The Merry Curio Cabinet

Hello Crafty Friends - Today I am sharing a Christmas curio cabinet card made with Eyelet Outlet's sleigh brads, snowman couple brads, santa & deer brads, snowflake brads, nutcracker brads, gingerbread brads, and candy cane brads.  Eyelet Outlet has adorable embellishments for your crafty projects.

I used a die to create the base for the curio cabinet.  Ink blending on brown cardstock creates the look of wood.  Coordinating pattern cardstock to fills in the "shelves".  I chose a variety of Christmas brads to fill in the cabinet.

This curio cabinet Christmas card reveals all the little details that make this season so magical.  Thank you for visiting the blog today.  I hope this inspires you to create a fun project using Eyelet Outlet products.  Please visit Eyelet Outlet for creative supplies and inspiration.

Merry & Bright Wreath

Hello Crafty Friends - This is absolutely my favorite time of the year!  Today I am sharing a Christmas wreath ornament made with Eyelet Outlet brads.

I created the wreath shape by twisting some pine garland into a circle.  For a little sparkle, I added a wire trim with some sequence and bling.  For the hanging element, I cut some Christmas ribbon, made a loop, and glued it to the back of the wreath.  The fun part was decorating the wreath with Eyelet Outlet brads.  I chose sleigh brads, ornament brads, and Santa & deer brads, but there are lots of options on the website.

This handmade ornament makes a thoughtful gift or add it as a decoration to a gift bag.  Thank you for visiting the blog today.  Please visit Eyelet Outlet for brads and other embellishments to add to your holiday projects.

Santa's Ready to Sleigh!

One of my favorite things about card making is making scenes. EO's washi tapes, brads, bling and other accessories really give us a lot to work with for making scenes. I created this one located at Santa's workshop in the North Pole. It looks chilly but warms my heart!

I used Glitter Winter Washi Tape, one of my favorites, to create the winter tree scene in the background. I used Aleene's True Snow with glitter sprinkled on the top for the snow part of the scene. While it dried, I stamped, colored and cut out Santa's Workshop and the light pole.

I added the stamped images to the card front and then all the brads. The true charm of this scene comes from Santa, his sleigh, a deer, a poinsettia on the light pole and snowy trees, and a Merry Christmas saying. It looks like Santa is ready to leave for his big night!

Thanks for joining me here today. Please visit the EO store for all your brads, washi tape, bling and paper flowers!

Jingle Bells!

Can you hear the bells ringing yet? It's almost Christmas and today I'm celebrating with a card that celebrates many iconic Christmas icons. The great news is that there's so much to choose from at Eyelet Outlet!

On my card I've included bell brads hanging from the sentiment. At the bottom of the card, Santa & Mrs. Claus brads are surrounded with Snow Tree Brads. On top, I've added a Sleigh Brad and a deer from the Santa & Deer Brads. The red background couldn't be simpler since it was created with strips of Ho Ho Let It Snow Washi Tape. Yes, indeed! Christmas is coming!

Mini Diorama

So many of the Eyelet Outlet brads work together!  Today I've created a little scene by pairing our sleigh brad and horse brad as well as a snowy tree.

This mini diorama is about 3" x 2.5" and the frame, snow, and barn were created on my Cricut.  The frame was designed by one of my friends in the Cricut Community and even has an easel on the back!

Making a Scene!

On thing the Eyelet Outlet Designers and I love to do is make a scene!  We do it in the very best way though, with Eyelet Outlet products!

Lately I've been following a crafter on Instagram that makes these cute little dioramas from card stock. I thought incorporating some brads into a project like that would be lots of fun, so I've got one to share with you today.

I started out with a small frame with an easel that was designed by one of my Cricut friends.  I cut this on my Cricut Maker and the finished size of the frame is 3.5" x 2.75"

I cut down a piece of Eyelet Outlet's wide brick washi tape for the chimney and added a pair of Santa boots brads as well as this beautiful sleigh brad. I love our little vintage deer brad who is pulling the sleigh and then I added a few snowflake brads in the corners.

We hope you're finding fun ways to use Eyelet Outlet products in your holiday crafts!  Be sure to tag us on Instagram or come on by the Eyelet Outlet Fan's group and share a picture with us!

Santa Claus is coming to town!

I am working on my Christmas cards and thought I would try creating a Christmas winter globe scene!

For my globe, I cut a circle base and created a winter scene by stamping trees and using distress inks to create the background. I added prisma glitter for some sparkly snow! Next, I embellished by adding the adorable Santa sleigh brad and reindeer brads. For the base, I used the wood grain washi tape and attached my Merry Christmas sentiment. Lastly, I added my globe to white cardstock trimmed with the red and white stripe washi! I hope you try creating a wintery globe scene! So fun and festive!

Polar Bear Wishes

Today I've got a Christmas card with a decidedly outdoor theme. Eyelet Outlet has a lot of animal brads but the Polar Bear Set is one of my favorites. It comes with a large and a small bear. I've made them the focal points of my card.

I began this card by cutting two pieces of white cardstock 2" by 5". I covered one with strips of washi tape using Poinsettia Washi Tape and Holiday Washi Tape. Then I tore an edge off of each piece so that they I could adhere them to a green mat. This was then glued on to a red A2 card base. I made a sentiment strip and mounted it on red cardstock. It was very easy to tear the washi tape covered pieces to get a distressed looking pieces for a little different look. You can also cut washi tape covered cardstock with dies or an electronic cutter.

I cut a decorative circle out of cardstock covered in Sparkle White Glitter Washi Tape. Now for the fun EO brads. In the center I placed a Pine Tree Brad, a Sleigh Brad and the small Polar Bear Brad. I used the large Polar Bear Brad on the left side of the sentiment as an accent.

Tag-a-Palooza!

Sometimes when I (Lauren) start making tags, I find it hard to stop! Especially when I've got my entire stash of Eyelet Outlet holiday brads and tapes to choose from. In this case, I planned to make tags featuring all the new EO Brads: Santa and Deer, Gnomes 2, Trees- Snowy and Carolers... but then I just kept going! Luckily I managed to fit them all on a book ring from the office supply store.

I used Sunny Studio's Build a Tag #2 die set to create tags, toppers and reinforcements cut from cardstock covered with my favorite EO holiday tapes, such as Poinsettia TapeSanta Tape, Twig Tape, Santa- Green WashiGarland TapeTree TapeCardinal WashiSkinny Vertical Tree TapeGingerbread WashiRed Santa and Winter Characters Tape; with accents of Wood TapeBrick TapeMusic Note TapeGreen Damask Washi, and of course I couldn't resist breaking out a bunch of Glitter Tapes (we have over two dozen styles... and counting!)

After all my tape tags were created, I used circle punches of several sizes to make a little home for the brads on each tag. I used: Cardinal and Female CardinalsGift BradsSnowy Trees and SnowflakesSanta and Deer Brads, a SleighWreath and Poinsettia BradsHolly, the Gnew Gnomes, a Gingerbread CoupleCandy CaneCaroler Brads, and a Snowman on a Sled.

Sleigh Rides

I love the versatility of the Eyelet Outlet sleigh brads.  They pair with our Santa brads, prancing deer brads and today I've paired it with our horse brad for an old fashioned sleigh ride.

I've also used the wreath brad on the barn.  I love how this turned out and believe I'll made a few more soon so that I'm ready to send my Christmas cards on time this year!

We'd love to see how you've used the sleigh brad in your projects, so join us over at Eyelet Outlet Fans Facebook Group!

Advent Calendar

My youngest granddaughter is the perfect age for an Advent calendar this year - big enough not to swallow little toys and yet little enough to still like Dollar Store trinkets, so when I saw this amazing Advent calendar file at My Scrap Chick I knew I had to have it!  A shout out to Tracy Rushton who designed it!  It's an engineering marvel in my opinion!  The file includes a PDF version in the event you don't have a die cut machine.

The most fun was decorating the faces of the 25 boxes using various images from the Cricut image library and many embellishments from Eyelet Outlet.

I'll do my best to spot all of them and link to them at the end of the page!

Wishing all of our Eyelet Outlet fans a Happy and safe Thanksgiving!

Gingerbread House Gift Box

The weather has started turning cooler here in Central Texas, so it's easier to turn my attention to Christmas crafts than it was when we were still in the 90's.  Today I've got a great little gift box to show you that is loaded with awesome Eyelet Outlet embellishments!

This gable box is from the Cricut Sweet Tooth Boxes image set. The roof has a slit in the center that slips over the handle of the box and lifts off to open which I thought was so clever.  Placing the brads on the box is super simple if done before actually assembling the box.

I thought the holiday red and green enamel dots were a great way to embellish the scallops on the roof, but any of our stick on gems would also be cool.

For snow around the base of the box I used a strip of silver glitter washi tape. I added a wreath brad to the door and some holly brads to the windows.  The star of the show though has to be Eyelet Outlet's brand new Gingerbread brads!  The set includes a little boy and a little girl gingerbread person!  I also added some more sweet touches - the peppermint candy brads, candy cane brad, and lollipop brad.  The roof seemed like a great opportunity for one of our prancing deer brads pulling Santa's sleigh brad!

See these and more holiday brads from Eyelet Outlet here!  Thanks for being with us today!

Wrappin' Up Christmas in July

We've neared the end of July and so it's time to wrap up Christmas in July.  What better way to do that with some fancy tags perfect for your wrapped gifts!  Actually, these little shaker tags could also serve as ornaments.

First up I've used Santa and Mrs. Clause brads next to our beautiful sleigh brad on the front of this shaker tag.  Behind the acetate window of this tag, and all of the tags I'm bringing you today, you'll see Eyelet Outlet's sparkling snow sequins. I'm seriously hooked on them!  The frame I used for this tag is from Cricut's Elegant Edges image set.

Next up, I've used the same frame and background but for this one I used Eyelet Outlet's polar bear and cub brads.  The frame I used for these tags has a wide enough edge that the brads could be applied to the outside of the tag so that they didn't interfere with the snow sequins shaking behind them.

This round tag is from Cricut's Mini Monograms image set.  On this one I added one of our deer brads.  Here I've used the buck from the set, but there's also a doe.  To the top I added some greenery cut with my Cricut and an Eyelet Outlet pine cone brad.

Now all I have to do is decide whether I'll sign the backs of these and add them to gifts or hang them on my tree as ornaments!

Thanks for being with us today!  Stay safe and healthy friends and enjoy the day with those you love!

Advent Calendar

Today I'm bringing you a Pinterest inspired project that I've wanted to make for several years now and finally got around to it this week!  I created an Advent Calendar for my granddaughter out of a muffin pan!

I began by cutting out circles from magnetic paper on my Cricut Maker.  The magnetic paper sticks to the muffin pan to cover the openings.

Next the fun started!  Creating fun little designs to embellish the magnetic circles! Most, if not all, of my designs were elements found in Cricut Design Space.

What really added to the project were the many Eyelet Outlet products I used!  The brad, bling, and enamel dots really jazzed this project up! Most came from our Holiday Collection.

I used vinyl to apply the "Merry Christmas, Love Grandma & Grandpa."  Just a little FYI to save you some grief if you should decide to make one - spray paint doesn't stick to Teflon! I found that out the hard way!  :(   Look for a pan that isn't coated with a non-stick surface if you want to spray paint it.

Each day from December 1st through Christmas Eve, she will get to open up a little prize of candy, small toy, or money.  I can't wait to give this to her!

It's a Wrap!

This is my last post before Christmas.  Decorations are up, gifts have been bought, Christmas cards have been mailed and it's all coming together for our Christmas celebration with family next week!  The excitement is building as I'm doing my favorite part - gift wrapping!

This year I made initials for each family member's main gift and after spray painting them, I embellished them with Eyelet Outlet brads that coordinated with the wrapping paper.

I loved the way the poinsettia brads paired with this pretty wrapping paper I found at Kohls!

I found this wrapping paper at Hobby Lobby a few years ago and I LOVE the cardinals on it.  The Eyelet Outlet Cardinal Brad looks like it was made for this paper, too!

Next up, my granddaughter got the Snowman and Snowflake Brad with her snowflake paper!

I thought the new Pinecone Brads paired with a touch of greenery I made with my Cricut looked so great with this plaid ribbon, don't you?

And of course, I had to do one with some bling!  Here I've used some red jeweled bling to serve as my holly berries for the holly I cut with my Cricut.  The new Pinecone Brads look awesome here, too!  I've found so many uses for them that I need to get some more!

And last but not least, Santa's Reindeer can really fly now because Santa's Sleigh is finally empty after dropping this gift off for my husband, Don!

If you're wrapping presents today, bring out your Eyelet Outlet supplies and have some fun with it!  Merry Christmas from all of us at Eyelet Outlet!
