Advice from Our Winter Friends

Polar Bears and Penguins have much to teach us and Eyelet Outlet Polar Bear and Penguin Brads help them do it in style! Snowflake Brads set the scene, as do Sparkle White Glitter and Glitter Dark Blue Tapes; accent strips of gorgeous Snowflake Tape from the Christmas Washi Bundle complete the design.

Winter Cardinals

Eyelet Outlet's popular cardinal brads are so beautiful on a holiday card.  Today I've used the female cardinal and the male profile cardinal on my winter birdhouse.

The birdhouse is a Cricut image and I used wood grained digital paper for it.  I also added an Eyelet Outlet holly brad.  The greenery is also from Cricut and the pinecone brad really added dimension and interest.  I also topped it off with an Eyelet Outlet snowflake brad. The frame around my scene is created with a red and green digital paper. I'm excited to create a few more of these for this year's Christmas cards.

Making a Scene!

On thing the Eyelet Outlet Designers and I love to do is make a scene!  We do it in the very best way though, with Eyelet Outlet products!

Lately I've been following a crafter on Instagram that makes these cute little dioramas from card stock. I thought incorporating some brads into a project like that would be lots of fun, so I've got one to share with you today.

I started out with a small frame with an easel that was designed by one of my Cricut friends.  I cut this on my Cricut Maker and the finished size of the frame is 3.5" x 2.75"

I cut down a piece of Eyelet Outlet's wide brick washi tape for the chimney and added a pair of Santa boots brads as well as this beautiful sleigh brad. I love our little vintage deer brad who is pulling the sleigh and then I added a few snowflake brads in the corners.

We hope you're finding fun ways to use Eyelet Outlet products in your holiday crafts!  Be sure to tag us on Instagram or come on by the Eyelet Outlet Fan's group and share a picture with us!

Funny Christmas Gift Tags

My family has a great sense of humor, so I know they are going to enjoy the funny gift tags I've created for their Christmas presents this year.

I created these tags in Cricut Design Space with images, tags, and pattern fills and if you're also a Cricut crafter and would like to make these, I've shared the link to the file for these on my Cricut profile.

This one is embellished with the Eyelet Outlet jeans & t-shirt brads as well as one of the cuddly puppies from our puppy brad set.

The jeans & t-shirt set was used on this one, too.  The set includes 4 colors of t-shirts.  I also used a snowflake brad and a vintage looking Santa brad from our Santa & Deer set.

Love the pony from the horse and pony set!  I'm afraid my granddaughter is going to be disappointed that she's not really getting a pony!!

Our classic car set includes 4 different colors!  Our motorcycle brad would be awesome on this, too!

Thanks for stopping by!

Gingerbread Bakery

It's getting pretty close to Christmas and this is when I start creating cards I need for last minute gifts and people I haven't yet gotten to. This card took less than 15 minutes to make which is really fast for me. With a good layout and various premade or quick elements, you can create something that looks like it took a lot longer to make.

To start this one, I created a kraft card base and scored the front on each side to help fill in the space and give the card base a design. Then I placed strips of foiled Christmas Stripe Washi Tape in the middle to add a quick background. I have some large cardstock stickers and I chose this one to place at the bottom of the card. You can use any premade element you might have for this. Then I added Gingerbread, Snowflake and Canister Brads to tie the embellishments to the sticker.

Just like that, I was able to create a great card in about 15 minutes. Perfect for the holiday crunch time!

Thanks for stopping by today. Please visit the store for all your brads, washi tape, bling and paper flowers!

Happy Creating Everyone!

Snowy Nighttime Christmas Sky!

Hey everybody! I hope you had a good week and your weather is nice where you are! Leslie here, sharing a Christmas card with a pretty inked snowy nighttime sky featuring our City Skyline Washi Tape and Snowflake Brads along with Santa and his reindeer!

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from heavyweight white cardstock along with a layering panel from lighter weight white cardstock. I employed the DTP (direct-to-paper) technique to ink the background with stormy sky and chipped sapphire distress inks and then splattered white acrylic paint mixed with a tad bit of water with my fan brush across the panel. I applied a strip of City Skyline Washi Tape to a scrap piece of heavyweight white cardstock I had on my desk, cut it out along the tops of the buildings, and adhered it to the bottom of the inked panel. I stamped Santa and his reindeer and the sentiment in black ink, and then added the Snowflake Brads to complete the panel.

I cut the inside panel from lighter weight white cardstock and embellished it with a super narrow strip of blue cardstock. I stamped the sentiment in black ink and layered the panel on blue cardstock.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Ugly Sweater Party

We call them "ugly" but there is something totally fun and festive about Holiday Sweaters, especially in card form; and Instant Holiday Sweater Awesomeness can be achieved just by adding Eyelet Outlet Holiday Brads!

These particular sweaters are fussy-cut from a Photoplay patterned paper, but this idea would work with any sweater-shaped stamps, dies or SVG files; or swap for t-shirts if you live in a warmer climate! I chose to make mini-slimline cards with three sweaters across, but again, you could make a grid with LOTS of sweaters, or go clean-and-simple and add just a single one to each card.

My first card features a Candy Cane Brad, a Holiday Light and a Pine Tree; the latter makes another appearance on card #2, along with a Snowflake and an (on sale!Ornament Brad.

The third card sports a Bell Brad (also on sale!) a handsome Snowman and one of this year's brand new styles a Gift Brad.

There are lots more fun holiday brad styles in the Eyelet Outlet store, why not hop over and take a peek!

Leslie's Holiday Favs!

Hello, Eyelet Outlet fans! I hope you've had a great week! Leslie here, sharing three of my favorite holiday projects created with our amazing products! When this idea was presented to our design team, we all loved it, so hopefully this is the start of a new holiday tradition!

The first of my three favorites is this adorable Merry Christmoose card! These Moose Brads are some of the coolest brads ever, which I paired with our Copper Skinny Washi Tape and White Enamel Dots to create this fun scene.

The card in the number two spot is this peaceful serene scene created with our Cardinal Brads and Cardinal Profile Brads against a Glitter Star Washi Tape background embellished with Snowflake Brads and White Enamel Dots.

And my third favorite is this step card shaker! Who can resist a shaker card?! Especially a shaker card filled with our gorgeous
Snowflake Sequins?! I also used clear gemstones from our Clear Jewel Bling and Clear Bling Strips to embellish the snowflakes on the front of the shaker.

Thanks so much for stopping by today - we'll see you next time!
