Washi 4 Ways

Good morning!  This is Rebecca, and I'm always happy to start the weekend with a "Welcome to Saturday" here on the blog!

This week I decided to get back to some page making.  The last page I made for the blog (my first project a few weeks ago) showed 5 ways to use bling strips. So today I thought I'd go with that theme and highlight another favorite with Washi 4 Ways.

1. First I used washi to make the border all around the page. I used a mix of wide, narrow and regular widths, but I also tore some of the pieces to create some irregular edges. I added dots and brads for embellishment clusters around the border, too.

2. I used a couple of the same tapes to make a coordinating matte for the picture.

3. I used a die to punch the "city" letters from strips of Foil Rainbow Washi

4. And I put these cameras on some scrap white paper, fussy cut the shapes, and then stacked them (with foam tape between the layers) to make a raised embellishment. The cameras on this tape have various sayings, and this one, "You smile. I smile.," went along with my title.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today!
