Merry & Bright Wreath

Hello Crafty Friends - This is absolutely my favorite time of the year!  Today I am sharing a Christmas wreath ornament made with Eyelet Outlet brads.

I created the wreath shape by twisting some pine garland into a circle.  For a little sparkle, I added a wire trim with some sequence and bling.  For the hanging element, I cut some Christmas ribbon, made a loop, and glued it to the back of the wreath.  The fun part was decorating the wreath with Eyelet Outlet brads.  I chose sleigh brads, ornament brads, and Santa & deer brads, but there are lots of options on the website.

This handmade ornament makes a thoughtful gift or add it as a decoration to a gift bag.  Thank you for visiting the blog today.  Please visit Eyelet Outlet for brads and other embellishments to add to your holiday projects.

Skating Snowman

Hello EO fans! It's suddenly very cold here and it made me think of snow and one of the things I have fun doing with my family - ice skating! In the Carolinas, there's only a few places to do that in the winter but I think a visit is due.

To make this card, I used a snowman die from Spellbinders and then decorated with many brads and some bling from the EO store. The background was embossed and the blue doily is from another die set in my stash. I had a lot of fun deciding what to put in this snowman's hands but settled on the wreath and ornament brads. I put a jaunty santa hat brad on his head to give him a little more personality. To bling it up a bit, I added two strips of clear jewel bling to the hat trim and pompom. His buttons are black pearl bling. The Snowman, Prancing Deer and Gift Brads were the final touches for this simple and fun card.

Christmas Decorating

Nothing can stop our little gnome brads from decorating their tall Christmas tree! They're using a ladder I cut on my Cricut to carry the string of lights and the star to the top.

I used red, green, and clear jeweled bling for the lights and added a tree ornament on the floor near the box.  One of our gold star brads will look great as a tree topper.

We hope you're finding fun ways to use our products on your holiday cards. Share and tag us when you post them to social media!

Deck The Halls

I created the base for this fun fold card in Cricut Design Space by using the slice tool and the weld tool on some basic shapes.

The original sentiment image had a Christmas ornament included, but it felt like the perfect opportunity for one of our Eyelet Outlet Christmas tree ornaments to shine. I included some red gems on the garland and I adore our new angel brads who are helping out by hanging the garland.

Vintage Christmas Angels

Today I have another version of the Vintage Christmas card I shared with you last week.  This little story book from KB and Friends Etsy shop took me back to Little Golden Books that my mom would read to me. I added Eyelet Outlet Gold Foil Star washi tape to the edge and since this little book cover had cherubs on the front, it was the perfect opportunity to introduce you to Eyelet Outlet's brand new cherub brads!

The cherubs are hanging some holly across the top of the card and I added a poinsettia brad to the greenery and some red gems.

The vintage children around the Christmas tree are Cricut images and I added some die cut greenery with Eyelet Outlet ornament brads and finished off with a gift brad.

Stay tuned friends, we're rolling out more new products this week and know you'll want to add them to your cart when you shop Eyelet Outlet!

Christmas Window

Hello Eyelet Outlet fans! I hope you are all enjoying the holiday season. If only we could slow everything down a bit right? Eyelet Outlet can help you look like you took a lot of time to make a handmade card with hardly any time at all. Today's card is a perfect example. This card lets washi tape create a unique background to a simple window die cut. Then the window is quickly decorated with several EO brads. Let's discuss how this comes together.

To start, I covered a white piece of cardstock cut at 5" x 3.75." I covered it with stripes of washi tape from the EO store. In order for them bottom I used: Tree Washi Tape, Town Washi Tape, Deer Washi Tape, and Holiday Washi Tape. Then I finished with the first three washi tapes to take me to the top. I really love how this looks. All the colors go well together.

I cut and pieced the window die cut. It's called Holiday Window from CottageCutz. I decorated the window ledge with Pinecone Brads, and single brads from the Ornaments, Poinsettia, Holly and Cardinal Profile sets. The detail on this ledge is really fun.

So you can see that this card took a small of time to create but looks complex and time consuming. It's always great to create something that makes you look like a crafting hero!

Christmas Tree Season

Do you feel the spirit yet? Nothing says Christmas more than a decorated Christmas tree! In this 5 x 7 card, I began by die cutting the word tree die cut out of green cardstock. I layered a rectangle of white cardstock with the Ho Ho Let It Snow Washi Tape and cut it with a die. Then I layered Sparkle White Glitter Washi Tape on another rectangle and glued the green tree to it. I fussy cut around the tree shape and attached it to the red washi tape background. This allows the die cut to stand out on the red background.

Next I cut the larger background shape in white cardstock and adhered the main images together. I chose to use a dark red premade 5 x 7 card base from Michaels. I thought it needed more to fill in some of the blank spots so I added a strip of Tree Washi Tape and a strip of gold metallic washi tape. That is one of the rolls in a set of Skinny Holiday Washi Tapes

It was time to decorate the tree so I added all the various brads and bling shown in the Shopping List below. I love how this turned out. The brads enhance the tree die cut but don't overwhelm it.

Ugly Sweater Party

We call them "ugly" but there is something totally fun and festive about Holiday Sweaters, especially in card form; and Instant Holiday Sweater Awesomeness can be achieved just by adding Eyelet Outlet Holiday Brads!

These particular sweaters are fussy-cut from a Photoplay patterned paper, but this idea would work with any sweater-shaped stamps, dies or SVG files; or swap for t-shirts if you live in a warmer climate! I chose to make mini-slimline cards with three sweaters across, but again, you could make a grid with LOTS of sweaters, or go clean-and-simple and add just a single one to each card.

My first card features a Candy Cane Brad, a Holiday Light and a Pine Tree; the latter makes another appearance on card #2, along with a Snowflake and an (on sale!Ornament Brad.

The third card sports a Bell Brad (also on sale!) a handsome Snowman and one of this year's brand new styles a Gift Brad.

There are lots more fun holiday brad styles in the Eyelet Outlet store, why not hop over and take a peek!

Last Minute Mayhem!

What do you do when you discover at the verrrrrrrry last minute that you need FIVE more cards NOW?! Just grab a sheet of journaling cards, your favorite Eyelet Outlet holiday brad styles, and some washi tape and you're all set!

These cards are just slightly smaller than the classic A2, made to fit a little stack of odd-sized envelopes I (Laurencame across. All of the backgrounds are made of washi tape and there's a super-skinny mat behind each which could easily be made from Glitter Tape or Foil Tape.

I used the colors and themes of the journal cards to suggest which brads I would add... the car illustration (above) already had a tree on top, but I added a Pine Tree Brad for more dimension and interest. I put Screw Brads on the hubcaps and made a background from Wide Tree Tape. The little elf (below) obviously needed an Ornament Brad and a Star for the top of his tree. The soft sage green in Poinsettia Tape was the perfect color match.

The "Ho Ho Ho" card could easily have incorporated more ornaments, or Holiday LightsWreath BradsSanta and Missus ClausSnowman or Snowman Couple Brads, even Snowflakes or Poinsettias! But I went with three Santa Hat Brads, affixed to a few of the O's. The background is Ornament Tape, which lines up perfectly in horizontal strips to make full-sized ornaments.

A mat made of Christmas Pattern argyle style tape picks up the colors of the Holiday Coffee Cup and  Candy Cane Brad this cute snowman is holding.

Finally for the sweet elves, I added another candy cane and a Heart Brad, with a background of Tree Washi Tape... another washi selection that can be made into a full sheet, just by working patiently in strips.

I hope you'll be inspired to add Eyelet Outlet holiday brads and tape to your store bought tags, cards and bows this gift-giving season!

wishes you a very
happy holiday season!

Winter Wonderland

Today's card entitled 'Winter Wonderland' reminds me of a blustery day in the forest and finding a beautifully decorated tree!   I would love to do that!

The Stamps of Life Tree Die makes a wonderful tree to decorate.  Using Eyelet Outlet Enamel Dots, Sticky Back Jewels, Ornaments, and a Sticky Back Jewels for the tree topper, the tree comes alive!  Oh, let's not forget the Eyelet Outlet Deer Brads and the Snowman Brad (from the Snow Couple set).   With a simple, hand-cut snow bank and snowflake pattern paper, the scene is complete.

Have you browsed the Eyelet Outlet website to find what you would put on your tree?  Go on and head over there; it's fun to see the large variety of bling, washi tape, brads, enamel dots, and more.  Make a tree, decorate it, and then share it in our Eyelet Outlet Fan Page on Facebook; we'd love to see it!

Be Safe.  Be Well.  Happy Crafting!

Tag, You're It!

What do you get when you pair Eyelet Outlet Brads, Bling, Washi and Flowers with Jumbo Christmas Tags from EZ Laser Designs? Holiday magic, of course!

The jumbo Christmas Tags measure 3 x 5" and come in packs of six beautiful laser cut overlays, each with a plain white backer tag. Each pack has a tree, a deer and bells cut into a deep green tag; plus a stocking, candies and baubles in a rich red. The tags are nice and sturdy and the pre-punched holes are generous enough to thread ribbon or twine through easily.

For the bells tag I (Lauren) filled the white backer tag with Holiday Flower Bling and Holly Brads in a pretty pattern, then used another Holly Brad to affix a couple of white Paper Flowers to the ribbon at the top. I made the tree tag into a simple shaker by backing the laser-cut tree with a scrap of acrylic packaging, then filled the shaker compartment with Red Snowflake Bling as well as Snowflake and Star Sequins; the backer tag is adorned with Merry Christmas Script Tape and I framed up the design with red Jewel Strips. For the sweet reindeer, I neatly lined up strips of Seasons Greetings Washi on the white backer tag, then added Snowflake Brads to the green tag.

I used Twig Tape on the white backer of the candy tag then affixed a bit of golden patterned paper behind the sweets and added some Peppermint Candy Brads in purple on top. The stocking tag is adorned with green and white Paper Flowers held on with a Poinsettia Brad, which coordinates perfectly with the Poinsettia Washi in the background. The ornament tag has a backer of Ornament Tape and an assortment of Ornament Brads to match.

EZ Laser Designs has many other varieties of tags and overlays for all your cardmaking, giftwrapping and scrapbooking needs... and of course Eyelet Outlet has embellishments to make them even more lovely, as well as uniquely yours!

Be My Valentine

Today's card entitled, "Be My Valentine" provides a sweet sentiment and is perfect for children to give each other or ideal for their parents or grandparents on Valentine's Day.

The card begins with festive paper and is complemented by the background heart (by Crafter's Companion) and the stamped image (by Waffle Flower).  The Eyelet Outlet Balloons are key to providing the whimsy and serve as the finishing touch with their glossy primary colors.

No heart die nor stamped image?  No problem!  The card can be just as effective with the balloons in the middle of the card and the sentiment crossing over the balloon strings.

TIP:  Did you know that if you are in need of balloon brads but are out of them or want variation in the balloon shapes, you can use the Eyelet Outlet Ornament Brads?  Just turn the ornament brads upside down and tie on a string.   Without much effort you have a perfectly round balloon!

Head on over to the Eyelet Outset site and pick up your balloons and ornaments as there's still time to make those precious Valentine's Day cards!

Sparkling Ornaments

Today's card, 'Sparkling Ornaments' featuring Eyelet Outlet brads and snow bling with a background of holiday green and shimmery silver paper definitely makes the holiday spirit come alive!

Last week on the Facebook Eyelet Outlet page a question was posed: "Where do you come up with all these ideas?"  This card is a partial answer to that question.  I was watching a cooking show and a dessert was being made.  I watched carefully and realized that the shape was something that could be used in cardmaking!  For me, inspiration is all around!

With one small circle set, this card came together easily.  Although the base was always the same size, the inside circles are varied in size and can accommodate many different brads.  Also, this can easily be turned into a shaker card by adding acetate and your favorite shaker filling.

The snow bling plays a key role in finishing the card by tying all elements together.

To create my oval sentiment, I adhered a piece of Merry Christmas Washi Tape to White cardstock and then punched it out with an oval punch.
