Santa's taking a break from all the holiday prep to enjoy a bit of surfing, and maybe a few treats, too.  Santa's tropical island has am Eyelet Outlet Tall Palm Tree Brad behind a Sandcastle; and Santa's brought a Candy Cane Brad along, just in case he needs extra energy. Holiday Pop Up Greeting!

 Hi everyone! Happy Thanksgiving week! With it being so late, I'm feeling the need to really kick my holiday card making into high gear. I need to make cards that are quick and look like it took more time than it did. I have a die set that makes an easel card and I have some nice quality holiday ephemera. Using the die set and ephemera makes quick work out of a complicated looking card base and the ephemera means I don't have to do any coloring or other time consuming prep. 

This card folds flat but then pops up into an easel card which reveals more decorations inside. I used three different patterned papers in the same color way to further add interest and color. It's embellished  with several Christmas brads, glitter washi tape, and lots of bling from Eyelet Outlet. Using EO embellishments adds a lot to your cards without adding a lot of time. You can't ask for more! The washi border and mat for Santa was easy to do with the included dies in the card set. My short cuts still made an elegant card that I'll be proud to give it to any of my friends and family.

Mitten Magic

I've been busy making Christmas cards so that I'm ready for our card mailings and for my church's craft fair coming up in December. The task is enjoyable with all the wonderful holiday brads and bling from Eyelet Outlet. This card has a number of elements but is pretty quick to create. The mittens and checked cardstocks were cut using Cricut Design Space. Once I designed it by sizing and arranging it to my liking, I cut the pieces out and proceeded to put them together.

Once pieced, the card was ready to decorate. First I glued the arched background in place. Then I cut the circles for the sentiment with punches and stamped the white one. I layered them with foam tape and applied it to the bottom corner. Then I added the three Holly Brads to the other corners.

Next, I added the Tree -Retro Brad to the center of the white tree. I added three Snowflake Brads on the two mittens and then three White Snowflake Bling pieces to the mitten cuff. I like the pops of white and green on this card. The brads and bling set the mittens off perfectly.

Calling All Angels

TREE-Mendous!

The TREE-Mendous new Eyelet Outlet Retro Tree Brads have arrived just in time to celebrate Christmas in July!

 This card features a cluster of said Retro Trees layered over Snowy Trees for a feeling of depth, creating a little forest glade in which the vintage-inspired deer from our Santa and Deer set feels right at home. Naughty Christmas Cat

 

Yes it is Christmas day and this cat (from Tim Holtz) is
wondering if he is getting any gifts. I think he must have been
naughty this year.

This was lots of fun to make and I added several cute
holiday embellishments from Eyelet Outlet. The corners
have a bit of holly brads and the stockings are
great holiday brads too. Finally, I added some
 "Merry Christmas" washi tape from Eyelet Outlet.

Oh Christmas Tees!

This festive trio of holiday t-shirt cards is one of the fastest projects of the year, thanks to a colorful selection of Eyelet Outlet holiday themed brads and tapes. From top to bottom: A Gift Brad atop Santa Washi; a Candy Cane over Gingerbread Tape; a Santa Hat on Ho Ho Ho Washi; a green Peppermint Candy bedecks vertical Red Tree Tape; Santa himself (from our Santa and Mrs. Claus set) brightens up some Brick Washi; a Pine Tree atop Santa Hat Tape; the sweet vintage-inspired deer from our Santa and Deer set is on Holly Jolly Washi; a Snowy Tree adorns Winter Character Tape and finally Santa from the Santa and Deer set over Tree Washi. Jingle Bells!

 Can you hear the bells ringing yet? It's almost Christmas and today I'm celebrating with a card that celebrates many iconic Christmas icons. The great news is that there's so much to choose from at Eyelet Outlet! 

On my card I've included bell brads hanging from the sentiment. At the bottom of the card, Santa & Mrs. Claus brads are surrounded with Snow Tree Brads. On top, I've added a Sleigh Brad and a deer from the Santa & Deer Brads. The red background couldn't be simpler since it was created with strips of Ho Ho Let It Snow Washi Tape. Yes, indeed! Christmas is coming!

Figgy Pudding

This little figgy pudding was fun to make and adorn
 with the wonderful seasonal embellishments from the Eyelet Outlet.

First, he was die cut in traditional red and green holiday colors and

a holly brad added to his top along

 with black matte dots around his scarf.

Finally along the corners of the the card I brightened it up with
some fabulous gems from Eyelet Outlet.

Tiled Washi Tape Christmas Card

Eyelet Outlet's Christmas Sayings Washi Tape features eight different 1 x 1.75" vintage postcard designs. For this card they've been stuck to plain white cardstock and cut apart, to make a tiled background. The sentiment and diecut flower pick up on the lovely colors in the tape, and also provide a place for a Poinsettia Brad, a Cardinal Profile and a pair of Holly Brads.

Santa Claus is coming to town!

I am working on my Christmas cards and thought I would try creating a Christmas winter globe scene!

 For my globe, I cut a circle base and created a winter scene by stamping trees and using distress inks to create the background. I added prisma glitter for some sparkly snow! Next, I embellished by adding the adorable Santa sleigh brad and reindeer brads. For the base, I used the wood grain washi tape and attached my Merry Christmas sentiment. Lastly, I added my globe to white cardstock trimmed with the red and white stripe washi! I hope you try creating a wintery globe scene! So fun and festive!

Poinsettias for You

 This was a fun card to make and I was able to use the 

last of the cute poinsettias that I had been hiding away

for holiday cards.

The cute image is from Hetty Claire and is perfect for the
 Eyelet Outlet poinsettia brads I used along with the
red pearl gems. The washi tape is from Eyelet Outlet also and 
in a pretty red/green color.

A Merry Little Christmas

 Hello EO fans! I'm happy to be here today to share a icy and pretty winter Christmas card. To make this, began by inking a blue A2 card base with Broken China and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink. The next step was to cover white cardstock with Sparkle White Glitter Washi Tape and then cut slopes of snow with dies and stacked them together to create the drifts. I stamped, colored and cut the igloo scene. Before I glued that on the card, I installed two Pine Tree Brads. I also added two Polar Bear Brads and two Snowflake Brads. Such a pretty scene!

Wildlife Winterscapes

Maybe the most fun you can have with our Eyelet Outlet Wildlife Brads is to build little scenes for them to inhabit. This trio of A1 cards all have stamped trees and sponged skies, with Sun and Cloud Brads to light the way and a flurry of Snowflake Sequins to set the season. Pine Tree Brads and Snowy Pines add to the foliage, then the critters arrive: a Prancing Deer, a handsome Moose, plus mama and baby Bear Brads. Holiday Gnome Baker

Hello EO friends! I hope those of you in the U.S. enjoyed your long Thanksgiving weekend with family or friends. My family had a quiet day. There were only three of us but we cooked a good homemade meal with turkey and all the fixings. It was a very good day for the Axtman family!

 I've started on my Christmas cards and this cute little Baking Gnome card is a nice start. This gnome is holding a Gingerbread Brad and a spoon from the Baking Brads set. A red Heart Pearl decorates his bowl and a holly spray from the Holiday Bling pack. The background of the card is Glitter Silver Washi Tape. Finally I added three of the larger white pearls to the tag from the Pearl Bling Multi-Pack.

All of us on the Design Team laugh about this, but we are always looking for dies and other products that would be perfect with EO brads and bling. This gnome is a great example.
