedicated to them, hahaha ;) Hope you like it!!

Very easy to make!! For the background I used pan pastels to give color to my white cardstock and then, over it, I stamped my "donuts stamp" and differents toppings, some red hearts and finally I used "#Mmmmmmm" phrases to make a frame for my card.
The fun touch is bringed by different brads that have been incorporated...
