PUR-FECT Birthday

If you're a cat lover like me, you're definitely going to want to check out all the cat and kitten brads we have at Eyelet Outlet! You'll find them under the Animal Eyelets and Brads section on our website.

For this PUR-FECT birthday card I used these cat brads as well as the cat brads in black and the kitten brads.

I love the way the two cats on the left are peeking and the little kitten brad is playing with the balloon. I hope his sharp little claws don't pop it and scare him!  🤣 And as I often like to do, I added an enamel heart to the mix. The black heart was perfect paired with all my little black cats!

🧙‍♀️🎃 Gnome Mischief! Too Cute to Spook Witch Card

I don't know what it is about gnomes, but they sure are cute! Dress them up for any holiday, and they just make you smile. Today, I'm featuring two adorable, witchy gnomes who are far too cute to scare!

This is a 5" x 7" card. To start, I used a pre-printed card base featuring an orange, black, and white background. I printed and cut out the cute gnome image from my computer, then created a matching orange mat. On top of that, I layered a black lace mat, which was then topped with an orange scalloped mat.

Next, I placed two strips of Cat Black Washi Tape as a top and bottom border. It's such a simple way to add more pattern and texture! I rounded opposite corners of the card for a little extra interest before placing the gnome image in the center.

I added a stamped sentiment and accented it with a Gnome Brad. Finally, I enhanced the printed image with several other Eyelet Outlet brads, including Candy Corn, Cat Brads, and a Witch Hat, to complete the spooky-cute look!

Pet Sympathy

This is never my favorite type of card to make, but sadly sometimes pet sympathy cards are needed and always appreciated by the recipient.

For this card, I used one of the cats from the Eyelet Outlet Cat Brads set. I also accentuated the corners of the card with some light pink enamel hearts. I added a strip of solid black washi tape across the bottom of the card, and then brought the light pink theme back into play with an organza bow.

Hang In ThereI

I'm so crazy about these new cat brads at Eyelet Outlet!  I couldn't wait to start creating with them!

I created this window with curtains in Cricut Design Space and added the cat brads climbing on the window blinds.  If you are a Cricut crafter, too, I've shared the file for this card on my Cricut Profile.  Here's a link to the project

Home Is Where Your Heart Is

Over our lives, many of us move to different cities, states, or even countries. This is true for my family as we've lived all over the world. Although every new location is different, there is always one thing that remains the same…Home is where your heart is.  This heartfelt card was made to remind us of just that.

I created it by layering several different shapes of card stock and then added the beautiful sentiment on front. I decorated the sentiment with an Eyelet Outlet Wreath Brad and an adorable white Cat Brad which makes the scene all the more welcoming.

The outer edges of the sentiment have orange Jewel Bling for sparkle.

The outside corners of the card have round Pearl Brads in silver and navy blue and the three cardstock wreaths in the middle each have an orange Jewel Bling to bring the sparkle throughout the card.

Wherever life brings you and whatever travels are in your future always remember that home is where your heart is.

Meow Means I Love You

It's always fun to create a scene using Eyelet Outlet Brads, Washi and Bling. I used a stencil and inks to get the fun blended background and a fence die cut from Cricut Design Space. Then I heat embossed the sentiments with black and copper embossing powders. Once that was complete, I added all the fabulous brads and sky washi for the border. It was so quick and simple to make this and EO's products make all the difference! How boring would it be without them? This is such a fun way to remind someone you love them. Leslie's Valentine/Love Favs!

Hey everybody! I hope you've had a great week! Leslie here, sharing a few more of my favorite projects created with our awesome Eyelet Outlet products! We've been asked to share three of our favorite Valentine/Love projects this time, so before I do that, let me side-track you for a minute. My husband and I are Crazy Cat People. We rescue kittens and cats (present count right now is 18) and we call them our kids, lol! We have 11 inside that enjoy the outdoors in their catio, and seven more ferals/semi-ferals that live in our shed in our fenced back yard with an attached catio. Our four human kids are grown and in their mid- to late-30s with kids of their own, so we've been empty-nesters for quite some time. So, with all this said, two of my three favorites are cat-themed cards! The truth is we love all kinds of animals, so even with one dog-themed card included here, it would be difficult to list these in any kind of 'favorite' order!

My first fav is this awesome kitty card which I created in one of my favorite color combos of black and white with a pop of red. I paired our Cat Brads with our Glitter Black Washi Tape to create this purrfect Valentine or anniversary card!

My second fav is this adorable card featuring our Dog Brads and Kennel Mix Brads which I paired with our Grass Washi TapeSummer Tree Brads and Sun/Cloud Brads to create a fun scene. I also used a Paw Brad on the inside.

And my third fav is this super cute 'feline good' card which I created in a rose and burgundy color combo and features our
Fox & Flowers Wide Washi Tape on the background. I also used our Feline Brads which I paired with a Pink Enamel Heart and White Pearl Bling. As you can tell, this inside sentiment is one of my favorites and gets used a lot! ;)

Thanks so much for stopping by today - we'll see you next time!

Halloween Treat Boxes

Halloween will be here before you know it, so I've started on treat boxes for the kiddos in my life!

First up is an adorable Frankenstein treat dispenser.  This file is from My Scrap Chick and comes in SVG as well as PDF formats, so you don't need to own a die cut machine to make this one.

As soon as I saw this file I knew I'd have to embellish it with Eyelet Outlet Screw brads!

This little tombstone box was made on my Cricut.  The box portion is from Cricut's Happy Hauntings image set.  I welded the tree and moon image to the back of the box and it's from Creepy Critters.  I added an Eyelet Outlet bat brad to the moon.  The little ghost brad is hovering overhead as well and the black cat brad is strolling by on the moonlit night. I thought fun size packages of Reese's Pieces would be perfect for this sentiment!

Be sure and check out Eyelet Outlet's holiday section for more great brads for the fall and winter season!

Kitty Love

Hello, Eyelet Outlet fans! I hope you've had a great week! Leslie here sharing a fun kitty card that would make a purrfect Valentine or anniversary card! I created this in one of my favorite color combos of black and white with just a pop of red, but it would be super cute in any color combo!

I covered the front panel in vertical strips of Glitter Black Washi Tape. I added two Cat Brads to the lower right corner and adhered the panel to the card base. I punched two small hearts from red cardstock and adhered them above the cat brads. I stamped the sentiment in red ink on white cardstock, trimmed it and adhered it across the top of the panel to finish the card front.

Thanks so much for stopping by today - we'll see you next time!

Inspired by... Catalogs?

Ideas can literally come from ANYWHERE, but one of my (Lauren's) --perhaps surprising-- sources are the silly t-shirts in novelty catalogs. I can't actually imagine BUYING such a shirt, but it's unusual for me to flick through and not see something I think would make a fun card. In this case, since I knew I had a couple of varieties of Eyelet Outlet Brads which would work perfectly (Kitten Brads and Long Cats) I've made two!

EDITED:  Lauren has generously shared her quote in two fonts on the Freebie page...check the tab at the top of the blog! Thanks, Lauren!!

I've used the Kitten Brads as accents quite a few times (especially on Halloween cards!) but I'm glad they are finally getting their starring role. I made a base of Coloring Book Washi, mounted it on a panel of Big Dot Tape and finally added a small pink heart from the Multicolor Enamel Set. My sentiment is in a free font called AR Cena.

My second card uses a free font called AR Bonnie because I liked how its super skinny line paired perfectly with the Long Cat Brads. These guys are on clearance, which is happy because they're only $1.09 but sad because when we run out, they won't be coming back. I matted the sentiment on a panel with Geometric Tape and made the background from Paw Tape.

I hope you'll be inspired by something random and wonderful today... and then I bet we have some Eyelet Outlet Brads and Tape that will help make it into the perfect card!

is pretty sure she gets
EVERY catalog in the world!

Do Not Enter!

Good morning crafters!  Today I've got another Halloween card for you featuring Eyelet Outlet Cat Brads.

The moon scene is from printable background from Cricut's Halloween Night image set and the "Do Not Enter" gate is from the Mini Monster's image set. Then I topped the gate with 3 of the black cats from the Cat Brad set.

The package contains both black and white cats in three different poses.  This card was so quick and easy and I love the way the brads give it so much extra interest.

Blue Screen of Death

I'm not sure how cats got a reputation of being aloof.  Our two are anything but!  Our oldest cat not only wants to be close by, she wants to be in the middle of whatever I'm doing at my craft table, so this card is obviously inspired by her!

Among the new spring brads recently released at Eyelet Outlet is this nifty computer brad. I added a small scrap of blue vinyl to the screen for this card.  Eyelet Outlet has several great cat and kitten brads.  This one is comes in a set of black and white cats in several different poses.

The desk is from Cricut's "Sentimentals" image set.  I used tiny 1/16th Eyelet Outlet round brads for the drawer pulls.  These tiny brads come in so handy in my card making.  They come in lots of colors, too, so stock up because you never know when they will the perfect touch of dimension to your project.

Thanks for being here today.  Check back often because you won't want to miss projects featuring the new spring brads by our talented team of designers!

Witches!! (and more)

Hi there!  It's Kim from Katydid Cards with you today.

Last week I shared a few cards featuring Eyelet Outlet's new Ghost Brads.  Today I have two more to share with you in which witches figure prominently.  That doesn't mean I didn't take advantage of some other great brads like the Ghosts, Pumpkins, Cats, Witch Hat, and Witch Legs brads AND a sneak peek of another newly released brad...the Broom!  (And wait 'til you see what else is in that package!)

First up is a shaped card created using a cut file purchased in the Silhouette store.  The witch silhouette is also from the store...I cut and sized her to fit perfectly on the flying broom.  The pumpkins come in two different colors for variety and look great together AND they are a perfect perch for the black cat peering through the gate what lies beyond.  I used Silver Glitter Enamel Dots on the gate as an accent.

When you open the gates...if you dare...you are greeted by a trio of ghosts.  Maybe they came from the graveyard!  Did I scare you?

Next, we have a little play on words which incorporates the witch hat and legs( and that adorable boom again).  I changed and rearranged a title from the Silhouette store and then color matched it to the brads.  It's triple matted and peeks through the opening from inside the card.  Gold Glitter Enamel Stars surround the opening with two bat brads at the bottom to finish.

You won't want to miss what the other Eyelet Outlet designers are making, so why not take a moment to follow us on Flickr or Instagram!  And if you like more details, you can find them here on Eyelet Outlet's blog.

Crazy Cat Lady?

TGIF crafty friends!  Susie here with a card for the cat lover in all of us!   This sentiment from The Project Bin just makes me giggle - if we aren't that person we know that person, right?  Time to play...

I found a stamp in my stash of a little girl that was exactly the right size for a black Cat Brad!

She was stamped with Archival Ink then water colored.

I added strips of washi tape to the left of my tiny little cat lover and then topped off that embellishment cluster with one of the newly released Paw Brads.

I created a card base with black cardstock and added a pink background to coordinate with the pink balloon.

What Are You to Your Pet?

I love the new Paw brads from Eyelet Outlet. They are a bit rugged (like a wild animal's paws) but also seem fitting for cats and dogs.

Eyelet Outlet also has some fun Cat and Dog brads. So.... I used all three to make this card with the fun computer-generated saying on it.

To a dog you're family.
To a cat you're staff.
