Live Laugh Woof!

It's Janet here with a friendship card celebrating man's best friend. This card was made with several fun products from the store.

This is a gatefold card, meaning that a flap folds from the left side and the right so that they meet in the middle of the card front. I made a matching panel to put on top. Only the left side is glued to the left flap so that it opens with ease.

Once the card base was constructed, I placed a border of Dog Washi Tape across the top and the bottom of the flaps. Before I glued the center patterned cardstock on to the brown mat, I applied the Live and Woof stickers. I cut the O out of the Love sticker and used a Paw brad instead. I added the dog house from the Kennel Mix brad set and the tallest of the dogs from the Puppy brad set. The cool thing about this set is that it matches the dog washi tape so well! The final touch was Gold Glitter Enamel Dots.

Once completed, I glued the center panel on the brown mat. This way the back side with the brad's prongs are covered with cardstock. Then I glued the left side of the finished center panel to the left flap. This is a quick way to utilize stickers to make a quick but cute card. I picked up the sticker set at the Dollar Tree so it was inexpensive as well as perfect for this card.

SHOPPING LIST:

Thanks for stopping by today. Check out the store for all their dog and cat themed brads. There are many more than I used today and there's sure to be something you can't live without!

Happy Creating Everyone!

That's Good Advice, Actually

One of my (Lauren's) favorite dog sayings is "Wag More, Bark Less" so when I saw our adorable new Eyelet Outlet Kennel Mix Brads, I knew exactly how I would use them!

I love lettering and fonts, so I tend to make quite a few cards that are basically glorified word art, lol; but they make people smile and are fun to create. I also have a hard time passing up a cute set of alphabet stickers, so that's what I've used here; but of course stamps or a computer generated sentiment would work equally well. When adding stamps or stickers one at a time, I highly recommend using a background with strong horizontal lines, like this text paper; it helps A LOT with positioning! In addition to a bowl, a dog house and three bones from the Kennel Mix, I've added four Paw Brads, a Long Dog (they're on clearance!) and a Heart Brad to fill in the space around the words.

As well as the Kennel Mix and Long Dogs, we have two styles of Paw Brads and one style of Paw Tape, Dog Silhouette Brads, cute Dog Faces and lots of fun Dog Washi Tape, too! Check them out in the Eyelet Outlet Store!

Dog Gone Good!

Hello EO fans! Today I'm here to show off the newest dog related brad set, Kennel Mix. This includes a dog bowl, super cute bone and a mini dog house. Just love this set as I have lots of dog related stamp sets and stickers I can use this set with.

Today, I tried my hand at water coloring a Boxer from a stamp set from Jessica Lynn Originals called Flynn's Puppies. I'm learning and trying new things and it's not the best painting job by any means but each time I use watercolor, I do a little bit better.

While I love to use enamel dots, I do find that in certain scenes and themes, the matt finish enamel brads are so good. I love shine more than most but sometimes matt is the way to go. These come in many colors but I often find black or white are my go to colors in the matt finish. They look good on so many things.
