Chevron Birthday

Today I'm playing with what I call *washi paper*.  I covered a 6" x 7 1/2" piece of white cardstock with Chevron Washi Tape.  When it was covered, I trimmed the paper down to 5" x 6 1/2" for my card base.

This Chevron Washi Tape works particularly well for this technique since it's easy to line-up the pieces using the chevron pattern.

For my focal image, I covered a second piece of white cardstock with the tape angled in the same direction, so I could die cut my Die-Versions Party Hats.  I assembled my card using a sketch from the TGIF Challenges.

I embellished with some turquoise enamel dots and a Hero Arts Birthday Messages Sentiment to finish the design.

  1. Oh my goodness this is AWESOME, who would have thought to die cut washi tape. You are the Washi Queen and I am going to try this. That tape is perfect for a birthday bash card.
