Happy Birthday Wishes!

Birthdays are a great time to share good wishes and show appreciate for those you love! And making handmade birthday cards is extra fun with Eyelet Outlet washi tapes!

For my card base, I cut white cardstock to 5.5 x 5.5 and used a grid mat to create a diagonal pattern using various glittery washi tapes and the Happy Birthday washi tape! Next, I stamped and fussy cut my cupcake base and icing. I added pink pearls for
sprinkles and a birthday candle brad and adhered with foam tape. I layered on a piece of white doily and embellished with swirl purple jewel bling. I added a banner greeting and a few more sparkles!  I think it is a fun, festive, and colorful greeting that anyone would enjoy receiving on their special day!

Llama Birthday Wishes!

I thought this Llama was so adorable and would pair perfectly with the NEW Pinata Brad set!

I added my diecut Llama to colorful, striped patterned paper then stamped my curly hangers to add the pinatas! I did add foam tape behind 2 pinatas for extra pop! I embellished with colorful enamel dots, bling, and pearls, along with the new pinata brads!

To create a fun and colorful inside of my birthday card, I added more hanging pinatas, light purple washi tape, and the pink pearl strip! I think this would be a delightful birthday greeting card!

Make Me Coffee and Tell Me I'm Pretty!

Hello friends!  I am so excited to share my first ever project for Eyelet Outlet!  I recently jumped on the Memory Dex bandwagon and am having so much fun creating a collection of some of my favorite projects.

I thought that a Memory Dex card would be a great way to showcase some of the fun embellishments available in the store!  I paired this adorable image with some fun patterned papers.  I am a die-hard coffee drinker, so this sentiment really resonated with me!  The Sparkle Pink Glitter Washi Tape made the perfect divider between my two papers and since the theme is feeling pretty, I thought that I should add some pretty pink pearls.  I used the Pink Pearl Strips and separated several of the dainty little pearls and added them to the front of the card.
Have you jumped on the Memory Dex train yet?  If not, what is holding you back?
This was a really fun project to create!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Celebrating You!

Once again, I've got a fun little shaker card for you today using the fabulous sequins available at Eyelet Outlet.

I created the window in this card with one of the birthday cakes available in the Cricut image library and sliced it into the card base to created the window that holds the pink and white round sequins as well as a few heart shaped sequins.  The scalloped frosting on the cake provided an opportunity to use a few pink pearl stick on gems, too. For some extra fun I've added a few birthday candle brads to the cake.  I can't wait to send this card to someone I love!

Thanks for being with us today!  Enjoy the day with those you love.

Happy Hello Wreath

Hi EO fans! Everyone loves a wreath and they are so great on cards no matter how they are made. Today I have a wreath made of dove tailed washi tapes hung on some pink and white baker's twine.

I made this by cutting washi strips from four rolls of tape. Each strip started approximately 1 1/2" long and I cut three strips of each pattern. Then I cut a length of twine and folded each washi tape over the twine so that they became flags with a flat bottom. Once placed on the twine, I used my scissor to cut them approximately the same length with a straight bottom. Then I trimmed each end into a dovetail. I formed the flags into a circle on a 5 1/2" card base. I glued each flag in place with a dot of glue. I made a twine bow with four loops and glued it to hide where the twine ends came together at the top. To decorate my wreath, I used Snowflake Bling in green and red and used Pearl Bling in the corners of the card and one large one on top of the bow. The final step was to cut the Hello word from a die in gold foil and yellow cardstock. I shifted the two words slightly with the yellow on the back and glued them together. Then I glued the finished word across the wreath.

A Nap

Hey there!  It's Kim from Katydid Cards.

I don't know about you, but I am still trying to recover from the holidays.  All that hustle and bustle.  Then again, maybe it's just life.  The card I'm sharing today is a humorous example of just how I've been feeling...needing a nap!

I tried my hand at a diagonal flip card.  Turns out, it was perfect for this image from Art Impressions.  After I stamped her, I cut her out and then outfitted her with an iPhone from the Selfie Brads, Purse, and Pearl Bling earrings.  The background combines Brick and Brown Glitter Washi Tape with some Swirl Bling to finish.

When you flip open the left side, here's what you find inside with a bit more bling.

For you cardmakers out there, have you tried this card fold yet?  It was easy and a lot of fun, so I hope you do.

Thoughts of You

Stamping is such therapy for all sorts of ills. It doesn't "fix" things, but it certainly allows whatever I am feeling to take its course and allows a calmness to return. Yesterday a dear friend passed away and making this sympathy card for his wife helped me with all the emotions I was feeling. Does creating something do that for you? It's a blessing and a help,
I think!

This was a simple card to make. I used the Reverse Masking Technique by cutting a circle frame and then sponging on the inside with Spun Sugar Distress Ink. I kept the frame intact and stamped my group of flowers from Long Stemmed Silhouettes from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps, then removed the frame and stamped the sentiment so it would be part way out of the sponged circle. I added some Pink Pearl Bling and a little Coloring Book Butterfly Brad from Eyelet Outlet for embellishments.

I hope that whatever you create today brings you joy -- and peace!
