Sew Awesome

Let your mom know how awesome she is with a handmade card this Mother's Day. I used several Eyelet Outlet products to embellish this one and I love how it turned out.

I used a Cricut image for the pin cushion and I added some of Eyelet Outlet's small yellow enamel dots to the heads of the pins, I used our amazing thread brads on the card. I tucked a piece of white thread in behind the white spool which really added interest and texture. I topped off this little sewing center with a some black enamel hearts.

I SEW appreciate your stopping by today and I hope you'll be making your mom a special card!

Hearts Galore!

Eyelet Outlet has hearts in every size, color and material for your Valentine projects! Here's just a few examples.

These two cards feature our heart brads (top) and our enamel hearts (bottom). Our heart brads package comes with red, white, and pink hearts of different sizes. I used all pink for this project and in between the dangling hearts I used pink jeweled gems.

Our enamel hearts come in many colors, too. For this project I used just pink and red ones and I used some red and pink enamel dots in varying sizes in between.

Thanks for stopping by today and be sure to check back because the designers will be inspiring you with more valentine ideas in the days ahead!

Create Your Own Sunshine

This week has been so cloudy and gloomy looking at my house. I've been hungry for some sunshine and decided to create my own!

For this card I used images from Cricut Design Space and instead of using card stock for the paint on the palette, I used Eyelet Outlet enamel dots in 6 different colors. We have loads of sizes and colors to choose! I also added a couple of yellow enamel hearts and I'm really happy with how this turned out. I think it will really brighten my recipient's day.

Sweet Holiday Wishes from the Gingerbread Kids

Ever since Eyelet Outlet introduced the Gingerbread Boys & Girls a few years back, I always look forward to using them in some of my holiday projects. Today I used them in a sweet little Christmas card.

The gingerbread house is from Cricut Design Space. I cut the white layer from white glitter iron-on and used my Cricut Easy Press to adhere it to the brown card stock layer of the house. Iron-on works amazingly well on card stock, by the way.

I added a few red enamel dots to the house and of course, the gingerbread kids are at the door. I added a few of our brand new retro Christmas tree brads to either side of the house, too.

Be sure and check back soon, because I have another fun project I'll be sharing soon that also uses the gingerbread kids.

Just a Note

Hello EO fans! I hope you've had a great week. I'm here today with a thinking of you card. I made it for a friend who is having a few health problems right now and I hope this gave his spirits a lift.

On the front, I created a background with patterned cardstock and then I stamped, colored, and cut out the envelope and bird image. I added it to the front and then embellished with EO flower brads, Music Note brads, and Mini Bee Brads. I used Corner Brads in the upper corners and I also added black enamel dots to the bottom corner.

Pocket Full of Posies

Spring is just around the corner and I'm thinking about flowers!  Eyelet Outlet has paper flowers in every color that will really make your spring projects stand out.  Today I've filled a pocket of my favorite blue jeans with some yellow ones - and a few green ones serve as leaves.

We have lots of options for adorning the center of your flowers, from jeweled brads, round brads, and stick-on jewels, but today I decided on some enamel dots.  I also added a few enamel hearts to my card.

Llama Birthday Wishes!

I thought this Llama was so adorable and would pair perfectly with the NEW Pinata Brad set!

I added my diecut Llama to colorful, striped patterned paper then stamped my curly hangers to add the pinatas! I did add foam tape behind 2 pinatas for extra pop! I embellished with colorful enamel dots, bling, and pearls, along with the new pinata brads!

To create a fun and colorful inside of my birthday card, I added more hanging pinatas, light purple washi tape, and the pink pearl strip! I think this would be a delightful birthday greeting card!

Autumn is here and with it comes scarecrows, pumpkins
and rich colors. For this seasonal card I used stamps and
some background stencils from Peddlers Den/Makin a Scene
Stamps. I colored the scene with Distress Inks and Copics.

Then came the decorating fun with the adorable pumpkin
brads from Eyelet Outlet. I love their rich color. Next, I decorated
the corner with washi tape, paper flowers and enamel dots -

Baby Dresser Card

Happy Thursday, crafters!  Today I've got a sweet little baby card for you that I made on my Cricut Maker.  I used the debossing tip to add some texture to the dresser, but the best part of this card were the fabulous Eyelet Outlet products that were used!

I love the way the book washi tape looks on the top shelf!  The next shelf holds one of our book brads, a brown teddy bear brad, and a train engine brad from the train mix set.  And of course, the little hanger brad for the outfit!  I also added some enamel dots on the drawers.

I've shared the file for this card on my Cricut profile, so if you're a Cricut crafter, you can make this card for a little one you love!

Thanks for stopping in today!  Happy crafting!

New Cactus Brads!

We're always so excited to introduce you to new products at Eyelet Outlet and we know you're going to love the new cactus brads!

There are a couple of different types of cacti in the package and I was especially glad to see these beautiful prickly pear cactus.  It just so happens that my craft room window here in Texas looks out to a pasture that has quite a few prickly pear and I always love it when their pretty yellow blooms begin.to show up. I added a sun brad as well as some enamel hearts and dots to my card, too.

Check out all the newly released brads at Eyelet Outlet!

Susan's Top 3 Favorite Birthday Cards

This week the Eyelet Outlet Design Team is bringing you our top 3 favorites from earlier posts.  I decided to focus on my favorite birthday cards, because every month of the year, I need at least one birthday card for a friend or family member.

For this 'Hippy Birthday" card I used an Eyelet Outlet hanger brad, enamel dots, pearl bling strips, and skinny glitter washi tape.

These birthday candles were so quick and easy with Eyelet Outlet skinny washi tapes!  The hardest part was deciding which of the many beautiful tapes to use.  Each candle is topped with some teardrop bling.

No matter how hard I try, I'm  occasionally "in hot water" and need a belated birthday card. I loved this use of the lobster brads so much I almost wanted to send a birthday card late on purpose!  I also added a little pot holder brad to the lid of the pot.

Thanks for joining us on our trip down memory lane this week as we each bring you our favorite posts from the past.

Gingerbread Kisses and Christmas Wishes!

Does your family make Christmas cookies together?

I love Christmas traditions! One of our family traditions is Christmas baking!! And gingerbread cookies are a favorite!! When I received these adorable little Gingerbread cookie brads, I couldn't wait to create a fun "baking" themed card!! I used a cute gingerbread cookie rubber stamp for my focal point and colored her in with markers! I added the sparkly enamel dots for her buttons! I layered my gingerbread cookie on a stamped recipe card image! Lastly, I embellished my recipe card with the adorable little gingerbread cookie brads! Wouldn't this card be fun to attach to a bag of homemade gingerbread cookies? Your loved ones would love that! Can't you just see the smiles of those who receive a cute gingerbread card with homemade goodies! This is a fun Halloween card using traditional Halloween colors.
I die cut the background and also the scalloped circle. I stamped the
cat and added Distress Inks for a spooky night effect.

The really fun part came when I added some of the fabulous
Halloween embellishments from Eyelet Outlet. For the scalloped circle
I added enamel dots and clear jewels from the Eyelet Outlet.

the black pearl strip around the card.

"The Nurse did it! " Halloween Retro-T.V Shaker Mem-Dex card

My most favorite season of the year is on its way!  I am so excited to be sharing with you my first design team project and to celebrate I am offering this Retro-T.V. mem-dex shaker card for free!  I designed this mem-dex in Adobe, as well as the "murder mystery" ombre sentiment. I then used my Cricut machine to cut out my patterned and solid color cardstock. I also used this cute nurse stamp from my stash and colored her in using Halloween colors to give her a spooky vibe.

I just love using Eyelet Outlet embellishments to give my projects that special touch! I used the Orange Pearl Bling to represent the knobs of the television and give it that 3-D effect. I also used the Black Enamel Dots for the television antennas to make them look extra cute! and last but not least, I used the Purple Jewel Bling Strips to zhoosh up my project.

Start The Music

I guess I have a song in my heart lately, because I've got a music themed card for you two weeks in a row!

I've wanted to make this little xylophone for a while now and finally got around to it.  It's a Cricut image and I've used colorful Eyelet Outlet round brads from the summer brad mix to hold it together.  Keeping with my colorful theme, I added some enamel hearts and I used a round enamel dot on the instrument's stick.  The bottom right corner was begging for a music note brad, so I obliged!

See you next week, when I'll be starting my Christmas in July posts!

Hoppy Easter, Everybunny!

Eyelet Outlet Pastel Rabbit Brads are one of my (Lauren's) favorite styles for Easter, and... they're on sale! I love how the five colorful bunnies add instant interest to my card, and how well they pair with the shades of EO Bright Stitched Flowers and Minis (the latter are also on sale!) Heart Brads and colorful Enamel Dots.

I used two sizes of circle punches to frame each Rabbit Brad with a few flowers, dots and hearts; but this design would work equally well with Chicks, Brown Rabbits, Colored Eggs, or pretty much ANY Eyelet Outlet brad style you love!

favorite Easter candies are
Zittner's Butter Krak Eggs
(oddly named but delicious!)

Bargello Technique

There are many techniques that you may use in you paper crafting projects.
One is called Bargello.  Traditionally, you cut patterned papers in to strips. Adhere the strips to a piece of paper. Turn the paper 180 degrees, and then cut more strips. These new strips, cut against the grain of the original strips, are adhered to paper again, but in a slightly different position.

Here I used washi tape, instead of the traditional strips.  It makes the first step cleaner and easier!
If you know Eyelet Outlet, you know we have a great selection of washi tape.
What other techniques do you use in your paper crafting?

Hope you are safe and warm in this winter weather!

I CHEWS You!

I can't take credit for being the first Eyelet Outlet designer to use our enamel dots as gum balls, because a few years ago the talented Lauren created an awesome card that I adored!  You can see Lauren's card here. You know what they say, Lauren.  Imitation is the highest form of flattery, so here's my version.

There's a lot of pretty colored enamel dots on this card, but believe it or not, there are even more colors and sizes available!  See all of our enamel dots and shapes at Eyelet Outlet.
