Holiday Pop Up Greeting!

Hi everyone! Happy Thanksgiving week! With it being so late, I'm feeling the need to really kick my holiday card making into high gear. I need to make cards that are quick and look like it took more time than it did. I have a die set that makes an easel card and I have some nice quality holiday ephemera. Using the die set and ephemera makes quick work out of a complicated looking card base and the ephemera means I don't have to do any coloring or other time consuming prep.

This card folds flat but then pops up into an easel card which reveals more decorations inside. I used three different patterned papers in the same color way to further add interest and color. It's embellished  with several Christmas brads, glitter washi tape, and lots of bling from Eyelet Outlet. Using EO embellishments adds a lot to your cards without adding a lot of time. You can't ask for more! The washi border and mat for Santa was easy to do with the included dies in the card set. My short cuts still made an elegant card that I'll be proud to give it to any of my friends and family.

Winter Wishes

We are in the heart of winter and my thoughts are on quiet snowy nights where the snow dampens all the sound and nature dominates a magical world. My card is in memory of those peaceful evenings when I lived in Minnesota and North Dakota.

I've made a card with a domed snow globe. Inside are silver Snowflake Sequins, Deer Brads and Tree Snow Brads. The wintery globe background is Sparkle White Glitter Washi Tape and Glitter Star Washi Tape. The card mat is cardstock lined with Deer Washi Tape. I added Snowflake Bling for decoration. This comes in white, red and green but the white is perfect for this card.

Skiing Snowman and Friends

Hello everyone and Merry Christmas in July! I always enjoy crafting for Christmas in July and in a way, it's a kick-off to Christmas crafting as we all know it can take a while to get all the Christmas crafts and cards you want done in time for December.

Today I have a cute snowman enjoying the slopes. The snow is created by using Glitter Star Washi Tape. This may be a whimsical choice but I like it. Seems two little Penguins like it too! The sky is filled with Snowflake Brads and Snowflake Bling in white. It's a perfect wintery scene, especially in the heat of summer. It makes me feel a little cooler just looking at it.

I Love Ewe

I always have a great time with Valentine's Day cards. I think it's so fun to use funny puns and jokes. I guess it reminds me of all those valentine cards I used to get at school. Today is a Valentine in that spirit.

For some reason, I get a kick out of making a valentine that at first glance might look elegant and romantic. However, a closer look hopefully promotes a chuckle or at least a smile. This one features EO's Pig and Sheep Brads. One Ewe (female sheep) is in the clouds with our Sun and Clouds Brads and Glitter Star Washi Tape. The LOVE letters were cut from chipboard covered with Daisy Washi Tape. The pattern on these letters create chipboard letters I would never be able to have otherwise. Finally I added another Ewe and Heart Enamels-Pink. To make it just a little more interesting, I used a 3D embossing folder to create the textured background. The "ewe" sentiment was stamped using individual letter stamps.

Happiest of Holidays!

Hello EO fans! I'm here with a holiday card for you today. I'm in full holiday mode already and I'm having a blast making these for my Christmas card mailing next month. It'll be here before I know it!

This is a window card. There is a circle cut into the middle of the card base. Inside I placed green cardstock. I then used a decorative circle die to cut out the argyle patterned paper. Next I used a punch to cut out the white scalloped circle. I then used Glitter Star Washi Tape to cover a white square of cardstock. I punched this with a circle punch and glued it to the white scallop.

Now for the embellishments! I used a Sled Brad and Snow Couple Brad in the circle. I added a Sayings Bubble Brad that says Let it Snow. I put the completed white scallop in the middle of the green window with double-sided foam tape. Finally I added Snowflake Bling as the final touch.

Santa Clause Is Coming To Town!

Santa Clause is definitely coming to town! It's hard to believe that Christmas is less than a week away. Are you making last minute Christmas cards? I know I am! This was a fun one to make with a quick little watercolor window scene. The Santa and Snowman Couple Brads fit perfectly into the scene. The Gift Brads are a perfect accent to the stamped sentiment. I used two washi tapes on this card also. First the background to the window is Glitter Star Washi Tape. I also used Sparkle White Glitter Washi Tape under the die cut border.

I think this one was a great last minute project and it'll be popped into the mail on Monday. I hope you all have a great countdown to Christmas and that your holiday meets all your expectations!

Happy Creating Everyone!

Snowflake

Today's card entitled "Snowflake" is a simple but elegant card with lots and lots of bling!

.

The Eyelet Outlet Glitter Dark Blue Washi Tape creates the 'paper' for the snowflake die cut.  Strips of the tape are laid down side by side on cardstock and the Memory Box Extra Large Snowflake Die cuts through it beautifully.  The Eyelet Outlet Clear Sticky Back Jewels add just the right touch of sparkle and shine to the snowflake.

The Anna Griffin word die "believe' is placed at the bottom of the card.  Again, the Eyelet Outlet Glitter Star Washi Tape is laid down side by side on cardstock to create a 'paper'.  The word die cut provides an ombre effect complimenting the card.

Once the die cuts are completed,  distress inks create the mood of the card.  In this case, Speckled Egg is used in the center of the card and it fades out to Hickory Smoke along the edges.  The snowflake and word are glued down and the Eyelet Outlet Skinny Silver Washi Tape is applied to the card edges.

If you are looking for a fast, blingy holiday card, this may be the one for you!

Be Safe.  Be Well.  Happy Crafting!

Christmas Tree O Christmas Tree

Today I've brought out the washi tape to create this shimmering gift tag.  The tree is covered in Eyelet Outlet's very popular Glitter Star Washi tape, then some swirl bling brings even more shine.

I used the wood grain washi tape for the tree trunk and across the bottom I used silver glitter washi which I trimmed with my scissors to create the look of drifts of snow.

Peace On Earth

Hello, Eyelet Outlet fans! I hope you've had a great week! Leslie here sharing a beautiful Christmas card with just the right amount of sparkle! I hope you've been working on your Christmas card stash and have a good number of them done by now!

As I'm sure you've noticed, a standard A2 size top-folding card base is my "go-to" card base, so I cut one from white cardstock along with a red cardstock panel which I adhered to the front of the card base. I cut a small square white cardstock element that I covered with Glitter Star Washi Tape. I have a new birch tree window die in my stash so I cut one from white silver cardstock and adhered it to the front of the square element. I added a Cardinal Brad and a Cardinal Profile Brad along with a couple Snowflake Brads to the square element and adhered it to the card front. The finishing touch was the addition of several White Enamel Dots above the focal element. Thanks so much for stopping by today - we'll see you next time!
