I'm Your Biggest Fan!

Hello Eyelet Outlet Fans! Ha, ha! Get it? Fans? Yep! Today I've made a card that could be either a Valentine's Day card or a thank you card. It features Fans from the Telephone and Fans Brad Set.

The border of this A2 card is made with strips of Sparkle Red Glitter Washi Tape. I also covered chipboard letters with Glitter Heart Washi Tape to spell "FAN." I used a Heart Shaped Enamel Dot and White and Pink Paper Flowers.

Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree...

...with a fun ornament card! Ornament shapes make a wonderful home for pretty much ANY style of Eyelet Outlet Brad you love, but our Poinsettia Brads look especially pretty on a background of tiny flowers (some diecut from our Sparkle Red Glitter Tape!) and foliage. Music Note Washi instantly puts a holiday tune into our head, and a stamped plaid background set off by mats of more Sparkle Red Glitter Tape really shines!

Whether you are decorating for Christmas or celebrating Hanukkah, I hope your week will be full of light, love and laughter!

is currently adding ACTUAL ornaments to that tree!

Fancy Little Party Dresses!

Hi everyone! Today we have a new Guest Designer, Paula Edmonds. Paula is a great fan of Eyelet Outlet's products. She made two holiday dress shaped cards for the blog today. Without further ado, I will let Paula take it away!
-------
A girl always needs a fancy dress for all those Christmas parties! I created this dress using the Scrappy
Boy dress die. I can say this is my favorite die to use for the holidays! I used solid heavy weight red cardstock for the base and covered it with the Sparkle White Glitter, next I took a white piece of card stockand covered it with the Sparkle Red Glitter Tape. I ran the white card stock through my die cutter and thenfussy cut it to make the apron and waistline. To complete the look, I added the Snowflake Bling Red to accent the waist and neckline!
--------
Thanks for the great tips Paula! We love your dress cards.

A Special Delivery from the North Pole!

It's the time of year that I make as many Christmas cards as I can to be given to friends, family and co-workers. Time is always working against me so I look for quick cards that don't necessarily look like they are quick. Today's card is a good example of what I strive for and it's easy with Eyelet Outlet washi tapes, brads and bling.

The North pole print is from Cricut Design Space (#M1AB058D3). I sized it to fit as shown on an A2 card base. To jazz it up, I applied Garland Washi Tape to the top. Then I used three other washi tapes on the bottom - Pine Tree, Skinny Holiday-Green, and Skinny Washi Tape Green Dots. I inserted the Santa & Deer Brads along with the Tree Brads-Snow. Then I added Holiday Bling in the top corners and clear Jewel Multi-Bling in the  middle of some of the printed stars. The last step was to add a strip of Sparkle Red Glitter Washi Tape on each side of the A2 card before applying the the topper with double sided foam tape. Drop the mike! A jolly holiday card ready in less than 15 minutes from the Cricut machine to completion! My kind of card making!

Welcome Neighbor Gift Bag

While we usually think of using Eyelet Outlet products on cards and scrapbooks, you can use them for packages and bags too. The Design Team has produced many wonderful bags and boxes over the years decorated with EO products.

As they say, Necessity is the Mother of Invention. In my case, I needed a decorative bag to welcome a new neighbor on my street. I had made some cookies and instead of making a card, I thought a home themed bag and tag would be a nice thing to use as well as practical.

I started with a plain brown paper gift bag, I added stripes of Sparkle Red Glitter Washi Tape. It adds the sparkle I wanted and it works so much better than glitter cardstock because it flexes with the bag. I also added Red/White Dot Washi Tape. I wanted to add something floral to go with the floral images in my stamps so I used one of my favorites Flower Washi Tape. I accented the little tag with Red Jewel Multi-Size Bling. Then to make a big splash and make this bag extra special, I added White Pearl Swirl Bling. The last details were a Square Jewel in green and a Red Pearl Heart.

I am pleased with how this bag turned out. It's really quite pretty and definitely has a lot of handmade charm to offer. I will be delivering my cookies with pride in this gift bag. The same technique can be used to make a bag for any holiday or celebration. Take a look at your bag stash and see what you come up with!

Warm Winter Wishes Slimline

It's Janet here for Eyelet Outlet. EO has so many perfect brads and washi for holiday cardmaking. It's literally hard to figure out what you want to use!

Today I have a holiday slimline card featuring the new Female Cardinal Brad. It pairs so perfectly with the Cardinal Profile and Cardinal Brad sets that have been carried a while in the store. The Holly Brads are also so versatile and can be used on any holiday card. I used one here as part of the cluster that the cardinals are perched on. I also used Snowflake Brads in the background.

It's also easy to bling up your cards using EO washi and bling. Here I used Glitter Silver Washi and Sparkle Red Glitter washi for the mat and for the border going through the card. Just apply the tape to cardstock and cut with your favorite die or electronic cutter. So easy and you waste hardly anything!

As a finishing touch, I added some White Pearl Bling and Green Jewel Bling to the middle of the snowflakes. So pretty!

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you visit the store and get your holiday card making started.

Happy 4th of July - East Coast Style!

Hi everyone and Happy 4th of July! Today I've made a card celebrating the East Coast side of the country.

To make this card, I put a strip of Red Sparkle Washi tape on the edges. On top of that I place a white frame made with the largest die in the Spellbinders Candlewick Rectangles set. I love how the red glitter tape shows through the triangle openings on the edges of the die. In the corners I placed seashells from the Sea Shell brad set.

With the bottom layers done, I worked on the scene in the center. The main image is from an 8 x 8 pad from Graphic 45 called Catch of the Day. It's an image on one of the pages and it works great here as the main focus. I used Glossy Accents to cover the sign and give it a clear shiny look. I added more themed brads from the crab, sea shore, star, anchor and mini butterfly brad sets.

Sometimes the quickest and easiest way to make a card is to start with a great graphic like this one and enhance it with brads and other accents. Eyelet Outlet has all the supplies you need to do this. Even better, they have just about every theme covered!

Red Glitter Christmas Gift Bag

Hello everyone! So now that Halloween is over, I feel like Christmas is staring me down like a freight train! It's going to be here before I know what's happened. I thought making a few small gift bags would be fun and I know I'll definitely need them in December.

My bag pattern is from Cricut Design Space. After cutting and gluing it together, I used Tea Dye Distress Ink to enhance the edges and the flap.

This bag features lots of Eyelet Outlet goodness! From top to bottom, I used Pearl Strip Bling-500 Count in three rows. Between the first and second row, I applied Sparkle Red Glitter Tape. The ornament was made by laying strips of the glitter tape on red cardstock. In the middle, I used a strip of Merry Christmas Tape. Once it was all covered with tape, I used a Kiwi Lane Ornament Template to trace and cut out the shape. On the ornament I placed a Holiday Flower Bling, single Pearl Bling and a pair of Deer Brads. Finally at the bottom I placed a row of Fancy Long Bling - Wide in red.

I hope you are keeping an eye on our blog and Facebook pages because I know the Design Team has a lot of boxes, bags and tags that they will be featuring now through Christmas. You will get lots of great ideas for packaging this season. You can be the gift giving Ninja this year with a little help from your Eyelet Out friends!
