The Merry Curio Cabinet

Hello Crafty Friends - Today I am sharing a Christmas curio cabinet card made with Eyelet Outlet's sleigh brads, snowman couple brads, santa & deer brads, snowflake brads, nutcracker brads, gingerbread brads, and candy cane brads.  Eyelet Outlet has adorable embellishments for your crafty projects.

I used a die to create the base for the curio cabinet.  Ink blending on brown cardstock creates the look of wood.  Coordinating pattern cardstock to fills in the "shelves".  I chose a variety of Christmas brads to fill in the cabinet.

This curio cabinet Christmas card reveals all the little details that make this season so magical.  Thank you for visiting the blog today.  I hope this inspires you to create a fun project using Eyelet Outlet products.  Please visit Eyelet Outlet for creative supplies and inspiration.

Merry & Bright Wreath

Hello Crafty Friends - This is absolutely my favorite time of the year!  Today I am sharing a Christmas wreath ornament made with Eyelet Outlet brads.

I created the wreath shape by twisting some pine garland into a circle.  For a little sparkle, I added a wire trim with some sequence and bling.  For the hanging element, I cut some Christmas ribbon, made a loop, and glued it to the back of the wreath.  The fun part was decorating the wreath with Eyelet Outlet brads.  I chose sleigh brads, ornament brads, and Santa & deer brads, but there are lots of options on the website.

This handmade ornament makes a thoughtful gift or add it as a decoration to a gift bag.  Thank you for visiting the blog today.  Please visit Eyelet Outlet for brads and other embellishments to add to your holiday projects.

I Want A Hippopotamus For Christmas

It's never too early to start on your Christmas cards! So let's get start thinking "Christmas in July!"

I've got a little music trivia for you this morning. The holiday song, "I Want a Hippopotamus For Christmas" debuted in 1953. It was performed by ten year old Gayla Peevy and reached #24 on Billboard Magazine's pop chart that year. It remains NUMBER ONE on my holiday playlist though!

It was quite obvious to me when I saw Eyelet Outlet's new hippo brads that I HAD to create a Christmas card that honored this classic holiday song! I decided on using a slider for this card. Ribbon or cardstock can be used for these, but today I opted for cardstock to attach the slider. Eyelet Outlet's Retro Christmas Tree brads were an obvious choice and the Santa brad with the retro feel was, as well. I added a snowflake brad and a gift brad, too, but the dancing hippo brad is definitely the star of the show!

Santa's Ready to Sleigh!

One of my favorite things about card making is making scenes. EO's washi tapes, brads, bling and other accessories really give us a lot to work with for making scenes. I created this one located at Santa's workshop in the North Pole. It looks chilly but warms my heart!

I used Glitter Winter Washi Tape, one of my favorites, to create the winter tree scene in the background. I used Aleene's True Snow with glitter sprinkled on the top for the snow part of the scene. While it dried, I stamped, colored and cut out Santa's Workshop and the light pole.

I added the stamped images to the card front and then all the brads. The true charm of this scene comes from Santa, his sleigh, a deer, a poinsettia on the light pole and snowy trees, and a Merry Christmas saying. It looks like Santa is ready to leave for his big night!

Holiday Pop Up Greeting!

Hi everyone! Happy Thanksgiving week! With it being so late, I'm feeling the need to really kick my holiday card making into high gear. I need to make cards that are quick and look like it took more time than it did. I have a die set that makes an easel card and I have some nice quality holiday ephemera. Using the die set and ephemera makes quick work out of a complicated looking card base and the ephemera means I don't have to do any coloring or other time consuming prep.

This card folds flat but then pops up into an easel card which reveals more decorations inside. I used three different patterned papers in the same color way to further add interest and color. It's embellished  with several Christmas brads, glitter washi tape, and lots of bling from Eyelet Outlet. Using EO embellishments adds a lot to your cards without adding a lot of time. You can't ask for more! The washi border and mat for Santa was easy to do with the included dies in the card set. My short cuts still made an elegant card that I'll be proud to give it to any of my friends and family.

Joyous Wreath

Hi everyone! I love wreaths and based on how many I see on card making sites, lots of others like them too. Since I am making cards for Christmas mailings, here's my first wreath card of the season. I had a lot of fun making this and of course, EO brads and washi tapes were used to make it extra pretty.

This is a 6 x 6 square card. I started by adding a gold embossed background panel. Then I used a set of dies and paper molds to create the poinsettias, holly leaves, greenery and pinecones. I made the Joy word by covering white cardstock with two washi tapes from the EO store before I cut them out. I cut out another white set of words with white foam and glued the two letters together. This gives the letters a chunky look quickly.

After all the prep work was done, I pulled out several brads and gems and got to work arranging the wreath and decorations. The final result is one of the nicest wreaths I think I've ever made.

Old Fashioned Christmas

I love vintage and retro looking images and when I saw these holiday story book covers that look like Little Golden Books in KB and Friends Etsy shop, I knew right away I'd need to use them in a Christmas project.

I added strips of Eyelet Outlet's foil gold star washi tape to the edges of the books to really give them the look of a Little Golden Book.  Vintage children are Cricut images and then I added some amazing Eyelet Outlet brads.  The Santa and deer brads have a super vintage look to them, so they were perfect for this project!  Some snowy tree brads and snow flake brads and a lovely little gift brad complete the project.

Thanks for stopping in today and come back soon as we're getting ready to roll out some new products that you won't want to miss!

Money Roll Gift

Hello and Merry Christmas Eve! If you're like most of us, you are wrapping those last gifts. I'm with you! My son is the age when cash is king but I can't stand just to put it in a boring card or typical money card. I made a money roll with a gift bag and made it fabulous with many EO products. I am sure my son will really enjoy this gift and the entertainment of unrolling the money to see how much it is.

If you're not sure what a money roll is, it's a mini box with a slit in the top which allows you to insert a roll of cash. I connected the bills with Snow Flake Washi Tape. This allowed me to connect the money but not worry about it tearing the bills when my son takes it apart after opening.

Once connected, I rolled the money strip up and inserted into a little box that sits inside the bag. Pull on the label and the money will unroll. Super fun!

Once I made the gift bag, I decorated it with Red Strip Bling, Santa and Deer Brads, Snowy Tree Brads, Snowflake Bling and three washi tapes: Sparkle White Glitter, Pine Tree, and Snow Flake. I love how this project turned out.

hope you enjoyed my card and I thank you for stopping by today. Please visit the store for all your brads, washi tape, bling and paper flowers!

On my card I've included bell brads hanging from the sentiment. At the bottom of the card, Santa & Mrs. Claus brads are surrounded with Snow Tree Brads. Making a Scene!

On thing the Eyelet Outlet Designers and I love to do is make a scene!  We do it in the very best way though, with Eyelet Outlet products!

Lately I've been following a crafter on Instagram that makes these cute little dioramas from card stock. I thought incorporating some brads into a project like that would be lots of fun, so I've got one to share with you today.

I started out with a small frame with an easel that was designed by one of my Cricut friends.  I cut this on my Cricut Maker and the finished size of the frame is 3.5" x 2.75"

I cut down a piece of Eyelet Outlet's wide brick washi tape for the chimney and added a pair of Santa boots brads as well as this beautiful sleigh brad. I love our little vintage deer brad who is pulling the sleigh and then I added a few snowflake brads in the corners.

We hope you're finding fun ways to use Eyelet Outlet products in your holiday crafts!  Be sure to tag us on Instagram or come on by the Eyelet Outlet Fan's group and share a picture with us!

Funny Christmas Gift Tags

My family has a great sense of humor, so I know they are going to enjoy the funny gift tags I've created for their Christmas presents this year.

I created these tags in Cricut Design Space with images, tags, and pattern fills and if you're also a Cricut crafter and would like to make these, I've shared the link to the file for these on my Cricut profile.

This one is embellished with the Eyelet Outlet jeans & t-shirt brads as well as one of the cuddly puppies from our puppy brad set.

The jeans & t-shirt set was used on this one, too.  The set includes 4 colors of t-shirts.  I also used a snowflake brad and a vintage looking Santa brad from our Santa & Deer set.

Love the pony from the horse and pony set!  I'm afraid my granddaughter is going to be disappointed that she's not really getting a pony!!

Our classic car set includes 4 different colors!  Our motorcycle brad would be awesome on this, too!

Thanks for stopping by!

Polar Bear Winter Escape...

I have to say I really like the different winter shades of blue and the
navy sky on this card. This card was first created with a Tim Holtz die that came in many
multiple layering pieces but does provide a striking scene.

I added the polar bear and deer brads from Eyelet Outlet. For the sky I die cut some
small stars and added clear cut 8MM jewels. The final touch was some gold washi tape
in the top corner with some bakers twine.I also added Snow Tex.

Be sure to check the Eyelet Outlet and Brads Blogspot. There
are fabulous and creative projects every day.

Michelle's Top 3 Favorites!

Today I am sharing my top 3 favorite cards!

I chose this Nautical themed "SEAS"son's Greeting Christmas card for a couple of reasons! First, it is in honor of the many, many Christmases I celebrated in South Florida! I was born and raised in Florida and only within the last 15 years have celebrated this holiday with an actual "winter" season! And secondly, I love this card because I think I used the most adorable Eyelet Outlet products! I used 9 accessories on this card! You can see all the details of this card on blogpost November 8, 2022.

My second favorite card is the "back to school fuel" card from blog post August 30,2022. Anyone who knows me, knows I love coffee! So I really enjoyed creating this coffee themed card! Cutting out the Coffee washi tape to create the word "teachers" was fun too!

Last, but not least. For my 3rd favorite card, I selected "Joy to the World" from blog post October 11, 2022. I chose this card for not only the lovely products I used, but for the message it represents! Because of Jesus's birth we can celebrate Christmas! I hope this Christmas season you have as the song says, "prepared Him room in your heart and home" and you "rejoice at the wonders of His Love".

Thank you for stopping by this Christmas season! I have created a shopping list below for Eyelet Outlet!

Warm Winter Wishes

Hello Christmas Crafters and Card Makers! Here is a card I created with a postage stamp style image and fun Eyelet Outlet accessories!

I started with the Christmas postage stamp image and added some coloring to the background using alcohol markers. I then added some sparkle glitter for snow and embellished with the Snow Tree Brads. To create my background I stamped the sentiment in blue to coordinate with the border washi tape called "glitter tall tree washi tape wide" and added the most adorable little reindeer brads from the set Santa Deer Brads!

I hope you are making great progress on your Christmas crafts and greeting cards! Thanks so much for stopping by! Don't forget to shop at Eyelet Outlet for your crafting needs!
