It's Garden Time Somewhere!

It's definitely winter but as we start getting closer to Christmas, I can't help but start thinking ahead. This card will be given intentionally to a friend who has a January birthday. She told me once that she hated January as a birthday month because it was when all the holiday credit card payments were due and everything was gloomy and cold. Well, it's not going to be cold and gloomy on this card!

This is a mini-slimline card. It measures 3 1/2 x 6. It's one of my favorite card sizes. It's not too big and it's not too small but it's a unique size that you don't see sold in the mass market. I made this one by stamping some mini flower, butterfly, fence, and bee images on white cardstock. Then I colored them with Copic markers. I layered Gnome Washi Tape on white cardstock before cutting out the B.D.A.Y letters. I offset these adorable letters over offset black letters and put each on foam pads for really great dimension on the card.

To make this even more garden-like, I added several mini butterfly and mini bee brads. Finally, I added three gold glitter enamels to the top corner.

Lucky Me!

Just when you think they can't be outdone, Eyelet Outlet ups their "game" with Card Suit Brads! There are so many card ideas that can incorporate these.

For my first time out of the gate, I decided to create a large square card with an overhanging circle and a reference to lady luck. The cream image is a cut vinyl decal that I applied to black cardstock. Then I added the four Card Suit Brads, and decorated it further with clear and blue Stippled Jewel Brads and Gold Glitter Enamel Dots. It's a winner!

Turn On The Music!

One thing I like so much about Eyelet Outlet is that you can find brads to fit any theme. Case in point is today's music card which features Record Brads and Music Note Brads that tie in perfectly with the ephemera piece I chose to use.

To make my card, I also used two washi tapes. I used Flower Summer Washi for the outside border. The interior piece is made of strips of Green Pattern Washi Tape. The color of this washi tape happened to beautifully match the record album and also compliments the ephemera piece by adding a touch of femininity. I also made a white cardstock frame which I popped up on foam tape.

Once that was complete, I added two Record Brads and two Music Note Brads. The final touch is two green Glitter Enamel Dots. Perfection!

May the Luck O' the Irish Be Yours!

Hello everyone! I feel the start of spring and it gave me the inspiration to make a St. Patrick's card. I was inspired by a design posted by Jennifer Willert in Cricut Design Space. I used several EO products to make this design my own including brads and lots of bling!

To make this card, I cut the white panel using the pattern in Design Space. I cut the black pot and the background for the gold in the pot and three shamrocks out of scrap cardstock. Behind the lattice design I placed a panel I made using strips of Sparkle Gold Glitter Washi Tape.

For the pot, I added several Gold Glitter Enamel Dots and I put two Beer Brads on the front of it. After stamping the sentiment, I put a Rainbow Brad below it. Next I put a round Jewel Bling with a clear edge in the middle of two of the shamrocks. I inked up a White Paper Flower with green ink and put one of the completed shamrocks on top and put it in the top left corner of the white panel. I doubled up the other shamrock and put it in the right corner. Finally I added rows of colored Jewel Bling Strips to form a rainbow.

To finish this card, I matted the white panel on top of a green piece of cardstock and then placed the two layers on a white A2 card. There's a lot going on with this card but I think it turned out well and I know one of my Irish friends will enjoy receiving it.

Western Friendship Card

Today I'm sharing a card I had a lot of fun making. It sports a decidedly western and desert theme. The focus point includes EO's Cowboy Brads and Cactus Brads. Gold Glitter Enamel Dots go really well with the golden brown colors in the Cowboy Brads too.

The background of this card is made with strips of Cactus Washi Tape. Brown Jewel Strips-4mm size give this card a little bit of shine which plays off of the glitter enamel dots. It's a perfect card for a BFF who likes the western theme.

You're Hot!

Hello everyone. I'm here today to share a love card. Now, maybe two lizards don't strike you as the objects of love. I beg to differ! I've known several people who adore their pet lizards and other cold blooded creatures. They're not for me but I still like this theme as there is a twist of humor in it.

I used washi tape for the background instead of paper. I don't have a lot of desert themed paper but I had two washi tapes. With a bit of sky washi and some green skinny washi, a perfect background was born! This was a fun one to put it together.

Good Days Start With Coffee and You!

Hello everyone! I'm a HUGE coffee drinker. If my day doesn't start with a good cup of Joe, my day is not off to an ideal start by any measure. I know I'm not alone. Fortunately it's Eyelet Outlet to the rescue for all my coffee themed cards! EO has many products that are coffee related or coordinate nicely with the theme.

Washi Tape doesn't need to just be an afterthought. Here it's the star of the card, with several rolls combined together to make a great background. Adding coffee brads and coordinating enamel dots make the most of the kuokka stamp which is from Kat Scrappiness. Here's a complete list of products used for this card.

Elizabeth's Top 3 Favorites!

Today, as we close out 2022, I am sharing my top three favorite
projects that I made with Eyelet Outlet products.
The actual Eyelet Outlet materials used are listed at the end.

Santa Down the Chimney

This card I really liked with the Stanta hanging from the chimney. I could
not pass up the Santa Claus brads and boots. I also loved how the
poinsettias also fancied up the mantlepiece.

Holiday Tags

I loved these tags and could not believe how they worked up so nicely
with washi tape and the fancy Eyelet Outlet gems I used.
These tags really turned out festive and I made some extras
to attach to packages for special friends and hostess gifts.

I selected this card (which I adore) because of the cute pilgrim hats.
On my blog I received many comments especially about the
pilgrim hat brads.

Thanksgiving Pilgrim Mouse

I love this cute Pilgrim mouse from Song in my Heart. He is perfect with
the Pilgrim Brads from Eyelet Outlet. I knew when I saw those Pilgrim hats
I had to have them. I die cut the mouse and framed him out them added
small gold, and black enamel dots from Eyelet Outlet

Although my favorite medium is water color I colored the image
with Copic Markers. My project is made as a card but would also
be perfect if downsized for a place setting marker at Thanksgiving,

I hope you liked him -- I have some great Christmas ornaments
coming next week. Please check back on Monday!

Live Laugh Woof!

It's Janet here with a friendship card celebrating man's best friend. This card was made with several fun products from the store

This is a gatefold card, meaning that a flap folds from the left side and the right so that they meet in the middle of the card front. I made a matching panel to put on top. Only the left side is glued to the left flap so that it opens with ease.

Once the card base was constructed, I placed a border of Dog Washi Tape across the top and the bottom of the flaps. Before I glued the center patterned cardstock on to the brown mat, I applied the Live and Woof stickers. I cut the O out of the Love sticker and used a Paw brad instead. I added the dog house from the Kennel Mix brad set and the tallest of the dogs from the Puppy brad set. The cool thing about this set is that it matches the dog washi tape so well! The final touch was Gold Glitter Enamel Dots.

Once completed, I glued the center panel on the brown mat. This way the back side with the brad's prongs are covered with cardstock. Then I glued the left side of the finished center panel to the left flap. This is a quick way to utilize stickers to make a quick but cute card. I picked up the sticker set at the Dollar Tree so it was inexpensive as well as perfect for this card.

Make a Wish

If, by any chance, your wish was for beautiful, realistic Dragonfly Brads, it has been granted by Eyelet Outlet! I cannot tell a lie, I (Lauren) am in love with these, so you'll be seeing a lot of them!

Coincidentally, I had just purchased P13's Stitched With Love paper collection, which basically could have been made especially to go with our Dragonflies! I stamped my sentiment in a rich brown on one of the embroidery hoops from the patterned paper, then carefully cut it out and added three Dragonfly Brads. I made a background of two papers divided by a frieze of flowers from a third, framed up with Purple Checked Washi. I accented a few additional sprays of flowers with Glitter Enamel Dots (there are eleven other colors if you don't love gold!) and called it a day.

Be sure to check up on the EO Blog often, to see what the design team have been up to, it is always worth the trip!

Hi There!

Today's card entitled "Hi There!" is a reminder that Spring is coming soon!  Although Easter is seven weeks away, it's time to get those Easter cards ready.  Here's an Easter shaker card featuring Eyelet Outlet chick brads that's fun and interactive.

This week I wanted to create a 'happy' card featuring the Eyelet Outlet chicks brads.  My immediate thought is a shaker card creating an interactive aspect to the card and bringing focus to these delightful chick brads.  It all starts by selecting a colorful background paper with lots of spring flowers and a bit of glitter adding a fun factor to the card.

The next step is to build the shaker and apply it to the card.  Add the chick brads and then have fun adding a variety of glittery bits such as sequins, micro beads, and larger beads in various shapes and colors that compliment the paper.

The final step is to add the gold glitter dots and an interesting sentiment.  Hmmm...are the chicks speaking to each other?  Perhaps, you decide!

Whether this card is placed in an Easter basket or mailed to family and friends, give this card a try and shake, shake, shake!

Hop on over to the Eyelet Outlet website and pick up your Easter card supplies.
