Celebrate Spring!

I don't care what the Groundhog says ... I'm ready for a little Spring.

When I die cut my new layered Birch Press Design Delfina Blueprint Craft Dies in three shades of green, it reminded me of my great-grandmother's flower trellis ... so I had a lot of fun using Eyelet Outlet products to embellish my spring garden.

I started with lots of pink flowers with some clear gems in the center.  I used some 3-D glue dots to give some a bit more dimension.

Next I added two different butterfly brads fluttering around the blooms.

I finished with a sweet little pair of Rabbit Brads hiding in the grass at the bottom.

Looking for Spring?

Hello there, I'm so excited, this is my first time posting for the Eyelet Outlet & Brads and I would like to feature Enamel Dots from the store.  I'm totally in love with all their brads I haven't had the dots, jewels or washi tape but look out I am going to enjoy every minute of using them. In order to feature a few of the different enamel dots I made 4 Artist Trading cards.

Three spring "fluffle" atcs and one St. Patricks day.

These sparkly enamel dots come in lots of colours

To the right here they are in yellow, so pretty

Below I used one yellow dot for the flower and purple hearts just because I love purple.

Last but not least the super cute St. Patrick's Day ATC featuring the mint green enamel dots.
So happy you stopped by today and if you have never shopped at the Eyelet Outlet and Brads before head over and see what new items are for sale there, you won't be disappointed.

Did You Say, "Yoga Cats"?!

Yes. Yes, I (Lauren) did say, "Yoga Cats", they are one of my favorite new Eyelet Outlet brad designs! In fact they are so new they are not even in the store quite yet, but they'll be there any minute and you're going to want them because LOOK! HOW! CUTE!:

The cats come in two colors and three poses, and I wanted to show off as many as possible, so I made them into inchies to fit the front of my (horizontal) "tall" card.

I've mounted the inchies on a little bit of foam tape so they could float on top of my favorite new washi tape, which is extra-wide and has a design of whimsical vines and mandala-like flowers. I've used ancient alphabet stickers in a font I will never stop loving to fashion an appropriate sentiment.

There are lots of brand new Eyelet Outlet products getting ready to make their debut in the store. Be sure to keep checking back here to see the projects our amazing new design team members will come up with to show them off!

Little Black Purse

Hi Everyone!
It's Nancy from Kandykrazee, and I am so excited  to be here as a Design Team
member with my first post on the Eyelet Outlet blog!

For my project, I decided to make this super cute clutch from SVG Cuts!

I used the clear bumpy bling and the clear bling on the flap of the purse,
and on the front of the bag, I used the black pearl bling strips.  These super long
strips are great, so much easier than attaching them one by one!

To attach the purse strap, I used a couple of black stippled Jewel Brads!

Wet Your Whiskers!

How many of you are avid football fans, ready for the BIG game tomorrow?!  We're much more into college football than pro, although we will definitely watch the game, as much for the commercials as for the football!

We usually keep our game day menu very simple...hot wings with lots of extra hot sauce, beer (hard cider for us gluten-free folks, and water too),  pretzels, a veggie platter and some cookies.

I've had these mustache brads in my stash for a while and have been contemplating what I wanted to use them for.  Aren't they cute?!  I love that the package comes with regular and "handlebar" mustaches!  (My friend, Cres, has a big red handlebar mustache!)

I decided to make a few game day bottle neck tags printed with an Old West, Texas saloon-style font and accented with skinny ribbon "bow ties."  I kept them super simple (when you're making multiples, less is more, right?!), left them short so the bottle labels aren't covered and so they won't get wet and soggy when the bottles are partially submerged in ice.

These are just a little something fun for the game without the complication of team colors and all that!  They'd also make cute birthday, bachelor party or wedding favors.  With all of our cute embellishments, it would be easy to change 'em up to fit a theme for the girls, too.

Enjoy the game!  I'm hoping for some great commercials and a close score!  For once I don't really care that much who wins!

Embellishment Clusters using brads, washi, flowers and bling!

Hello Crafty Friends This is Carri from DoubleClick! I am so very excited for my first posting here at the Eyelet Outlet Blog!

I really enjoy making embellishment clusters ahead of time, that way when I am crafting away I can just look through my all ready made clusters and add them to my projects. I already have a large bin of scrap die cuts, banners and shapes for layering, I build my base and then add my embellishments:

For my first embellishment:

Supplies used:
Scrap papers
The best is yet to come word sticker from Tim Holtz
Products used from the Eyelet Outlet:
Telephone and Silver Edge Pearl  brads
Clear Jewels
Camera Washi

For my 2nd:
Scrap papers
From the Eyelet Outlet:
Clear Jewels
Pearl Silver Brads
Paper Flowers

And my 3rd:

Paper scraps
Bella Blvd cloud stamp
From the Eyelet Outlet:
Glitter washi
Bird Brad
Jewel Bling Pink

I don't have lots of time to craft, so while my supplies are out I take a look and see what I can create before I get started:

I added all of these washi tape embellishments to my projects, then I add any extras in a storage container for next time:

Thank you for visiting today!

and Introduce to you...

Designer Barbara
Married for 56 years, I live in a small city in Southern Ontario with my hubby and a 19 year old black cat named Spook, 3 grown children, 3 grown grandsons, one 8 year old great grandson and a new baby on the way in June. We are both long retired and have a summer cottage on Lake Erie, where we spend most of the summer there relaxing.  I love crafting while I’m there. I usually have a lot of crafting supplies there by the end of summer!

Designer Carri
My name is Carri AKA Abusybee. I am  honored to be a designer for the Eyelet Outlet! I have been paper crafting since 2009, and I love every minute that I have my hands on paper and glue! I enjoy using embellishments, tools and trying new techniques on cards, mini albums, Smashbooks and junk journals. When I am not in my craft room, I can be found working my day job, or coaching cross country!  I love to meet up with crafty friends, sort and organize my supplies and then sort and organize my supplies again!  I was already a hoarder (I mean collector) of Eyelet Outlet goodies, so I am very excited to use them while inspiring others along the way!

Designer Georgiana
My name is Georgiana Carson and I am 5th grade teacher who loves to make cards and 3D treats, especially for my students and fellow teachers. I live in North Central Florida with my husband of 22 ½ years, two college-aged kids, Kyle and Kelsey, and my pampered pooch, Molly.  I have been crafting for the past 5 ½ years and love to use a variety of materials, especially pattern papers, stamped sentiments, embellishments, and now watercolors. My family has learned to support my obsession...and will even contribute to my addiction. I am SUPER excited to be joining the Eyelet Outlet Design Team.

Designer Kim
I have been involved in paper crafting for 25 years, having been introduced to it when a friend visited me in the hospital and brought her scrapbook along to help pass the time. I was blown away by that scrapbook, having never seen one quite like it before. I loved the idea of pulling pictures out of a shoe box in the closet and turning them into works of art and adding heartfelt journaling to bring them to life.

It inspired me to begin scrap booking while recuperating. But what started as something to fill empty hours turned into a real passion and I’ve been playing with paper in one form or another ever since. Along the way, I found my real love…card making. It’s wonderful to be able to put a smile on someone’s face with a handcrafted card.

I’ve been a fan and customer of Eyelet Outlet for many years, seeking them out at Scrapbook Expos when they came to my neck of the woods. Being selected for the EO design team is a perfect fit for me!

I live with Katy, my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, who supervises my comings and goings and is the namesake of my blog,

Designer Patricia
Hello Everyone, my name is Patricia and I am very excited to be a new member of the Eyelet Outlet design team!  I have been creating art & craft projects almost all of my life. My parents still have cards that I made for them as a little girl using the only 2 art supplies I possessed - construction paper & crayons! My passion in life is creating things and admiring the creative talents of others.  When I’m not in my craft room preparing projects for my blog & Youtube channel, I’m either writing, sketching, reading or visiting blogs and online galleries admiring other talents.

Designer Nancy

Hi, my name is Nancy Boyd, and I live in Ontario, Canada.
I am married with 2 kids, Cole 22 and Keeley 15.  I love to craft!
I spend most of my free time in my craft room, turning colourful
paper into cards and gift boxes.

We hope that you come back daily for inspiring ideas and projects presented by these talented ladies.
We also want to see your own creations using Eyelet Outlet supplies.
