Joy to the World!

I've long admired Joy cards I've seen on Pinterest where there is a scene of some sort inside the letter "O."

I finally decided to tackle one myself and I really love how it turned out. I used one of the Eyelet Outlet angel brads, a palm tree brad, and also a sheep brad to embellish the nativity scene in the center of the card. I used gold foil card stock as an offset to the black letters and I used gold glitter card stock on the star.

Thanks for stopping by today and hope having fun using Eyelet Outlet products on your holiday projects!

Christmas Wreath

I have another Christmas card today. the lovely word background was created with Christmas Washi Tape. It works really nicely and was created by cutting a die out of an A2 piece of cardstock covered with strips of the washi. Then I pieced the individual pieces back into the frame portion of the die.

On top of the background, I placed a wreath and bow I had stamped and colored before cutting it out. It is adhered with foam tape to give it some lift. I decorated the wreath with Angel Brads and Red Jewel Bling. In each corner I added the beautiful Holiday Bling. Then I wrapped some twine around the spine of the card and tied a bow.

Christmas Tree Wonder

The colder temps have turned my mind to the holidays and card making for friends and families. There's nothing that says Christmas more than a tree full of holiday decorations. I made this one by cutting out the layers of the tree in smooth white cardstock. Then I colored each layer by blending a different color of green ink on it. I added red 8MM Cut Jewels, boots from the Santa Suit and Boots Brads, Snowflake Brads, Angel Brads, Sled Brads and a Star Brad for the top of the tree.

For the background, I cut strips out of Holiday Washi Tape with a die so that every other strip was of silver glitter cardstock. I added the Christmas sentiment and three Clear Edge Bling. This is a card with lots of sparkle thanks to the gold and silver glitter cardstock of the background. It is hard to capture the beauty on camera but it's quite pretty. Below are links to all the products I used on this card.

An Angel Gets Its Wings

I love old movies and the 1946 holiday classic, "It's A Wonderful Life," is one of my favs! So to continue with my "Christmas in July" series, here's a Christmas card that pays tribute to that film.

I did the sentiment for this card with gold foil iron-on, which I applied to my cardstock with my Cricut Easy Press.  I added an Eyelet Outlet holly brad and gold bell. The wonderful little angel brads were perfect and the one on he left is flying near a cloud brad.

Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to put some angel brads in your cart as you're planning your holiday cards.

Cupid, Draw Back Your Bow!

The beautiful sound of Sam Cooke's 1961 hit, "Cupid," rang in my head when I created this little Valentine card.

🎵"Cupid, draw back your bow and let your arrow go, straight to my lover's heart for me..."🎵

Eyelet Outlet's new little angel brad is carrying a bow and arrow that I cut with my Cricut machine and I added an Eyelet Outlet heart brad to the tip of the arrow.  Our wide grass washi tape is always a favorite of mine and I added one of our daisy brads to the card, too.

Peace On Earth

Can you hear the Eyelet Outlet Angel Brads singing a joyful holiday tune?

These angels have a sweet, slightly retro vibe that's perfect for adorning a diecut Christmas tree backed with Sparkle Gold Glitter Tape, studded with Pearl Bling and topped with a Star Brad. A mat and sentiment made from Music Note Washi completes the design.

Deck The Halls

I created the base for this fun fold card in Cricut Design Space by using the slice tool and the weld tool on some basic shapes.

The original sentiment image had a Christmas ornament included, but it felt like the perfect opportunity for one of our Eyelet Outlet Christmas tree ornaments to shine. I included some red gems on the garland and I adore our new angel brads who are helping out by hanging the garland.

Angel Christmas Card

Good Thursday morning, Eyelet Outlet followers!  I've been playing around with a little fancy fold card style this week and here's what I've came up with so far.

I used shapes and images from the Cricut image library to create this card and I thought the brand new little angel brads from Eyelet Outlet were the perfect embellishment. I also made the star from Eyelet Outlet silver glitter washi tape and added a little clear bling to the sky.

If you're a Cricut crafter, too, I've made this file available to the Cricut community on my Cricut Profile.

Snowy Christmas

Hi EO fans! Happy September 1st! Hard to believe we are now officially in the beginning of all isn't it? Today, I'm back with another holiday card. I just can't help myself because I'm so enamored with the new Angel Brads! For this card I've made a snow globe scene with one of the angels hovering above a church scene. Also in the globe are Deer and Tree-Retro Brads. I also added White Snowflake Bling. In the rest of the card, I covered the "ground" with Sparkle White Glitter Washi Tape. I made a bow and cut out the sentiment and attached them both to the card. Then I embellished with another Angel Brad and two Bell Brads

Have you started your holiday card making yet? I send about 50 of them each year so I have to start early or I won't have them done in time. So - one more to get me to my goal made easy with Eyelet Outlet products.

A Wreath of Christmas Cheer

Hello Eyelet Outlet fans! Janet here today with yes, a Christmas card! I hope you'll forgive such an early post but we have new holiday brads and well, you'll just have to forgive me for playing with them. It's too hard not to!

Wreaths are such a quintessential holiday symbol and I recently received some new dies to make wreaths so I thought I'd put one together and decorate it with EO brads and bling. The truth is that you can use just about any shapes to make wreaths but one secret to it all is to start with a donut shaped ring out of cardstock in the color you are using and build on top of it. This is similar to making real wreaths. My cardstock wreath elements all started as white pieces. The dies imprint the leaf veins so when I inked them up, the veins and other marks really come to life. I arranged one layer at a time and glued just the center of each leaf so that the edges would stay dimensional and allow me to tuck other leaves under them here and there. The goal is to make is look as realistic as you can.

Once I was satisfied with the base wreath, I started attaching brads and bling. Here I used the new Angel Brads and added Pinecone Brads, Poinsettia Brads and Red Jewel Bling. Then I added two layers of foam tape which gives a good amount of lift. I gently shaped the edges of the wreath downward to create a slightly domed look which again mimics a real wreath. I debated adding a bow but decided to feature a Tree Retro Brad in the center instead. I like the clean and cheerful look this gave it.

To finish the card, I chose a striped holiday paper for the background and cut an arch shaped mat in white. I stamped Merry Christmas at the bottom and then I applied the wreath and the silver circle with the Tree Brad. There's a lot of white space toward the bottom so I added three Green Glitter Enamel Dots to the front. This is quite pretty and elegant don't you think?

Devil or Angel

Here's a fun little birthday card using Eyelet Outlet's brand new Angel Brads and some of our Swirl Cupcake Brads.

The birthday girl is fighting with her conscience about whether to have one cupcake or two. I created this card in Cricut Design Space with images from the Cricut image library.

If you're a Cricut crafter, too, I've shared the file for this project on my Cricut profile

Let's Bake Memories!

It's July and that means card makers have a great excuse to celebrate the holidays six months early. Like many card makers, I love making holiday and Christmas cards. Any excuse is a good excuse for me! Eyelet Outlet makes it easy with so many holiday brads and washi tapes.

Two new holiday brads have been added to the store. They are delightful Retro Tree Brads and Angel Brads. Aren't they precious! The first thing that came to mind when I saw the tree brads was cookies. I knew immediately I would make the card I'm sharing with you today.

I found the cookie pan die pattern in Cricut Design Space. Once I constructed it, I attached Gingerbread Brads and the new Retro Tree Brads. This was glued on the card at an angle. I made the sentiment and glued that to the card too. Then I added Canister Brads, Mixer and Cup Brads, the new Angel Brads, and the spoon comes from the Baking Brads Set.

There is a lot on this card but I think it all works together well. It's so cheerful and I hope it brings a smile to you.
