Susan's Top 5 Favorites of 2025

2025 was a difficult year for me in many respects, but thanks to my faith, family, and friends, I got through it. This card rose to the top of my favorites list because it's been sort of my motto this year and because I've always loved our little pig brad! And here he is flying high in the clouds, against all odds!

I enjoyed making a number of hoosier cabinet cards last year and Eyelet Outlet products took all of them over the top! I especially loved this potting bench version featuring our daisy brads, cactus brad, and garden tool brads.

The popular Eyelet Outlet leaf brads have long been a favorite of mine and I loved using the regular size as well as the mini ones to embellish this darling water color image of children jumping into a pile of fall leaves. And the rake leaning against the tree is a real bonus!

We rolled out our  dancing hippos in 2025 and they were such fun! Pair them with a few balloon brads, and you've got a happy way to celebrate a special day!

This was a fun birthday card for my brother. The "little cooler" brads are so great! I used some of awesome wide grass washi tape and a sun and cloud brad, too.

Keeping It Cool for Father's Day

Father's Day is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the amazing dads in our lives. This year, I decided to whisk Dad away to a relaxing beach scene with a handmade card that's as fun as a day by the ocean!

To create this tranquil getaway, I stamped the perfect sandy beach, calm water, a comfy chair, a colorful umbrella, and graceful palm trees. It really set the stage for a day of relaxation!

No beach scene is complete without the perfect accessories, and that's where Eyelet Outlet brads come in! I decorated the card with a variety of fun shapes: a cheerful Sun Brad, red Star Brad, a charming Boat Brad, cool Sunglass Brad, laid-back Flip Flop Brads, and a handy Cooler Brad. These little details bring the whole scene to life.

The sentiment truly captures the relaxed vibe: "Happy Father's Day! May your cooler stay full and your feet stay sand-free (mostly)." It's a playful wish for a perfect day.

The Grillfather

It's time to begin our Father's Day projects and Eyelet Outlet has you covered! I often hear crafters express difficulty coming up with ideas for masculine cards and tags, but one browse through our website and inspiration will abound, I promise. And quite often when you click on one of our products you'll find inspiration projects, too.

When I saw the "Grillfather" image in Cricut Design Space recently, I knew right away I had to have some fun with it. For this tag, I used a bit of our amazing grass washi tape, a summer tree brad, the cooler brad and a grill brad. The cute man is also a Cricut image and I used print then cut for him and pop dots to give the tag even more dimension.

A Little Cooler

Need a birthday card for someone that's really cool? Well, here it is! This is going to be perfect for my brother who is a little older, a little wiser and a little cooler than anyone I know!

I created this little scene with a strip of our wonderful grass washi tape, a sun and cloud brad and of course a LITTLE COOLER brad!

Time for a BBQ!

Is it just me or does it seem as though we skipped over spring and went straight to summer? We've already had several barbecues and it isn't even Memorial Day yet. Those barbecues gave me the inspiration to create this cute, inexpensive, and functional silverware caddy that is perfect for any BBQ.

 

I started out with just a plain wood box that I purchased from the dollar store along with some cute BBQ themed napkins (I do admit the napkins were a bit busy- but it was perfect for what I was going for!).

I cut out all the cute BBQ items from the napkins.

I then decoupaged the cut out pieces onto the wood box and let it sit overnight. 

 

The next morning, it was time for the fun to begin and to Add all my embellishments from Eyelet outlet.

I added multiple brads such as the Beer Brads, the Cooler and Soda Brads and BBQ Apron and BBQ Brads over all four sides and pop-dotted them on for dimension.

 

I purchased some dollar store plastic silverware, wrap them in a basic napkin, and sealed them with the Wide Sky Washi Tape and the Wide Wood Washi Tape.

This little BBQ caddy was so much fun to make and is not only cute but is also practical and I guarantee it will be the talk of the BBQ table!

Peaceful Camping Scene

 It's going to be several months before a scene like this can be reality. The cold makes me think of warmer days and nights like this one. I love camping when the sky is dark but glittering with stars and the shadows of the forest seem mystical and a bit magical.

This card was made from a file from the Silhouette Design Store. Once I printed and cut it, I cut it again with inside out scallop dies so that I could get this pretty framing effect. To make this printed scene even better, I added a Campfire and a Lantern Brad from the Camping Brad set. The cooler is from the Cooler and Soda Brad set. Finally I added some clear jewels over some of the bulbs in the printed hanging lights. The effect all together is very pretty.

Rum & Cola

Have you seen the new brads from Eyelet Outlet?   Today I've used one of the new Eyelet Outlet soda brads and also a lime wedge from the new fruit brad set to create a fun little love note.

The rum bottle is a Cricut image that I modified a bit.  Rum & Cola is such a popular drink here in Texas, that I thought denim and bandana digital paper would go great with this theme. I used the offset feature in Cricut Design Space to make my sentiment pop with a black shadow.  Black enamel hearts for a final touch.

You're SODA Cute!

 I think you'll agree, Eyelet Outlet's new Soda brads are SODA CUTE, aren't they?! I had fun using these darling stick figures by Heather Roberts, a Cricut Contributing Artist.

As I often do, I added a few enamel hearts in a complementary color . Eyelet Outlet has them in every color you can think of!

It's a Soda, Pop!

What could be more appropriate for Father's Day than an absolutely diabolical "Dad Joke"?! Especially one created specifically to show off our brand new, super-fun Eyelet Outlet Cooler and Soda Brads! The first part of the sentiment is computer generated (this free font is called Modern Typewriter) and the second part is diecut, then adorned with brads. A mat of Multicolored Dot Tape and some white Round Sequins emphasize the bubbly aspect of carbonation, and finish off the design.

Have you seen the rest of the new 2023 Eyelet Outlet Brads? The Lemonade & Fruit Set and Driving Brads have also joined our Rose, Cactus and Cruise Brads from earlier this year and all of those (plus LOTS more) are available in the EO Online Store.

World's Best POP

There's new brads at Eyelet Outlet!  I've been enjoying the new soda cans and cooler brads a LOT!  

I couldn't resist making a little gift tag with one of the "POP" cans!  I also added a couple of heart brads, a star enamel shape to the little boy's shirt and a gem to the flower on the little girl's shirt.
