Summer Picnic Basket

It's summer and that means it's time for picnics. My card today features a fun picnic basket decorated with EO brads and washi tapes. 

The bow of this beauty was made with paper covered with Red/White Dot Washi Tape. The basket liner is made of Heart Washi Tape.

The basket is constructed with a stamp and die set. Once I put it all together, I added BBQ Brads, putting a grill on each side of the sentiment. I added two Mini Ant Brads and a red hot pad from the Cooking Brads. 

The top of the basket is embellished with a pull made of the Red/White Dot Washi Tape. A  6 mm red jewel brad secures it to the basket top. It adds just a bit of sparkle!

No Time Like the Presents

 I (Lauren) only buy plain, undecorated, giftbags at the big box store. Because I know I can make them unique and fancy with my Eyelet Outlet Goodies! I made this set for my mom's birthday. She loves backyard birdwatching, her beautiful garden, and she's very fond of bling!

I added strips of Bird Tape alternating with Peonies Shimmer Tape, Bird and Flower Tape, accented with Skinny Pink Glitter Tape. I ran each strip neatly around to the side and tucked it into the fold; although a nice thing about rolls of washi tape is that you can actually run your tape all the way around the bag and make a continuous design. (It's still a good idea to start and end in the side fold, however!) I added white Paper Flowers with Pearl Brad and Jewel Brad centers and snipped apart some green Paper Flowers to serve as leaves. Finally I scattered a few hot pink Sequins around for extra sparkle.

If you're going to make a giftbag as fancy as this, you really need to go all the way and make a matching card, right? I used all of the same tapes and embellies as on the bag; just simplified them a bit to fit a smaller, 6" square shape. I did add a sweet bird from our Bluebird and Robin set to the center of my flower stack, too.

Summer Handbag

Hello, Eyelet Outlet fans! I hope you've had a great week! Leslie here sharing a fun summer handbag which is actually a gift holder! I absolutely love making these, and this one features washi tape, pearl bling and a paper flower with a jewel brad center! How fun would it be to tuck a gift card or cash in this for a summer birthday, beach wedding or anniversary gift?!

For the front and back of the purse base, I covered the cardstock with Funky Birds Washi Tape and die cut the pieces. I cut the remaining purse pieces from tweed cardstock and the rings from gold foil cardstock, and then assembled the purse handles. I assembled the purse base and added White Pearl Bling Strips across the washi tape seams on the front and back, then attached the handles and the other purse pieces. I attached the three Paper Flower layers with an Amber 6mm Jewel Brad w/Gold Edge and affixed the flower to the front of the purse.
