Peaceful Camping Scene

It's going to be several months before a scene like this can be reality. The cold makes me think of warmer days and nights like this one. I love camping when the sky is dark but glittering with stars and the shadows of the forest seem mystical and a bit magical.

This card was made from a file from the Silhouette Design Store. Once I printed and cut it, I cut it again with inside out scallop dies so that I could get this pretty framing effect. To make this printed scene even better, I added a Campfire and a Lantern Brad from the Camping Brad set. The cooler is from the Cooler and Soda Brad set. Finally I added some clear jewels over some of the bulbs in the printed hanging lights. The effect all together is very pretty.

Jump for Joy

Still trying to sneak in a few spring themes before the summer hits.
I loved this image from Hetty Clair of the jump roping bunnies.
It was colored with Copic Markers and the sky was done
with water color. I changed the daffodils in the image
to daisies with brads from Eyelet Outlet.
I also used some super cute rabbit brads from the store.

I added a small strip of gold glitter washi tape. Then I
punched the bottom of the frame and added some
jewel bling. All of these embellishments are also carried
at Eyelet Outlet.

Jar of Hearts

Valentine's Day is approaching soon. Everyone always loves to
receive a valentine be it from a family member, friend or neighbor.
I loaded this one up with lots of great embellishments
from Eyelet Outlet.

I stamped the jar and lightly shaded the inside. I then stamped some
hearts and added the Eyelet Outlet enamel stick-on hearts (pink). The package
comes with multi-colored hearts which is perfect

Next I added the Love washi tape to the card. Bling clear gems adorned the
top of the card and I used the white flowers that come in packages
of multipe sizes that can be layerd. I added a brad to the center
of the flower and now my card is ready to send off.

Christmas Tree Season

Do you feel the spirit yet? Nothing says Christmas more than a decorated Christmas tree! In this 5 x 7 card, I began by die cutting the word tree die cut out of green cardstock. I layered a rectangle of white cardstock with the Ho Ho Let It Snow Washi Tape and cut it with a die. Then I layered Sparkle White Glitter Washi Tape on another rectangle and glued the green tree to it. I fussy cut around the tree shape and attached it to the red washi tape background. This allows the die cut to stand out on the red background.

Next I cut the larger background shape in white cardstock and adhered the main images together. I chose to use a dark red premade 5 x 7 card base from Michaels. I thought it needed more to fill in some of the blank spots so I added a strip of Tree Washi Tape and a strip of gold metallic washi tape. That is one of the rolls in a set of Skinny Holiday Washi Tapes

It was time to decorate the tree so I added all the various brads and bling shown in the Shopping List below. I love how this turned out. The brads enhance the tree die cut but don't overwhelm it.

Cardinals for the Holidays

I am thrilled to finally get a chance to use the red cardinal brads
from Eyelet Outlet. We frequently see red cardinals in our backyard
and are always amazed by their brilliant color.

For this card, I first stamped an ornament from Our Daily Bread.
I colored it in with Copics then cut it out and added a red bow.
The red cardinal brads really show up nice on just stark white.
But I felt I needed to add to the corners and I added the Bird Pine washi tape
from Eyelet Outlet. It is perfect for holiday cards. I finished the
corners with the new tree brads from Eyelet Outlet and some bling.

Holiday Ornaments

These are some fun ornaments to make using white porcelain
ornaments and alcohol inks. All the pretty sparkle is courtesy of
Eyelet Outlet and their wonderful jewel bling.

The white porcelain ornaments can often be found at craft stores
or ordered from on-line. I used various colors of alcohol inks including the
metallic colors. I made my own bows then added single jewels in clear
and the XL Snowflake Bling.

They are easy to make and I often use them as hostess gifts too.
They have lots of sparkle so give them a try.

The best part are the cute new Santa brads from the Eyelet Outlet.
I used them going down Santa's shirt along with some clear jewels.
The collar also has some super cute Santa brad boots from Eyelet Outlet.

The bag is not difficult to make just a lot of measuring, taping and scoring.
There are lots of templates on the Internet. I am

Christmas Gnomes Camping

This was fun holiday card I created with a camper decked out for the holidays.
I colored it with Copics and then added a lot of gnomes from our new
Christmas brad collection. The gnomes seems to be having a grand
time at their campground.

The tree are also brads in the new collection and I really like the
snow effect on them. There are clear gems on all
the snowflakes for a little sparkle.

Finally at the bottom you will notice some Merry Christmas Washi Tape
from the Eyelet Outlet. There are lots of fabulous Washi Tapes in the store
so  be sure to check them out when you have a moment.

I Want Candy

It is getting close to holidays like Halloween. Unfortunately I no longer
get trick or treaters. No even one. Previously our Bichon was excited about
Halloween and always ran to the door to greet the kids.

At least I can get into the spirit by making a card. I started by stamping
first on plain white paper and then on patterned paper. I fussy
cut the outfit and hat and then glued them on the image.

Copics were used to fill in the hair and face.
I also used clear jewels from the Eyelet Outlet to sparkle up the
bottom of her dress and hat. I framed the image and added
orange paper and patterned paper. I  attached a sign that said "I Want Candy"
and added green square jewels. Finally I added a decorated jewel
and pearl strip to the top and bottom of the card.

Cardinal Christmas Card

Hey everybody! Have you started on your Christmas cards yet? It's never too early to start, lol! I've been cranking out Mother's Day and Father's Day cards, and a few Christmas cards in between. This Christmas card in traditional red and gray features our Cardinal Brads and Cardinal Profile Brads along with Clear Jewel Bling. This was a fun card to put together and involved putting to good use two leftover chipboard ornament pieces I had on my desk from another project.

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from heavyweight white cardstock along with a layering panel from a gray snowflake pattern and a red foil cardstock strip which I adhered to the card front. I added Clear Jewel Bling to the center of each snowflake, and then adhered a silver foiled sentiment toward the bottom.

I colored the chipboard pieces with alcohol markers, added a Cardinal Brad and a Cardinal Profile Brad, and adhered the embellishment to the top left corner.

I cut the inside panel from layering weight white cardstock and embellished it with strips of the snowflake pattern and red foil cardstock used on the front. I added another silver foiled sentiment and layered the panel on red cardstock.

Pun-y Breakfast Artist Trading Cards and Coins!

Hello, Eyelet Outlet fans! I hope you've had a great week! Leslie here, sharing a super fun set of four artist trading cards and coins, created with the coordinating Breakfast Stamps and Bacon Egg & Toast Brads, along with Blue Jewel Bling, Clear Jewel Bling, Green Jewel Bling and Gray Enamel Dots! You just can't go wrong with stamps and brads that coordinate with each other!

I cut and punched the card and coin bases (two for each ATC) from white cardstock along with some patterned paper layers. I adhered the patterned paper layers to the bases to make the four ATCs, stamped the sentiments from Breakfast Stamps on each one, and added the Bacon Egg & Toast Brads. I then added Blue Jewel Bling, Clear Jewel Bling, Green Jewel Bling and Gray Enamel Dots and adhered the extra base on the back of each ATC for stability.

Set of Butterfly Notelets

Hello, Eyelet Outlet fans! I hope you've had a great week! Leslie here, sharing a pretty set of six 'hello' notelets featuring our oh-so-gorgeous Butterfly & Bird Cage Wide Washi Tape and Butterfly Brads, along with our Copper Foil Washi Tape and Clear Jewel Bling. These were super easy and look so elegant!

I used pre-made 3-1/2" x 5" note cards and envelopes. I covered six small squares with Butterfly & Bird Cage Wide Washi Tape, cut them with a postage stamps die, then layered each one on a slightly larger brown cardstock square. I cut six more squares from light brown cardstock, covered the edges with Copper Foil Washi Tape, and adhered a layered square to each one. I cut six strips from the light brown cardstock, added the copper washi tape, and adhered one strip to each card base. I added a Butterfly Brad to each square and then adhered them to the card bases. I stamped 'hello' in brown ink on each card and added Clear Jewel Bling that I colored with a brown alcohol marker. I left the inside of each blank, as these are notelets.

Christmas in July With Eyelet Outlet - Week 2

Let's continue with our "Christmas in July" posts today with a couple more Christmas tags, shall we?

The Eyelet Outlet Poinsettia Brads are one of my favorites in the Holiday collection.  They always remind me of my dear aunt.  She worked at a florist when I was a little girl I loved visiting her at work and seeing the rows and rows of poinsettias in the green house.

Eyelet Outlet has so many gorgeous types of bling!  Here I've used clear swirl bling, clear teardrop bling and a simple gem in the center of my snowflake for a very elegant look.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Be sure to follow Eyelet Outlet on Facebook and Instagram and if you can, visit our booth at a trade show near you!  Eyelet Outlet will be in Chantilly, VA June 22-23 for the Scrapbook Expo.

Wedding Wishes

Hi, folks!  It's Kim from Katydid Cards.

June, the time for weddings!  And for the wedding and bridal shower cards, too.  Here's a shower card made with three of Eyelet Outlet's latest brad releases; the Wedding Brads (Ring and Champagne Glass) and the Dress Brads.

I made a gatefold card with soft colors and patterns which served as the perfect backdrop for the brads.  The alternating banners make for a unique opening.

A closer look at the brads reveals I added some Jewel Bling for the diamond with some additional bling around the "bubbly".  The dress brad comes in an assortment of colors, but I wanted my bride to wear white.  Fortunately, these brads take heat embossing like a champ.  After I attached the dress to the banner, I tucked a tiny bit of tulle as the veil with another jewel for the headpiece.

Inside, the Silver Bell Brads were just the right accompaniment to the sentiment.

After the shower come the nuptials and here's my second card helping to celebrate the big day.  In addition to the same Bell Brads in Gold this time, I used the Cross Brads, Glitter Gold Enamel Dots, and Color Wheel Washi Tape as my "stained glass" window.  The roof and doors were covered with Chalk Board Washi Tape.

The front doors open to reveal the greeting.

And here's the inside of the card.

After the wedding, there's the reception!  And it wouldn't be complete without a wedding cake.  Here's my 3D version using the Fancy Long Bling with Pearls and Jewels.  There are those Bells again together with the Glitter Dot Washi.

The used the Glitter Washi as my color inspiration and even tinted the Pearls in the bling using Copic markers.  They take color beautifully.

When you're thinking weddings, think Eyelet Outlet for not only cards but decorations, favors, wrapping and scrapbook layouts to capture the memories.

I hope you enjoyed these wedding cards...see you next week with something new!
