Brewing Up a Happy Halloween!
Hi everyone and happy Sunday! Today I have a card that's toad-ally fun! Lots of people tell me they don't like scary Halloween. This one is nothing but cute and cuddly - or as much as a toad can be in his cauldron bath tub!
I started this project by stamping and coloring the frog and the cauldron and then I fussy cut it out. I cut the orange and purple ovals using dies and arranged the pieces on them. Then I added the faucet, frog and soap brads to further set the scene. I used Swirl Bling and Fancy Long Pearl & Jewel Bling to add smoke and bubbles. Once the rest of the mats were in place, I added a web sticker and a Mini Spider Brad dangling off the corner web.
SHOPPING LIST:
Thanks for taking the time to stop by today. I hope I inspired you to get creative with your Halloween stamps and Eyelet Outlet embellishments. Stop by the EO Store and get the cutest things to make your cards extra special.

Happy Birthday To You
By now we've all learned the CDC's recommendation to ensure proper hand washing,. We should wash for as long as it takes to sing "Happy Birthday" twice. So if you can't be with your special someone on their birthday, you can at least let them know you'll be thinking of them as you wash your hands!
This stair-step fold card was created with several great Eyelet Outlet products including our brand new soap brad from the Mask, Hand Sanitizer & Soap Brad Set. I've also used the faucet from the Pipe Brad set, the Music Note Brad, as well as some tear drop bling in blue and clear.
Thanks for stopping in today. Be well and enjoy the day!

No LION! You're Great!
I've got Valentines on my mind today and I'm crazy about incorporating Eyelet Outlet brads into them! Today's Valentine features the King of the Jungle, the lion brad!
How about a little "Throw Back Thursday" today?
A couple of years ago I put together a little kit so that my great niece could make her own Valentines Day cards for her class party at school. She had so much fun with this project! Using my Cricut I cut out a two layered heart image. I attached the text to the white heart layers and used the print-then-cut feature in Cricut Design Space. I punched all the holes where the brads would be placed and she matched up the brads with the valentines and glued the red heart frame to the cards.

Revved Up Gift Set
It is a fact, universally acknowledged, that masculine cards and gifts are harder to make than those with a feminine theme. Or maybe I (Lauren) am the only one who used to think so? But thanks to Eyelet Outlet I'm now definitely an Equal Opportunity Embellisher. For this gift set, I combined lots of EO Gear Brads, Compasses, Anodized Stars and manly washi tapes with papers from Prima Marketing's "Craftsman" collection. I think it's a bit of a match made in heaven!
I made the bag first. I added a nice thick band alternating layers of torn paper and Brick Tape, Circuit Tape, Map Tape, Road Tape, and Wheels Tape; but really ANY combination of tapes which work well together would be equally good. I adorned the picture wheel with tiny 1/16" Round Brads in gold, and added some old-school Brushed Brass Eyelets to the corners of the label shape. Finally I added the fabulous vintage car (snipped from an old falling apart book I got at a garage sale) and a few Anodized Stars. The extra eagle-eyed will notice that in with the gears I've slipped a few Film Cans from our Movie Brads and Faucet Valves from the Pipe Brad Set; because they both look like they belong, and you don't always have to just use things the way they were originally intended! ;)
When it came to making the card, I basically made a pared down version of the same design, but I added a sentiment. It's a combination of small foam letter stickers and my own larger diecut alphas, made from cardstock covered with Map Tape! The background again uses the Map Tape, Brick Tape and Circuit Tape and I've thrown in another Compass and some Anodized Stars.
When it comes to creative embellishing, Eyelet Outlet *always* has your back!

Did She Say, "Steampunk Goggles"?!
Yes. Yes, I (Lauren) did say STEAMPUNK GOGGLES! Because that's what's on the card I made for today, a pair of fanciful goggles surrounded by lots of Eyelet Outlet Gear Brads and Pearl Swirls and... well, lots of other good stuff I'll tell you about in a minute.
The goggles themselves were actually really easy to make. They're just layers of diecut circles, stacked together. The largest (dark brown) is about 2 5/8", the silver layer is 2 3/8", the copper colored layer is 2" and the die that cut the hole through all of them so we could see Victorian London (via magazine photo, lol) is just over an inch. I think the thing that really "sells" the feeling of steampunk and fantasy is that after I assembled all the layers, I set twelve (12!) tiny 1/16" Mini Round Gold Brads around each lens, to act as the rivets holding the goggles together. I also used a Pipe Brad for the nosepiece and a couple of tiny scraps of copper colored paper at either end to suggest straps.
For the sentiment, I used letter stickers in brown cardstock (dream) and silver metallic chipboard. I swapped out the "I" in "big" for a Pipe Brad and a Gear Brad embellished with a Tiny Round Brad from the Brown Mix.

The steampunk goggles I have seen photos of (because apparently YES, this is really A Thing!) all have gears and attachments, which I decided to add to the background, instead of the goggles themselves. I stenciled a few gears over some text paper. Then I got to work adding Gear Brads, Screw Brads, Valves from the Pipe Brad set, a Compass Brad, and even a couple of film canisters from the Movie Brads set, because they looked like a different type of cog or wheel to me! Then I added bits of a Pearl Swirl to suggest movement, and filled in with some 8mm Stippled Jewel Brads and loose Pearls.

Water You Waiting For
I love a good pun, don't you? I also love when words are used incorrectly to communicate in a funny way. That's just part of the quirky fun of today's card.
The words were generated on my computer and printed onto cardstock so this is an easy stamp-free card to make, thanks to Eyelet Outlet's awesome Brads, Bling (a.k.a. Jewel Strip), and Washi Tape!

Silly Jokes!
If my dad were still with us I can well imagine what he'd have to say right now! He'd say, "You can stay, but those jokes gotta go!" I've had so much fun creating silly joke cards this week for the children in my life and today I'm going to share a few with you!
This one is my favorite! Who would have thought I could create a card that pairs the new Eyelet Outlet Ghost Brad, Fishing Pole Brad, and Fish Brad in the same card!?
The answer? Lake Eeerie, of course!

The answer? Lake Eeerie, of course!
Next up these adorable twin witches started with a witch image from Cricut Mini Monsters cartridge, but Eyelet Outlet brads took them to the next level! I embellished them with Witch Hat Brads, Witch Leg Brads, Broom Brads, and Round Jewel Brads.
The Answer? You never know which witch is which!
Now when I heard this joke I knew immediately I had a card to create using the Cricut Faucet Brad from the Pipe Brad Set! The tomato and lettuce are Cricut images from the Freshly Picked cartridge and the race track image is from Sports Mania.
The answer? The lettuce was a head, the faucet was running, and the tomato was trying to ketchup!
We all need a little fun in our lives, don't you think? I hope you've been inspired to make a silly joke card for someone you love or maybe to donate to a charity that collects cards for hospitalized children who need some good cheer.

Plumbing Problems!
It's Kim from Katydid Cards again.
Yesterday I shared a card about an indoor plumbing project gone awry. Today I'm sharing a card about plumbing problems of a different sort using the new Pipe Brads and Tear Drop Bling.
I have a friend who is dealing with Crohn's Disease, but she handles it well. She says a good sense of humor helps get her through it and everything else life has to offer. So, I know she is going to love this card and appreciate my "dry" humor.
This Inverted Center Step card seemed to be the perfect backdrop for the pipe brads. This sort of card doesn't provide much space for an image or text, so I was happy this combination worked out so well. I've created a template to share with you if you'd like it. It's on the Freebies page, if you'd like it.
The patterned paper reminded me of bathroom tile and it makes sense that it should as it was part of the Bubble Bath Collection by Peppermint Creative. I pulled the colors for my cardstock from that.
Here's a look at the inside:
If you missed my post yesterday, here's another card using the Pipe Brads and Tear Drop Bling.

Indoor Plumbing
Hi! It's Kim from Katydid Cards sharing a card made with some of the brand new products in the Eyelet Outlet store!
You may be wondering why I'm talking about indoor plumbing. If I were expecting to be reading about a card using EO products, I'd be wondering, too So as not to keep you in suspense, here is my card using the Pipe Brads! I also used the new Tear Drop Bling as the water.
This shower is as cold as it gets!
In retrospect, I guess it was a leap to go from pipes to a penguin frozen in an ice cube, but that's just the way my mind works! I'd use any excuse to work with these adorable brads!
I had to search for a penguin image to work just right and, fortunately, I found it at Eureka Stamps. The igloo is in the Silhouette Design Store. If you look at that file, you'll see I changed the design a bit to suit my needs. I cut each of the blocks and sponged the edges in blue. The remaining skeleton worked perfectly as a placement guide. I removed it after every block was in place.
I also altered the image in my Silhouette design screen; resizing and removing the color. Then I traced around the image and print and cut it. I colored the image with Copic markers.
I also cut acetate for the area from the faucet down to the ice cube and another piece to place over the ice cube, so they appear shiny. The Tear Drop Bling, as well as Clear Swirl Bling, were placed atop the acetate.
As you can see, I printed the greeting on three of the blocks on the front of the card and here's the sentiment inside. I'd say this would be well received by someone who needs a bit of reassurance...and a smile.
I have a little something else planned for these Pipe Brads which I hope to bring to you soon. There are just too many great products in the EO store or too few hours in the day.

Somewhere Over the Rainbow
Hi folks, it's Lauren here again. When my niece Madeline was little, any time she was asked what her favorite color was, she immediately said, "RAINBOW!" Maddie is thirteen now, but I'm pretty sure that rainbow is still her favorite color, and it's mine, as well. So today I have a trio of rainbow cards which feature some of my favorite old and new Eyelet Outlet products.
Have you seen the brand new Pipe Brad Sets? I think they're one of the coolest items in the new Fall Release, because there are just so many ways to use them! Each packet contains faucets, valves, straight pipe and elbow joints, so the combinations are nearly endless. My fellow designer, Susan made this clever card using the pipes and valves and this one that features one of the faucets quite brilliantly. Mine is not as practical, but it has a lot more color, lol!
I pieced together a bunch of the pipe segments and had them lead to a faucet that dispenses rainbow swirls which I water colored using all my favorite shades of ColorBurst pigment powders. I added a computer generated sentiment mounted on a mat of Glitter Black Washi for a bit of sparkle.
My second rainbow idea involves a bunch of my favorite Eyelet Outlet Washi Tapes, including: Purple Zig Zag, Blue Dots, Skinny Green Stripe, Tape Measure Washi, Orange Fans, Red Dots and just a few of the colors from the Skinny Washi set. I used the same sentiment as the first card, but this time I trimmed it into a little banner shape and added a Heart Brad.
For my third card, I got my ColorBursts out again, and this time painted swirling lines in colors that match the six shades which come in each pack of Crayon Brads. These are no longer in stock online, but I did manage to snag some this summer in the EO booth at Scrapbook Expo, so it's definitely worth a trip if that fun show comes to your town! (I got those fab Gingham washi tapes there, too!) My top tip for neatening up watercolor accents is to use a very fine-lined black pen to outline each element, then fill in any voids with a coordinating brush pen. I added a multi-color sentiment this time, and called it a day.
The EO design team have been super-inspired by all of the new brads in the Fall Release, so be sure and check back each day and see what we are getting up to next!
