With Sincere Sympathy

Daisies remind me of life's simple joys and happy memories! I chose the theme of daisies to create a sympathy card and of course, Eyelet Outlet, had just what I needed!

I created this simple sympathy card by first applying various texture stamps with distress inks on white cardstock. Next I added the wide floral washi tape across the center of my card. I added the paper flowers in white and yellow and used all 3 sizes for dimension. I added a center yellow brad for some pop! Next, I decided to pull the blue from the washi tape and use that color for my sentiment. Lastly, I embellished with a row of 3 blue brads from the Summer brad mix! I hope you enjoy!

Back To School

 As summer is coming to a close, it is time to gear up for "back to school".

I created this card thinking it would be a sweet way to encourage a teacher as they prepare to head back to school or perhaps to send to your child's teacher with a little note of encouragement! My card base is the standard 4.25 x 5.50 which I trimmed with film strip washi tape. I then created my card adding stamps, distress inks, and my greeting. Next, I embellished with tape measure washi tape and dots washi tape. Lastly, I added the paper flowers in yellow and white adding some distress inks for dimension and a orange brad for the center. This citrus card could be for encouragement or birthday! It is very versatile! I loved adding the new lemon and fruit brads! One of my favorite ways to use the paper flowers is to layer them! Summertime and the livin' is easy...

I love the slower pace of summer!

 These sweet kiddos are loving a slower, summer pace too, I think! To add the green grass washi, I used a craft knife to cut their feet and the bottom of the hug box and then slid the grass washi under! I added turquoise jewels for music notes and a 2 sweet butterfly brads. Lastly, I added 3 red brads to the bottom corner. I hope you enjoy!

Something Sweet...

 Just for you!

This summer, I am enjoying creating fun tags to add to gifts! This summery, sun-shiny, mason jar tag is so fun! I added a light script stamp background to the white mason jar. I created a band using patterned papers and a simple sentiment. I added the new adorable lemon and lime brads and jewel stickers in green. Next, I created a "just for you" tag for the top of the mason jar and used a green brad from the summer mix brad collection to hold it in place! Lastly, I topped off my mason jar with mixed twine ribbons!

Daisies and Mother's Day

 "Mothers hold their children's hands for a short while, but their hearts forever." -Unknown

My inspiration for this Mother's Day card came from the beautiful floral wide washi tape and white daisy brads. I decided to try a different style card and enjoyed playing with a diagonal front.

In creating my card I stamped, colored, and fussy cut daisies and leaves to create a diagonal border along with the layered paper flowers. I added green grass washi tape to give a grassy background to my border of flowers. Lastly, I added some distress ink and greeting to the inside.

I hope this inspires you to create a special Mother's Day card for your mom or someone who inspires you to be a better mom!

April Desktop Calendar Idea

 As we are enjoying spring blossoms and bright green leaves here in SC, we are also enjoying April showers! I thought these little rainboots were just the thing to use to create a fun desktop calendar!

I created my "card" front using a rain drop stamp on the background and stamping and cutting out my sentiment and rainboots. Next I added one of my favorite washi's, the green grass washi, to the bottom edge. I embellished by adding the mini ladybug, mini bee and boot brads and some cardstock for layering, along with a small printed April calendar.

I adhered my "card front" to only half of the green cardstock, so that I could fold it for standing. I added the orange brads to anchor the stand up position and the green grass washi across the bottom. Lastly, I added a sticky note pad for those quick notes you want to make conveniently! I think this is a fun desktop calendar and note pad you could enjoy all month!

Easter Gift Tag Idea!

 Do you create Easter gift baskets or treat bags for family and friends for Easter? I have a cute tag idea for you to easily add to your basket or treat bag!

I started with stamping and coloring in my bunny "Happy Easter" image. After coloring with markers, I added ladybugs and bumble bee brads to my image. I then embellished the corners by layering yellow and white paper flowers and colored brads from the summer mix collection! So fun and easy to assemble! You can easily create several at a time for Easter baskets and treat bags! I hope you enjoy!

It's a game changer!! I also loved adding the party hats, colorful summer brads, and a tiny pink pearl on my stamped party hat for extra flair!

Flannel Shirt Gift Card

 Today's card entitled, "Flannel Shirt Gift Card", is a great way to present someone with a gift card!  Buffalo check patterned paper + Eyelet Outlet Embellishments makes this card a definite at holiday time. 

The pocket insert provides a small forest scene consisting of Eyelet Outlet Deer Brad with two Eyelet Outlet Pine Tree Brads along with a holiday greeting.  A gift card is adhered (with one glue dot) to the back of the pocket insert.

Eyelet Outlet Red Brads (from the 1/8 Summer mix) represent the shirt buttons while the Eyelet Outlet sticky-back Pearls add a bit of interest to the collar and pocket.  (TIP:  I was out of black dots so I used grey pearls and colored them black with my alcohol markers.)

Although this card is used today as a holiday greeting card, this could also be a birthday card as well1

Be a Pop of Color!

Eyelet Outlet has so many amazing shaped brads!  There are all sorts of birds and animals, flowers and trees, shoes and clothing!  You name it and we've got a brad for that!  Sometimes, though, I forget about the simple round ones, so today I'm bringing you a project using them.

Eyelet Outlet has round brads in every color, shape and size!  There are jeweled ones and pearl ones, too!  There are even some available in bulk!  Today I used some from the 1/8" Spring Brad Mix   and some from the 1/8" Summer Brad Mix to create this painter's pallet.  I used black and white skinny washi tape on 3 sides of my card, but then I decided to be daring and use this multi-colored stripe washi on the remaining side!  

Be sure to throw a couple of packages of Eyelet Outlet Round Brads in your cart before you check out!  When you use them, post a pic on Instagram and be sure to tag us!
