Baked With Love

 Hello Crafty Friends - Today I am sharing a baking theme birthday card created with Eyelet Outlet brads.  Eyelet Outlet has so many products to create all kinds of projects.

I used a happy die and birthday stamp to create the greeting.  I used Distress Oxide Ink to shade the shadow for the word Happy to make it look like baked cookies.  Then I decorated the cards with cooking brads, mixer and cup brads, and canister brads.

Always Believe In Yourself

 We have a lot of cats in our animal collection at Eyelet Outlet, but this little orange cat is my absolute favorite because he looks exactly like my Sonny Boy! 

Memes are such an inspiration to me in my card making and when I saw this meme recently, I couldn't get to the craft room fast enough to put my spin on it with amazing Eyelet Outlet products! I started with a strip of our popular wood washi tape for my counter top, I used a few Cricut images in my scene and flanked them with our mixer brad, a wooden spoon brad, and measuring cup brad. I added a mini stitched flower to the pot plant and of course, center stage was the orange feline brad!

My cat, Sonny Boy is well trained and stays off the counter. 😉

Flour Power

Nothing says, "Happy Birthday" as well as cake, but since that's kind of hard to fit into an envelope, how about a card featuring Eyelet Outlet Cupcake Swirl Brads and baking accoutrements like Mixer and Cup Brads, Pan and Rolling Pin, Baking Brads, the oven mitt from our Cooking Brads set, a Heart Brad and coordinating vertical Heart Washi Tape.

Box Card For The Kitchen Cook!

Hey everybody! I hope you had a great week and have something fun planned this weekend, like crafting perhaps?! I'm a huge box card fan and when I found this oven box card cut file online I automatically thought of my daughter because she loves to cook! Me... not so much, lol! This card features our Cooking Brads, Baking Brads and Mixer & Cup Brads and was so much fun putting together!
I cut the card base from bright yellow cardstock, and all the remaining pieces from red, light yellow black, gray and white cardstock. I always say that the greatest satisfaction I get is putting these box cards together and watching them come to life! 

I drew markings on the clock with a black pen. I adhered a mixing spoon brad and measuring cup brad to a piece of acetate so they would stand up on the cook top. I added two cookie sheet brads to the oven along with two oven mitts to the stove front. 

I stamped a large all-occasion sentiment in red ink on the back layered circle.

Mrs. Claus' North Pole Bakery

This card was much harder to make than meets the eye. The mechanics of it were simple enough, but I had the hardest time choosing which brads to use in Mrs. Claus' Bakery!!  Mrs. Claus, of course, was easy enough, but with so many baking and cooking brads in the Eyelet Outlet Store, the choices were hard to make!  

At the end of the day I paired Mrs. Claus with the mixer brad, oven mitt from the cooking brad set, and the gingerbread boy and girl. Visit our food, drink, and cooking section at Eyelet Outlet and you'll see why I had such a hard time choosing!

Flippin' Awesome

Hi!  It's Kim from Katydid Cards and today I've "cooked" up a card to celebrate the chef in your life!  It incorporates the Cooking, Baking, Pan & Rolling Pin, and Mixer & Cup brads as well as Silver Glitter Enamel Dots.  The Cooking Washi Tape goes perfectly with these brads.  I also used the Skinny Silver Washi Tape in between to accent.

On the reverse, there's room for your sentiment.  And you could put another brad or two, or more, on the back as well.

The card base was cut using a file purchased in the Silhouette store.

Dinner and Cocktails

It's Kim from Katydid Cards today!

It's been a while since I've worked with the Chicken Brads so I just had to make another card using them.  I call this card, "Dinner Invitation" and you can see why.  These two chickens have been invited to join their neighbor for dinner.  Here they are at the front door.

And here they are inside.  What's that on the menu??  Uh Oh!  I used the Cooking, Baking, and Mixer Brads as well as Brick, Color Wheel, and Flower Washi Tape. The door handles are Black Enamel Dots.

If you're interested in recreating this card you will find the card base, kitchen, and cleaver in the Silhouette store.    The chef is from My Favorite Thing's Recipe for Happiness.  The chalkboard is free clip art I imported into the Silhouette and typed what's on the menu...inspired by my DT Sister, Susan's, Wednesday meal postings.

Winner, winner chicken dinner!

No dinner would complete with cocktails, so I'm sharing another card adding the Rooster brad.  I showcased him in a shadowbox card.  Each layer uses a different digital paper from the Cocktail Party collection by JazzyPatterns.  I also used the Cocktail brads on either side of the greeting.

On the reverse of the card are my favorite chicken brads again!

The Best Cupcakes

I like to bake but rarely do it. We certainly don't need the calories.... but the card I baked up today doesn't have any calories in it. That's one of the nice things about Eyelet Outlet cupcakes. ;)

Made With Love!

We just got back from vacation in upper Michigan, visiting my husband's family and attending our nephew's wedding.  What a great trip!  This card was inspired by all of the love poured into cooking for a larger-than-usual crowd!  My husband and SIL always have fun in the kitchen cooking up sentimental favorites for the family.    

I love all of the great details on these adorable brads!  The measuring cup (from our mixer and cup brad set) has little red lines on it just like the real thing, and you can see the wood grain on the spoon (part of the baking brads set)!  They are so CUTE!  We have a real wooden spoon just like this that belonged to my husband's grandmother!

On the inside, there's a strip of silverware washi tape, and of course, inside and out, some enamel hearts to show the love!  

As much fun as we had, it sure is great to be home and back in the craft room!

A Little Baking and A Lotta Love!

I don't do a lot of baking, but I have a friend that loves to bake. She gave me a little gift recently, and as I was musing over her thank you note, I found this cute designer paper in my stash. And I knew exactly what brads I would use for accents!

I also wanted to share today how I store my supplies from Eyelet Outlet. I am always looking for others' ideas on the best way to store things so I can find them, but also so it's neat and portable. I found this storage container at my local Hobby Lobby for $5.99. It has individual compartments on the outside for my brads and eyelets, and each one snaps off, and also snaps tightly to prevent mishaps.

The lid comes off and has a large area inside for ribbons, or washi tape, or larger brads, as you can see here:

It works very well for what I am looking for in a storage container -- and at a great price (even better with a 40% off coupon)! What kinds of ways do you use to store your brads and eyelets? And washi tape?
