Winter Besties!

Aren't these sweet little winter clad gals adorable? I think so! And, they are beating the winter blues with coffee and friendship!

I started my card by creating a cloudy, wintery background with distress inks. I then added a strip of sparkling white glitter washi for snow. I fussy cut my sweet winter girls and placed them on the right side. Next, I stamped my greeting directly on the frames washi and added to my layout! What's a fun gathering of friends without coffee or bubble tea? So, I added the coffee cup brads and layered on bubble tea washi lined cardstock! I hope you enjoy!

Winter Cardinals

Is there anything more lovely than a pair of beautiful cardinals sitting in a winter landscape?

Sadly, during this winter season we have had friends and family who have lost loved ones. I decided to create a sympathy card using the beautiful cardinal brads. Adding a few pops of winter green fir, the cardinal washi and pinecone brads finished off my simple card.

January Calendar Planning

Happy New Year dear creative friends! I am grateful you are here!

As we embark on a New Year and set goals and plans for success, I thought I would share my calendar layout for January 2024. I love using a good quality paper planner that allows me to write, stamp, create, and add embellishments to my heart's content!

I began with stamping my snowflakes in light blue and adding some distressing around the edges of my planner. Next, I added my wintery washi tapes in various places. Lastly, I embellished with the adorable snowman and snowflake brads! Quick, simple, and easy with a lovely result!

Now, all that is left to do is write my plans for January! I hope this inspires you to get organized and creative in planning your upcoming year!

Maybe the most fun you can have with our Eyelet Outlet Wildlife Brads is to build little scenes for them to inhabit. This trio of A1 cards all have stamped trees and sponged skies, with Sun and Cloud Brads to light the way and a flurry of Snowflake Sequins to set the season. Pine Tree Brads and Snowy Pines add to the foliage, then the critters arrive: a Prancing Deer, a handsome Moose, plus mama and baby Bear Brads. Polar Bear Winter Escape...

I have to say I really like the different winter shades of blue and the
navy sky on this card. This card was first created with a Tim Holtz die that came in many
multiple layering pieces but does provide a striking scene.

I added the polar bear and deer brads from Eyelet Outlet. For the sky I die cut some
small stars and added clear cut 8MM jewels. The final touch was some gold washi tape
in the top corner with some bakers twine.I also added Snow Tex.

Be sure to check the Eyelet Outlet and Brads Blogspot. There
are fabulous and creative projects every day.

Hanging with my Gnomies!

These little Gnome brads were just too cute to resist!

I thought a fun wintery card would be a great way to use these adorable Gnome brads! I started with stamping and coloring my gnome girl and fussy cutting her out! I then added the glitter tall tree washi tape to the top with my parade of gnome brads! Aren't they the cutest little posse? I stamped the sentiment in the middle, cutting out the inside of the "O" to add a little peeking gnome! Lastly, I added a strip of glitter black washi to the bottom! So fun!

I hope you are enjoying a great start to the NEW YEAR and this winter season! Thanks so much for stopping by! Don't forget to shop at Eyelet Outlet for your crafting needs!

A Christmas Scene

Hi crafty friends!  Today, I am sharing a fun card that is WAY outside of my wheelhouse, but I had so much fun creating!

I began with a piece of patterned paper that I have been dying to use.  I inked up the edges with my ink pad, and then I added several fun winter-themed brads (listed below) to add some dimension and fill in the white space.   Lastly, I created a sparkly panel to go behind my sentiment with glitter washi added a sparkly snowflake in the corner!
I love how the brads stand out against the additional images on the patterned paper!

Warm Winter Wishes

Hello Christmas Crafters and Card Makers! Here is a card I created with a postage stamp style image and fun Eyelet Outlet accessories!

I started with the Christmas postage stamp image and added some coloring to the background using alcohol markers. I then added some sparkle glitter for snow and embellished with the Snow Tree Brads. To create my background I stamped the sentiment in blue to coordinate with the border washi tape called "glitter tall tree washi tape wide" and added the most adorable little reindeer brads from the set Santa Deer Brads!

I hope you are making great progress on your Christmas crafts and greeting cards! Thanks so much for stopping by! Don't forget to shop at Eyelet Outlet for your crafting needs!

A Walk in the Woods

As much as we enjoy seeing the leaves return in the spring, there is definitely something to be said for the loveliness of bare trees, where we can see the trunks and the branches... and any wildlife that might be passing... so clearly. In this case, the wild life consists of Eyelet Outlet Deer Brads, in a forest where a few Snowflake Brads are softly falling. There are also four styles of EO Washi on this A2 card: Wood TapeTwig TapeGlitter Copper and Glitter Tall Tree Tape.

The woods are created with Penny Black's Woodland Scene dies, which look wonderful with both pieces stacked together; but it turns out they look equally nice when used singly, as on this slimline version. The trees have been cut from cardstock to which neat strips of Sparkle White Glitter Tape have been applied, to make a sparkling snowy scene. All three styles of our Cardinal Brads (Cardinals, Female Cardinals and Profile Cardinals) stand out beautifully against the snowy trees and blue sky, while flurries of Red Snowflake Bling drift downwards.

There are plenty more birds and beasts, flora and fauna, in the Eyelet Outlet Store, you should probably go and check them out!

Here We Come A-Caroling

The new Eyelet Outlet Caroler Brads are the about cutest thing ever! Here they are singing a happy holiday song in their very own snowglobe. I stamped some little houses to make a backdrop for them, added a strip of Sparkle White Glitter Tape for the ground, Snowflake Brads to the sky, and diecut the snowglobe base from Wood Washi with an accent of Brick Tape.

Have an ICE Day!

I (Lauren) have to confess that, in real life, I'm not overly fond of snow and ice; but... I am a huge fan of Eyelet Outlet Polar Bear Brads, for whom snow and ice are the ideal habitat, so I've tried to recreate it in card form. See?

In addition to said handsome Polar Bears, this card features Twig Washi Tape and tiny silver tiny silver Star Sequins. Be sure to check the EO Blog often, the design team are always coming up with awesome ideas to inspire you!

Peaceful Winter

A simple, snowy card featuring baubles filled with wintery Eyelet Outlet wildlife brads: PenguinsMoose and Polar Bears, oh my!

I diecut three ornament shapes, each composed of navy paper flecked with snow for the sky; and white glitter paper for the ground. Then I added two Penguin Brads and a small Snowflake; a stately Moose Brad in front of a Pine Tree; and a mother and baby Polar Bear. I mounted the ornaments on foam tape for extra dimension and positioned them under some sparkly pine branches, then added clear Bling Strips as hangers. I think they're SNOW fun and festive!

Bring On the Bling!

It's no secret that I (Lauren) looooove Eyelet Outlet Bling... the fancier the better! But this is the first time I've used it to create a compound mandala shape. Pretty sure it will not be the last, however.

I started with an XL (2") Snowflake in the center of my 6" square pan pastel gelprint. At the end of each "arm" of the snowflake, I added one Heart Jewel Bling, facing outwards. Then I placed a smaller 1.5" Snowflake between each pair of hearts, to be like a second round of arms. Finally I added a clear Teardrop Gem at the top of each heart. Et voila!

Remember when I said I was pretty sure you'll see this idea revisited? Well I take it back. Because I'm not pretty sure... I'm positive!

would happily play with
bling all day long.
(and sometimes does!)

Snow Far, Snow Good

I confess that I (Lauren) do not actually love snow in real life, BUT... I love it on holiday cards, especially shaker cards that star the new Eyelet Outlet Snowman Couple Brads!

Because seriously what in the world could be cuter than a Snowman and Snowwoman all dressed up for a Snow Date?! After I filled the shaker cup with clear microbeads and a few tiny sequins, I concentrated on making a background that went well with that scene. I decided they should live on a Christmas Tree Farm, which I made by filling the lower 2/3 of a plain white cardstock panel with Christmas Tree Washi Tape, lined up nice and neatly. I filled the "sky" with Dotty Foil Tape and as a finishing touch I scattered a few Snowflake Brads so they looked like they were falling down the front of the card.

If it's snowing where you live, I hope you are as happy and cosy as this cute Snow Couple!

would seriously prefer to have
ALL her snow on holiday cards!

Making a Scene

All you need to make the *GOOD* kind of scene, in a cardmaking sense, is a judicious combination of Eyelet Outlet Brads and Glitter Tape... and ok... maybe a little bit of Bling, as well. Which is what I (Lauren) have used to make these two winter wonderland cards:

This Glitter Tall Tree Tape has the perfect colors, the perfect (wide) width and the perfect amount of glitter, of the variety which absolutely DOES NOT leave a sparkly trail wherever it goes. This I needed no more than a few torn paper mats and some Pine TreePrancing Deer and Snowflake Brads to make a perfectly peaceful winter scene.

I've used a second variety of Glitter Tree Tape on my second card, which I framed with Blue Marble Tape and some Fancy Pearl and Jewel Bling before attaching my Moose and Pine Tree Brads. I've bordered the vertical sheet music panel with some Glitter Star Tape and allowed my Snowflake Brads and a few of the tiny gems from the Pearl Bling to cascade down the front of the card.

I expect there are nearly endless combinations of Glitter Tape and Brads that would look beautiful on holiday --or even just winter-themed-- cards. I hope you'll be inspired to try your own variations!

would prefer that snow only ever
appeared on xmas cards and tv shows!
