Celebrating Witchy Summerween

 

Some in the card world have coined the phrase Summerween to celebrate the Halloween season in the middle of the year. Here's one of my favorite Halloween cards made while on the EO Design Team. This is a pull tab pop-up card. Pull down the tab which cleverly warns, "Do not pull" and a witch pops up from behind the gravestone. Super fun and clever.

What makes this card really pop are the many EO brads of the season. Pumpkins, witch hats, black cats, bats and more make this one a lot of fun. Hope you enjoyed a flash into both the past and the future to celebrate the Halloween season!

Yummy Pumpkin Cake

Recipe scrapbooking is where my paper crafting journey began back in 2009 and when I started looking for cute embellishments for this craft, my search led me to Eyelet Outlet. This is the time of year we often take a dish to holiday gatherings and when I do I like to take along the recipe for the host. This little recipe pocket is embellished with Eyelet Outlet pumpkin brads and a little wooden spoon brad.

This recipe didn't want to fit well on one card, so I ended up with two cards, the first card is done front and back.

Thanksgiving Place Cards

 

Hello Crafty Friends - I love this time of year, cooler weather and magical holidays.  Today I am sharing Thanksgiving place cards.  Eyelet Outlet has festive products you can use for your holiday crafting.

I cut out two sizes of rectangles to make the base and layering piece of the place cards and alphabet dies for the names.  Then I used the pumpkin brads, stippled jewel brads, jewel bling, and a Thanksgiving washi tape to decorate the place cards.  I picked up the Thanksgiving washi tape from the Eyelet Outlet booth at an expo.  While that particular washi tape is not available on the website, there are several other washi tapes to use instead, for example the gnome fall washi tape.

Fall Soap Box Gift

One way I love to use Eyelet Outlet's brads are on packages, boxes and other 3D items. Today's project is a foaming hand soap box that I decorated with several brads to give this box an elevated look.

The box was cut on my Cricut machine. After assembling it, I went to work putting on my embellishments. In the center of the bow, I added a Pumpkin Brad. Working down from there on the box, you'll see a Truck Brad on the felt leaf. At the bottom of the box window, I included a Sunflower Brad, another Pumpkin Brad, and a Gnome Brad. 

What do you think? I loved how this turned out so much, I have decided to make several more of this style for holiday gifts. They'd be perfect as a small token of appreciation to a hostess during the season of gatherings and parties! Good thing there's lots of holiday brads and bling to choose from in the EO store!

Trick or Treat

It's almost time to Trick or Treat and these adorable critters are ready to go! Any set of adorable characters can be dressed up for Halloween, Christmas or a birthday party with a few Eyelet Outlet brad styles. The mummy bear has donned a Mustache Brad; the unicorn kitty is sporting a Tiara and Eye Glass Brads; the dashing dachshund has his Top Hat on and has invited a Long Dog friend to accompany him. Some Black Cat Brads obviously wanted to join the party and it would hardly be a spooky occasion without Bat and Pumpkin Brads. Thee handsome Frog Brad is wearing a Witch's Hat... or possibly... a powerful witch has been temporarily turned into a frog? Either way, this Boo Crew is definitely going to collect lots of candy and maybe win some prizes at the costume party! Hello, Fall

Thankful Fall

Fall is so much fun to craft. I love using fall colors and textures and today's card was super fun to put together. This is a simple fancy fold which results in a pop-up middle portion. It folds flat for mailing and a panel can be added to the back for a sentiment and note.

I decorated this fall card with several EO brads and bling. I placed three Butterfly Brads, one on each panel. Two Pumpkin Brads and a Sunflower rest under the mushroom die cut. I added a lovely Acorn from the Acorn and Squirrel Brad set. Last I added Orange Cut Jewel Bling and yellow Glitter Enamels on the panels and as spots on the mushroom.

Fall Days Scrapbook Page

We share a lot of cardmaking projects here at Eyelet Outlet, but don't forget that our products are fabulous embellishments for scrapbooking!

I created this page in Cricut Design Space. I used felt and burlap to create the scarecrow and embellished his hat with a stitched flower brad.  

For the title I added a few of our popular leaf brads in fall colors as well as a scarecrow brad. No fall page would be complete without a few of our wonderful pumpkin brads.

Happy Halloween

'Tis the day before Halloween and all through the blog, Jack-o-lanterns, Witches and Bats are a-stirring! Autumn Wreath

I love a wreath card and Eyelet Outlet products make them super easy to create for all seasons. Today's make has a fall vibe with our amazing leaf brads. There's 4 different leaves in the set - a green one, as well as oak and maple leaves in fall colors. I also used a few from the mini leaf brad set near the sentiment. They're exactly like the larger ones I used on the wreath, but in an adorable mini size!

I also added an acorn brad and some sunflowers to the wreath, a couple of our very popular pumpkin brads as well as a squirrel brad.
