Looking Sharp!

Hello everyone! I hope all our US friends had a very nice Thanksgiving holiday.

Today I have a 5 x 7 card featuring cactus and succulents. This is an image I colored with markers and then used Eyelet Outlet products to take it up a level. It's so easy to do with EO brads, bling and washi tapes!

I used Cactus washi tape on green cardstock to create the top and bottom border of this card. Pearl and jewel bling add a bit of sparkle, while the Cactus Brads add just the right enhancements to the card to make it special.

Getting Older Is No Prob-Llama!

You can never have enough birthday cards so I make them to be at the ready when they're needed. Today's card was fun to do in part because it's a lot different than all the holiday cards I've done lately. I'm loving the citrus colors of orange, green, and yellow!

The green panel is 4" x 5 1/4". I cut two orange strips of paper at 1 1/2" each and place a strip of Cactus Washi Tape in the middle of each. I glued them at an angle and trimmed off the excess orange paper on each side. Then I cut the blue starburst and the yellow circle. I glued my blue llama on the circle and then put a Cocktail Brad on his back and three green Pearl Bling. I adhered the llama piece on to the green panel and then inserted Piñata Brads and Cactus Brads in the corners. I mounted the green panel on a slightly larger orange panel and put both on a white A2 card base. I wrapped a white and orange baker's twine around the folded edge of the card and tied a bow. Last, I stamped and cut the birthday sentiment strip and glued it to the top orange and washi tape strip.

This is a bright and fun card I will put in my stash for someone that I knows likes a southwestern theme or enjoys tropical drinks. This would be a perfect card for a get together around the pool when it's hot and toasty outside!

Western Friendship Card

 Today I'm sharing a card I had a lot of fun making. It sports a decidedly western and desert theme. The focus point includes EO's Cowboy Brads and Cactus Brads. Gold Glitter Enamel Dots go really well with the golden brown colors in the Cowboy Brads too.

The background of this card is made with strips of Cactus Washi Tape. Brown Jewel Strips-4mm size give this card a little bit of shine which plays off of the glitter enamel dots. It's a perfect card for a BFF who likes the western theme.

You're Hot!

Hello everyone. I'm here today to share a love card. Now, maybe two lizards don't strike you as the objects of love. I beg to differ! I've known several people who adore their pet lizards and other cold blooded creatures. They're not for me but I still like this theme as there is a twist of humor in it.

I used washi tape for the background instead of paper. I don't have a lot of desert themed paper but I had two washi tapes. With a bit of sky washi and some green skinny washi, a perfect background was born! This was a fun one to put it together.

Llama Love!

 I am totally "hooked" on the new Cactus Brads coming to the store soon! I am lucky enough to get some before they're released and I sure had fun with them. There are two styles - one with flowers and one without. There are two flower colors as well. 

Here, I made a whole cactus garden with Sky Washi - Wide as the backdrop and a bright sun from the Sun & Cloud Brad Set. A ring of Champagne Strip Bling was used around the garden portal. Also used in this card is some beautiful Cactus Washi Tape. I love the vibrant colors in it! The pinks and greens are great for a spring card. The llama scene was made with stickers but I added a green Enamel Heart and a Cloud brad. For a final touch, I used strips of Wood Washi Tape at the top for a mat.
